Spring Flowers

Hi! Here are a couple of cards I made with one of my favourite stamps. I masked the circle before stamping, then coloured the image with inks. I added some detail with a white posca pen.

Never Chuck Your Rejects Away

Hiya! Sorry if you're bored of JOFY trees by now, but after running out of failed Oxide backgrounds to use, I found a failed Brushos creation. It was a beautiful heart from Indigo Blu, embossed in pewter, and I'd tried to create a lovely background with Brushos, but it just looked rubbish. It had been sitting in the Disgrace pile for a while, and I'd forgotten about it until I'd started hunting around for use-able rejects. I stamped the JOFY trees onto it, trying to get as much of the stamp positioned on the embossed design. The ink wiped off where the embossing was, but as the stamp is a scribbly pattern it didn't really matter that some of the design was lost. I used a glitter gel pen and some Nuvo Drops to bling it up a bit more, and I really like the result!

More Oxides and Spookery

Hi! Here's another card using a background made from Distress Oxides. I made the moon by adding a circle of Zig 2 way glue and covering it with gilding flakes. I taped the background behind the black frame, and added the die cuts of the cats and witch with 3D squares.

Hi! Here's another card using my teapot stamp, but this time I masked the teapot and used a stencil and ink dusters to create the background. You can read the sentiment more clearly that way!

New Bike!

Hi! I got a new shiny bike the other week, and it's beautiful! There aren't many things better than cycling through forest paths to make you forget your worries :)

My bike is a mountain bike, and definitely hasn't got a basket of flowers on it! But I still love the image I used on my card, however impractical it looks...

I've coloured with Promarkers, and added Stickles to the flowers.

Combining Colour Challenges...

Hi! I'm always a bit worried about how strict colour challenges are, as I often struggle to match the colours exactly. This time, my almost nearly matching colours seem to work for more than one colour challenge! Anyway, here's my card, using my new Kaisercraft stamp:

Too much grunge for a Wedding card?

Hi! I'm going to a wedding next Saturday, and wanted to make a card for the Bride & Groom that wasn't the usual white / silver / gold. I clear embossed the stamped heart and then used glimmer sprays to create the background, but I'm not sure. Is it too grungy for a Wedding card? It shimmers different colours in the light, though. Maybe it would work better with just one colour spray, a light gold or something? I might have another try later. Anyway, here's the card:
