Masked Heart filled with Wildflowers

Hi! Here are a couple of Valentines cards I made today. I made a heart stencil, coloured with ink dusters, and then stamped the wildflowers. I added a little bit of colour to the images with Promarkers. I added some gems for a bit of sparkle, and then some punched butterflies for some dimension.

Christmas Muse

Hi! Over at Muse there's a challenge to create a card inspired by this beautiful card:

The closest I have to this image is a digistamp with holly and a bow. This is what I came up with:

I coloured the image with Promarkers, added Glamour Dust to the bow, and Glossy Accents to the berries.

Stencilled Christmas Trees

Hi! Here are a few cards I made earlier. I'm trying to catch up on my Christmas Card makes, so I'm trying to make variations of the same card to speed up the process!

I used my new stencil from Artplorations, and added colour using ink dusters and Adirondack inks. I left them without a sentiment, and layered the white card on white, to keep them CAS.

I Love the Seaside!

Hi! It's the summer holiday season, and in a few weeks I'll be heading off for some relaxing sun and sea with my closest friend & her family! I really can't wait to get away :)

I have spotted a few holiday-related challenges around, and have just made a card that reflects my love of a quiet, empty beach, where you can walk for miles, or take a book, or go for a swim and not feel too shy about your swimming cozzy...

I made this using my Faber-Castell watercolour pencils, as you can just scribble a few different shades together and they blend really easily with a water brush. I added a bit of white for waves on the beach with a Uni Posca pen, and stamped some flying geese with an Inkylicious stamp.

Charm Bracelets

Hi! Inspired by a sketch in the current challenge at Feeling Sketchy, I've made a couple of charm bracelet cards. Here's the sketch:

I had fun making this card, so I made it in 3 different colours. I layered a few of the charm images, added Diamond Glaze to some of the beads to make them glossy, and then added 3 punched flowers with gems, and a silver flower charm. Here are the cards:

I'm entering this blue one in the Feeling Sketchy challenge.

I'm entering this one into the following challenges:

The Crazy Challenge: 'Children's Games', because kids make charm bracelets for each other

Just Us Girls: 'Stack Die Cuts' - I haven't got any dies, but the challenge says you can also use punches, anything to give dimension, so hopefully this will count, as it has flower punches and the layered charms I cut out :)

Made a Cat Stencil...

Hiya! I've made a cat stencil, to make cat versions of the butterfly cards I made earlier. A bit obsessed with stencils at the moment! I wanted to make the same card in different colours, and have been inspired by quite a few challenges :)

Here are a cards few I made with the new stencil:

I'm entering this card into The Crazy Challenge : Springtime, because of the bright colours, which make me think of daffodils, tulips, forget-me-nots and rain-soaked grass :)

I'm entering this one into the following challenges:
Inkspirational Challenges

These two challenges made me use colours I would not normally think to use, and I'm really pleased with how it has turned out :)

I'm entering this one into the Simon Says Stamp "Make Your Own Background" challenge, as these cards are home-made backgrounds that take shape because of a stencil :)

I'm entering this one into the following challenges:
Allsorts "Quick and Easy Does it!"
Crafty Sentiments "Anything Goes"

I'm entering this one into the Wags n Whiskers "Flowers" challenge. Any of these cards fit the 'flowers' theme, but all my favourite flowers are blue, so this is the one!

I'm entering this one into The Pink Elephant challenge - love the colours!

I'm entering this one into the CASology challenge: "Sweet", because cats and flowers are sweet, and because the colours remind me of sweets!

Card for a Lake District Mountain Rescue search dog handler

I was asked to make a card for one of the brave mountain rescue dog handlers in the Lake District. She wanted a card with trees, and preferably a black labrador. I haven't got a stamp for a lab, so I printed off a lab silhouette, and then used Lavinia stamps and ink dusters to create the rest of the card. This is what I came up with, before layering it on a card:

I sent the pic to my friend, to see if it was the sort of thing she wanted, and she loved it! But then she said... would it be possible for the dog to have a rescue dog jacket on?

After the initial panic of how to do this, I found a photo of a rescue dog wearing a jacket, and printed it off at the right size for the lab silhouette. Here's the dog with his coat on:

I layered the image on charcoal card and then onto a a green card that matched the green ink. I forgot to take a photo of the finished card, but my friend said she was very pleased with it. I hope her Mountain Rescue friend will like it :)
