I Love My New JOFY Trees So Much

Hiya! I can't stop making cards with my new JOFY set. I really love these cute trees! Here are a couple of cards I made, by creating backgrounds with Distress Oxides, stamping onto the background, and then paper piecing onto the stamped image on the card. I usually hate cutting out, but even I can manage triangles, and using oxides for colour means I don't have to do any colouring in! :D I used a Gell Roll glitter pen and Nuvo Drops to add sparkle and dimension.

Reindeer Baubles

Hi! Here are a couple of cards I made using Distress Oxides for the background. I am so addicted to oxides now, I think I need to buy some more colours! I have 14 so far, which seems a lot, but urggg... I just want them all!

The first card has a liberal spray of Glimmer Mist on the background, but I left the second one as it was. I layered the bauble die cut over the background, adding a bit or torn card under the reindeer's feet, for a snowy bank. I used 3D squares to fix the bauble to the card, and added a bow to the top. The bows took me ages! I am so rubbish at tying bows, damn faffy things. I might have to get one of those bow maker things.

Anyway, here are the cards:

Had to buy a stamp set.. I'm blaming Less Is More...

Hiya! The current Less is More challenge is stamp layering, and although you can do that in various ways, I've used it as an excuse to buy a stamp set that I have been drooling over for quite a while... Here are a couple of cards I made with the new set. Completely wrong season, but I love blossom! I added Stickles to the blossoms for a bit of sparkle.

Tulips

Hi! Here's a card I made for the CAS Colours & Sketches challenge. I was originally thinking of using 3 separate flowers to follow the sketch, but this stamp has the same kind of shape, if you count the butterfly. I coloured the stamp with inks and a water brush, then added a bit of detail with a white Uni Posca pen. I added a gem to the butterfly and the 'i's in the sentiment.

Hello!

Hi! Here's a little monster card, inspired by all the Halloween-themed challenges going on at the moment! I coloured him with inks and a watercolour pencil, and then added Glossy Accents to his eyes. I added a grey shadow under him, to ground him a little, but it hasn't shown up very well in the photo.

I'm entering this little guy in the following challenges:

Deep Ocean: 'Halloween'

Allsorts: 'Halloween'

Stencilled Flower

Hi! Here's a card inspired by this week's Muse card. I used a stencil which can be used to create a detailed flower, and also to create the outline around the flower. I created the detailed flower first, using pink and orange distress oxides, and then filled in the background with a paler pink distress ink. I stamped the sentiment with the orange distress ink, then added gold Nuvo Drops to the flower centre and dotted the 'i's in the sentiment.
