Found some gold paint...

Hiya! I was sorting out the craft room, and found some gold acrylic paint that I'd forgotten I had, and had never used... I decided to have a go with it. Here are a couple of very simple CAS cards I made with it. I'm still trying to decide if they are TOO CAS though!

In the first card I painted the flower centres with gold, and left everything else white. For the second card I used inks to colour the dragonfly's body, and used gold paint for the wings. For the third card, the gold is on the bee's stripes. I used a clear star glitter pen for its wings, and coloured the flower with inks, adding a touch of gold to the base of the flower.

Funky Flowers

Hi! Here are a couple of Mother's Day cards I made, using my new Lili of the Valley flowers! I love these images :)

I coloured the flowers with inks. For the first card, I layered up the middle panel to add a bit of dimension, and added a little gem. For the second card, I added white dots with a white gelly roll pen, and some glitter with a Clear Star gelly roll pen.

I Love You-nicorn

Hiya

Ok, I admit it. I am a bit obsessed with this unicorn image. So I decided to make a Valentines card with it. I'm not entirely sure the sentiment works, but I still like it!

The unicorns are coloured with smooshed inks again, and I used a Wink of Stella pen and a gelly roll pen to add the shimmer and sparkle.

Butterflies

Hi! I recently bought a new butterfly die, and this is my first try at using it. I made the background with Distress oxides and Glimmer Mist, and cut a few extra butterflies from it to add to the front of the card. I stamped the sentiment, and added gems to the butterflies. I'm not sure if you can tell from the photos, but the background is very shimmery.

Colourful Daisies

Hi! Here are a couple more cards made with my new daisies stamp set. Seriously, inking, spritzing and stamping is my new favourite way of colouring, especially as I'm pretty bad at colouring with markers! I really love this watercolour technique! I added Nuvo Drops to the flower centres in the first card, to give a bit of dimension, and the colours are inspired by the current Color Throwdown challenge - they are so pretty! I like the softness of the second card, from the chalky-look of the Distress Oxides. The colours are inspired by my friend Debbie, as she often uses these two colours together in her cards, and they look stunning! :)

Painted Harvest

Hi! I've been drooling over the Stampin' Up! Painted Harvest set for a while, and my lovely mate Debbie found it on eBay for me... would've been rude not to buy it! Here are a couple of cards I made with it. I masked the panel and then stamped the flowers. On the purple one, I added some leaves, and used an ink duster to colour some of the background green. On the blue one, I added mica powder to the flower centres and to the inked blue card border, but it's hard to see the shimmer in the photos.

Ruby

Hi. My lovely neighbour Ruby passed away on Friday. She had been ill for a few months, and in hospital with pneumonia for the last couple of weeks, but it was still a shock. She was such a lovely lady, and she used to look after our cats while we were away. She loved baking, and often popped round with cakes for us. We have known her for 17 years, and the street won't be the same without her.

I wanted to make a Sympathy card for her family, but I find them so difficult. You want them to somehow express how you feel, and they'll always fall short. I ended up trying a couple of designs, but went with the one with the vase of flowers in the end. I suppose that although they are difficult to make, sympathy cards are also a bit of therapy, giving you something to do when you feel so sad and empty.

Anyway, here are the cards I made:
