First Time Testing New Patterns!

Hi! I was recently asked to be one of the testers for two new bag patterns by Huff  'n Cuffs! I was a bit nervous, but I really enjoyed the whole experience, and hope to get the opportunity to test more patterns in future! Anyway, the patterns are the Ruby Handbag and Lila Wristlet.

I made the Ruby first, but I think the vinyl I chose was too stiff for the curves. I love the frog fabric though, and I like how it turned out, for a first attempt.

I made another two Rubys, one with a much softer faux leather, and one with denim. I think the denim worked best, but I like both of them.

Here's the Lila. I was really nervous of this one, because I hadn't tried making card slots before, but it was actually quite straightforward. I love this little wristlet!

Puffins!

Hi! I wanted to make a puffin bag for a friend, and ended up making two bags, because this fabric is so cute. I love puffins!

First Faux Leather Koda

Hi! Here's yet another Koda, but this is my first using faux leather. It was actually fairly easy to use, and I love it with the bird fabric :)

Hippo Hobo Bag

Hiya

Here's a bag I made a few days ago. I used the Hippo Hobo pattern, by Emkie Designs. I used faux leather for the first time, which was ok, just tricky to sew folded seams as you can't press it flat, and you have to use clips instead of pins. It was nice to use, though. I also used 3mm scrim for the first time, instead of fleece, but I wish I hadn't - it's a bit too bulky! Next time I will stick to the fleece! But overall, I'm pretty pleased with the new bag :)

Tiny Koda Bag!

Hiya! I made a unicorn bag for my friend Sanj, and her little daughter Jeevan tried to steal it, even though it's far too big for her!

So I made a tiny version of the bag for Jeevan, with a tiny coin purse to go with it :D  The bag is about 7" tall.

Such an adorable little kid! I love the photo of Sanj and Jeevan together, with their matching bags!
