As a mother, I am now realizing how hard it is to think that 9 years has gone by after having my first baby. It seems not so long ago that he was this sweet baby, binkie in mouth, sleeping and just wanting to be loved....
to this rambunctious, crazy kid, who loves video games, teasing his sisters, music lover, and running with the boys getting rowdy. This year he chose to celebrate by going to Chuck E. Cheese's and having his party there. We invited a few friends to come and celebrate with us and it was a blast! What more could a 9 year old boy love....pizza, dessert, and video games? It was a no brainer for me...I think he went more for the games than for Chuck E. by the looks he was giving me when he was dancing with the mouse. But all in all, it was a great time, he held on to his tokens and spent them wisely on every game, loved running and playing all the games trying to get as many tickets as he could and loved the fact that he got to go in the ticket blaster!
As my non-cake and ice cream lover, he chose to have a giant cookie as his cake....it was perfect!
Cole loved the ticket blaster and got quite a haul from the tickets he collected!
Don't mind the red eyes in this one....needless to say, it was an amazing night of Skylander heaven....he couldn't WAIT to try them out that weekend! He was so exstatic!
We missed our family in the celebration but was grateful to our new friends that have become our family on the holidays to help celebrate!
That Sunday we had a family party where Cole got to choose his dinner...daddy tacos (aka Parker Tacos), eat more cookie, and enjoy being our big 9 year old boy.
Happy birthday, Cole! You are my sweet, helpful, cute boy who I will always love and adore. You always try to please others (despite your teasing of your sisters) and love being such a grown up, responsible kid. You have great things ahead of you and we hope you know how much you are loved! Happy Birthday, son.
