A Wee Bit O'Green...

...and a couple of wee folks. Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! This is my DT card for the Creative Inspirations Wednesday Challenge. Our challenge this week is to make a card with the colors yellow, green and white. So I guess the green can count as a St. Patrick's greeting, right?

The image is a digi I bought a couple of months ago from Sugar Nellie. This is the first time I have used it. It's colored with Copics plus a little Stickles on her leafy wings and sponged around the edges with Barely Banana and More Mustard. The striped DP is MME and the yellow floral is Jenni Bowlin. The green gingham is from Jo-Ann's. The punch is from SU as is the sentiment. Flowers are Prima and the leaf is a MS punch.

Hope you like this fun spring-like card. I enjoyed making it. It was nice to be working with these pretty spring colors. Be sure to stop by Creative Inspirations today and see what the rest of the DT has been up to. I think you'll be inspired by this week's samples. We have a fabulous sponsor this week too - Crafty Ribbons and I think you'll be excited by the prize in the offing this week so be sure to get your entry made and entered into our lovely color challenge.

Thanks for dropping by and don't drink too much green beer!

Blue & Green Webb Knitter - OCC DT Card

From The Funkie Junkie

This week Jocelyn Turner, our hostess at Our Creative Corner, has given us a color challenge - make a card/project with blues and greens - your choice of shades of these colors. It was a challenge I was happy to embrace since that is also one of my favorite color combos. I had a little trouble deciding on an image to use. I scoured my collection of rubba, but nothing appealed and I couldn't seem to get my mojo started. I was tired of winter themes but didn't feel ready to move into spring, even though the colors would have worked great for a spring themed card. So I went shopping and while I have been dragging my heels getting into digis, I did find a couple of new Sugar Nellie digis that I loved. This is one of them.

I thought the image went great with this Rubbernecker sentiment. I bought it a couple of years ago and have never used it. I think card could be appropriate for a number of occasions - encouragement, birthday, get well or even a cute Valentine to give to a daughter, sister or BFF.
