Wow Sunset!

I was working at my computer when I decided it was time for my sundowner aperitif, on my way down to the kitchen I happened to notice the sky... it was incredible, I grabbed my camera and rushed out into the garden to snap these...

We are blessed with a big sky and wonderful views but this evenings sunset was the best yet, it was like the Aurora, amazing.

Don't forget to enter the 'Allure' Diana Vreeland book give-away, on the previous post!

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

When I Open My Eyes

Living in a French house, we have shutters, which most French people close at night, being English we have curtains, which most English people draw at night.  I have shutters and curtains and due to an irrational fear of being hemmed in at night, I don't close my shutters or draw my curtains.  We are very privileged, we have French windows in our bedroom which open out onto a terraced balcony, when I first opened my eyes this morning at 7am, this is what I saw, I simply had to get up, stick the kettle on and take photos.

Not being a naturally early riser I would have missed this if my shutters were closed and the curtains drawn.

Just When I thought Spring Was Coming

These were taken in my garden first thing, this morning. There were a few snow flurries yesterday, but I did not think it would settle. So the snow this morning caught me by surprise.  Seems like we will have to wait a little longer for Spring.

Sunrise, This Morning

This is what sunrise looked like this morning, when I arose at 7am. I could not resist taking this photo, as the colours were amazing.

And this was the view from our bedroom balcony a couple of hours later.
