Mood Soft

Loving the soft palette of this home. It really sits well with the quiet nature of the furnishings.

The spot lighting is perfect for keeping the mood soft. Nothing is too loud, too harsh or too imposing. Just a lovely feel.

Beautiful and Interesting

What a lovely example of cool family living. Everything is robust and not too precious, but nonetheless, beautiful and interesting.

I like the way the original has been kept alongside the new, and speaking of the new, even those elements give a nod to the character of the home. In the kitchen I really like the antiqued mirror used in the cupboard backs. Mirror is great all round, but i think the antiqued finish was the perfect choice for this place.

Set The Plot

It must be a white week round here. You got the memo?

Here is another stunning example of backdrop allowing a collection of colour and styles be the story.

The rugs in this home set the plot for each room, and the story gets developed beautifully by the v. cool furniture pieces, and is ably supported by injections of colour to round out the whole scene. Great home.

Currently In

Even though I'm currently in my all white phase of life (it took a good long while to creep up on me!), I still love a bit of colour.

Especially when it comes in the form of some beautifully saturated colour like in this apartment.

Apart from that I'm crazy for that timber burl clad piece with the stylish table/ chair combo. That's stunning.

Into One

This place is supremé luxe to the power of fifty don't you think. Soft greys, silvers, and low gloss combines to create a look that encapsulates luxury.

My favourite space is that bathroom with its silvered and mirrored walls and peach marble, now that is just stunning!

I also love the panelling with its soft sheen. It stops the overall look from being overtly feminine. And what a clever use of it in the bedroom, as one continuous low panel, pulling together the bed and the bedside cupboards into one plane.

Being Enveloped

I found these images really evocative of how I want the season to be turning. It has been a fabulous summer - cannot deny it. But it has been a very long and very hot one out here in the west.

I'm ready for the darkness to creep in along with some drizzle in the early afternoon and to spend a weekend enjoying the view being enveloped by fog. Call me crazy, but I am.

A Gathering

What a beautiful gathering this place is. A gathering of art, collectibles, textiles and style. One massive dose of style actually.

The reflections thrown around the space by the light, the vast planes of glass in the artwork and the brass really looks magical. And anyone that has the same taste in suzani's as I do is always going to catch my eye.

Adds To

This home does a lot for me. From the hard scapes in front through to the soft calm spaces within, this place screams considered design. Well actually, it probably doesn't scream, it most like discusses in a well developed intelligent manner.

But often times the details in a space are what really capture my attention. This time - the collection of timber stools in the kitchen. A perfect counterpoint to a chic and slick modern kitchen. And the fact that one of them is cloud shaped, well that just adds to the love.
