Fab One

As pre-fabs go, this is a pretty fab one isn't it. I really like the sharp modern external look which doesn't try and trick the eye into thinking it's a more substantial home. It's clearly a metal box dropped onto the site.

But indoors is where I really start to pay attention. The owners' collections of personal things - the plants, the art, the textiles, all add up to give the place a lived in and loved feel.

Most Certainly

Some images are just so evocative that you get a little bit jealous that you're not part of it. That's what I found at you found keke.

This particular home with its vintage bits and bobs and beautifully pulled together rooms just really caught my eye. It may have also had something to do with that amazing paella, and it most certainly had a lot to do with that kitchen.

16 More

Can one ever have too many bed spreads? A question that I've been asking myself lately.

You know I love my suzani, but recently a friend brought me back a gorgeous light cotton hand embroidered piece from Vietnam that I can't wait to use this summer.

And then I stumbled upon this fetching silver number which really caught my eye as well. Surely one for every mood is OK? That should give me about 16 more at least to find.

Never Out

Texture is never out of place is it. No matter what style of home. In this modern stylish concrete laden home, the texture really brings the place to life.

The raffia mat used as a wall hanging, the Moroccan blanket and the shaggy sofa throw really soften and round out the edges nicely. Even the Turkish bath towel in the modern bathroom gives the room a whole different look.

Runner

My favourite materials never disappoint me. This home has most of them, natural fibres, concrete and timber. Big tick, tick and tick.

Add in the contemporary styling, the white chairs and a never-out-of-place B + W stripe runner to the mix and its a real winner.

Bohemienne Twist

I love seeing people having the courage of conviction with their own personal style. Apparently the owner of this home has carried out alot of work to transform it from regular classic abode to her bohemienne twist.

Paint washing the walls, padding a plain fitted wardrobe with stunning fabric and filling the place to the brim with treasures. Conviction. I admire that.

And I seriously want her bed.

Seriously Clever

This is a seriously clever space. The number of elements in here that are low cost but still provide a hugely elegant look is incredible.

The painted white floors, the muslin weight drapes, the large format canvasses and the unified simple white frames on the B+W images - all budget savers but all adding to the sum of the whole luxurious look that's going on.
