    Disney has announced a new "Haunted Mansion" movie (in 3-D)... and to be directed by del Torro (of "Cronos" and "the Devil's Backbone"...) Supposed to have some good "scares" in this one Kiddies.....

 

It will tell the background story of This Ghostie....

Hat-Box Ghost Update

Director Guillermo Del Toro (who did "Hellboy") Announced this past Spring, that he will be making a Disney Films 3-D production of "The Haunted Manson"  Unlike the Eddie Murphy movie (2003)) This movie is to be "Scary and Fun" as he stated..... the storyline is to focus on the character of the "Hat Box Ghost" himself...

 as for those of who know of Disney's Haunted Manson ride.. there was supposed to have been a ghost, holding a hat-box and then his head disappears ... then is seen in the hat-box which he holds...  Sorry to say that they removed this character shortly after his addition to the ride ... here are some images and detailed diagram of him and his mechanical workings... I am not sure who crafted this life-sized Halloween decoration... Great job though.....  ( as for myself, I have never gotten to go to Disney.... and doubt that I will ever get the chance to go there ...)
