Devil's Tramping Ground Update....

A bout an hour's drive from here is the barren circle of earth , known as the Devil's tramping Ground... Located near Siler City , NC....

                       Some one was looking for "Devil's Circle Creepy Pasta".......
Sounded interesting so here it tells of using one of these type of "Circles" to cast a Curse upon someone.... Enjoy the clip

                                     These days it is only a littered "mess"....

Not Too Far from Here......

 
                                            Near Siler City ....... about 10 to 11 miles South.....
 
                   Is a cursed circle..... where the Devil himself is said to walk.....
 
                                               "The Devil's Tramping Ground"......
                                      He is even said to stop and sit upon this stump.....

in this soil of the circle ... Nothing will grow ... Duke University was even "baffled"  at their soil testings....

This is the 40 foot circle that so many fear and dread..... located in a sparely populated area.....

                                      ....even the animals avoid this circle.....

 This circle is a bit over 36 feet across and a bit "frayed" around the edges.. giving it the appearance of being a bit larger ( Most folk say that it is 40 feet across)

I have told you of the Devil's Tramping Ground in another post ... Here are two video clips on this cursed location that I found while searching the internet over these last few days

This other video tells of some of the "hazards" that could be encountered at the site.... The talk of the "winds" I have read about before... along with the absence of "animal sounds" ( as if the creatures of the wood lands are afraid to announce their presence in the area.....  Beware of Ticks.... (they said "small ticks"... these would be "Deer Ticks" rather than the more common "Wood Ticks".... These little things will cover you if not cautious I know they killed one of my dogs years back..... Somehow one day she was covered in them and died later that night)

Scientists found that the soil of the circle contains traces of salt This they say is due to the fact that at one time Long past, the area was an ancient "salt-lick" for bison and deer.... This still does Not explain why the area is a perfect circle or Why it has Lasted so long. ( the soil should have recovered over the many years since the time of this practice)

The Devils's Tramping Ground Follow up

I found this which makes mention of a "circle" somewhat like the "Devil's Tramping Ground"  and the Legend of this "Cursed" patch of barren earth south of Siler City has persisted since the time of the early settlers of this area and even before the time of Lord Anson's rule (in the "name of the Crown" as an English owned area....

The Devils's Tramping Ground

Located about 10 or 11 miles south of Siler City in Chatham county in a eerie place, called "the Devil's Tramping Ground" ...

 

 This Barren 40 foot circle is said to belong to the Devil himself....!!

 

the devil is even said to have used this Stump as a seat during his pacing of this patch of dirt ... Nothing will grow here... Even a scientific examination of soil samples by the NC Dept. of Agriculture gives us no cause as to why it will not support life...Satan himself is said to pace around in this circle while plotting His evil schemes and plans.....

Directions to this spot are as follows.... Take US421 South from Siler City... then about 7 miles out turn Right onto NC902.... Your next turns will be a Right on SR (State Road) 1106 at "Harper's Crossroads" and the an immediate Left turn onto SR1100... about 1.7 miles out you will come to a small gravel parking spot..... about 150 feet down the trail you will find "The Circle"

Hello from the Doctor.... ( a bit "Down" today, Nerves doing poorly I guess shaving is out of the question for now ... Oh Well.. that is at present a "lesser" worry...)
