This card was watercolored using Brusho paints and water. Water was applied around the heart using an aqua-brush and Brusho's were then added. I then added water to the bottom of the heart and let the water drip off the paper, sprayed water for a grungy splattered look.
The simple black 'love' sentiment plays nicely off the black panel. I think the offset watercolored heart is super effective. It almost looks like it is peeling away from the panel revealing the image below.
Left/Below: A close up of the heart I used to mask the watercolor panel. This card really took no time at all to create. Right/Bottom: The masking technique really was effective. By using a limited amount of water around the heart it gave me a lot of control with the paint.
Well, that should do it for me!! You will see me later in the day so until then take care and thank you for stopping by today! I know we all have busy schedules and your visit is always appreciated. So, until next time, happy stamping.
