For today I will be playing along with Simon Says Stamp, Inspired By..., Just Add Ink, and Freshly Made Sketches. Here is my card for today, enjoy!
| At first, I used ink to cover the white panel and it just wasn't working for me. So I put down a bit of white acrylic paint and added green reinker. I gradually added more green as I went down the panel trying to blend all together. In the end, I created an ombre backdrop of rainbow greens. |
| The three strips come from a card that was done awhile back. It was created using the Concord and 9th- Marbled Turnabout in all metallics. The cutout of the 'U' is from pearlescent green paper. Lots of shine and shimmer. |
My grandmother on my mother's side was from Ireland. Lucky for my sister she lived in Ireland for a time. So these cards do tend to be sent out to my family. Who knows we might venture that way someday and visit my roots.

| I just love making Halloween cards. This card an oldie from SU. I stamped the boot directly on the base. I masked the boot and stamped the web. |
| I flipped the sketch because I wanted to use the bat. It fits so well with the card. There wasn't a die for him so I used a trick to trace around he object you want to cut and then cut along the line. It takes out the guess work. |
| I used the mask of the boot to cut the glittery enamel dots and cut the dots along the mask. To my surprise, it was remarkably easy to do. I also added glossy accents to the strap on the shoe. |

| This card is full of balloons and colors! It is simply a digi from Bugaboo that was copied and with the magic of layers, the copied balloons were sent to the back of the image. It made for a very busy and festive scene. |
| Coloring the balloons was done with alcohol markers and highlights using a white gel pen |
| The 'happy' die-cut was stacked three times on top of itself. I stamped 'birthday' on heavy CS paper and placed the die-cut between the base and the scrap. I felt it made this card more interesting and festive. |
| Inked up the background using Chipped Sapphire, Faded Jeans, Milled Lavender, Tattered Rose, and Seedless Preserves. I sprayed it with water and lifted the ink. Then with a large dropper plopped some water down and picked it up using a terry cloth. |
| Using the Dahlia Turnabout Die I cut all the flower by turning the die, not the paper. I turned it four times and kept the petals to place in its inverse spot. It makes for a very interesting mosaic. |
| I stamped the entire sentiment on the card then stamped it again on gray paper and embossed white with some silver. Cut out the strip and attached it directly on the stamped image that was on the card base. |
| When I was a kid school would have blackboards. If I remember correctly it was always some students job to erase the board. Of course, there was always a residual white from the chalk on the board. That's what I tried to depict using the black square. |
| I think back to school I think of maps geography among one of the subjects of study. Also, remember those old library ledgers inside library books? That is what I tried to depict for the background paper. |
