Pearl Flower 2

 Hello All,

Today I will be playing along with The Color Throwdown, The Flower Challenge, As You See It, and Color Hues. Here is my card for today, enjoy!!!

These colors remind me of Spring.
This palette of colors and shiny textures is so refreshing, crisp, and so pretty. 

Above: The flowers were colored using a layered stamp set by Altenew. Left/Below: This glowing effect was down using Perfect Pearls and an Altenew layered flower set. I stamped the solid image of the flower stamp set and added Perfect Pearls. I then took the next stamp in the set and added VersaMark ink which lifts the Perfect Peals off the first layer. A darker blush tone was stamped for the next layer. Right/Bottom: I dry embossed and added gold ink to the folder that transferred to the paper

Autumn Scene

 Hello Everyone,

For today I will be playing along with Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge, CAS(E) this Sketch, Creative Knockouts, and Just Us Girls. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

The card started out with a kraft paper base. I stamped the plaid background while masking off the area for the trees. I took off the plaid mask, heat set, and masked off the plaid to stamp the trees. I took off the plaid mask, heat set, and masked off the plaid to stamp the trees.

The leaves were created using a combination of 'the baby wipe technique' and sponging using autumnal colors. I then die-cut the leaves and added them to the card.

This is one of the layered leaves I created using the same paper as the other leaves. I cut out the base of the leaf and then added two layers of white and the color layer for texture and dimension.

Crafty Stitching

Hello Everyone!

For today I playing along with Creative Knockouts and Double D Challenges. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

This card was stamped using the Concord & 9th Crafty Turnabout stamp bundle (link here).
It took a bit getting used to but when did it was so much fun!!

The sentiment was colored using the same color scheme as the background. I decided to split the background because I wanted an A2 sized card. I think the sentiment is perfectly placed between the background split. It seems to create a banner for our sentiment.

The needle and thread are a nice touch for the background and sentiment. It is crafty, artsy, and appropriate.

Wildflower Power

Hello All,

Hard to think about Spring when there is accumulating snow happening as we speak. But I saw Creative Knockout Challenge and its title is all I needed 'Flower Power'. Perfect!!! Here is my card for today, enjoy!

This cheery cluster of wildflowers was stamped using various shades of green and pink then colored the voids using Prismacolor pencils. 

Above: Wildflowers are from a retired SU set. Very much like spring with sprigs of color and green grass. Left/Below: The cluster of three exact flowers were done just by stamping. Meaning no fancy masking because of the see-through nature of the stamp it was very easy to cluster the flowers. Right/Bottom: The sentiment is also from one of my favorite retired SU sets. You can see the stamp with the swirls in its entirety attached with the sentiment the other swirls were from the same stamp just positioned differently. The grass and sentiment were masked using a strip of scrap. All I did with the grass is flick my colored pencil upward and filled in the bottom with a darker shade of green.
