Overlapping Eggs

 Hello All,

Today I will be playing along with CAS on Friday and Festive Friday challenges. Both challenges are about Easter- and well..... I don't see how this card could get you more into the Easter mood. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

Created a stencil using an egg die cut.
I started in the middle and worked my way out using Easter colors.

Yes, this card is very colorful. Yes, this card has the same image multiple times.
I would, however, argue that this card is CAS. Let me explain, Firstly, it is a one-layer card; Secondly, the image is consistent, graphic, and like I said earlier, a single item. Thirdly, and probably most importantly, the color. All the colors on this card are fed off of one another which offers balance and continuity. Plus, it took a second to make (well, okay, 5-10 minutes).

A short and sweet sentiment.

Challenges Entered:
Yellow, Eggs, Happy Sentiment

Thank you so much for stopping by and I do appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to spend time with me. I hope you all have a fantastic day and lots of good crafting vibes headed your way.

All the best,

Ridiculously Happy

Hello Everyone,

Today I will be playing along with CAS on Friday. I saw their color challenge on someone's blog and had to join in! I really enjoy these colors together. My inspiration came from the center image on the mood board.

I took my inspiration from the center image on the mood board. The turquoise border again the orange was striking! Also, its gigantic sentiment was an inspiration as well.

This 4x6 card handles the large sentiment and border beautifully. I think its size is fitting for the larger elements of the card, allowing it to remain in the CAS style.

This card was stamped and heat embossed using clear powder. I did my watercolor using Zig markers and an aqua pen to spread the color. I wanted the sentiment over the border but I knew stamping over embossing never is a good idea. To remedy the problem I ironed off the clear embossing. The embossing came up which left me with a perfectly smooth place to stamp my sentiment.

Retro Dotty Christmas

Hello Everyone,

For today I will be playing along with AAA Cards, Hand Stamped Sentiments, INKspirational, and CAS on Fridays. Simple and sweet but more importantly, it is a clean CAS look with a touch of Retro. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

This card was amazingly quick to make. The dots are one stamp; I masked, stamped, and placed the image exactly where I needed it with my MISTI.

Merry Sentiment

Hello All,

For today I am entering challenge from The Paper Players and CAS on Friday. Christmas is just a heartbeat away, so I better get into high gear. Here is my card for today. Enjoy!

I chose black for my background to contrast the modern element (black) with traditional Christmas elements (holly). The best part, it only took me thirty minutes to produce.
The holly stamp was embossed with white and then colored in using white pigment ink and an aqua pen. The 'splatters' were stamped using the same pigment that I used to color stamp and color the holly.
You may not see it in the picture but I diecut the sentiment with adhesive fun foam. I chose to use the sticky side to adhere to the letters, not the card. I used liquid adhesive to attach the foamy letters to the card base. The liquid gave me some time to move around the letters to achieve alignment. Worked beautifully!

Easter w/Oxides

Hello All,

For today I am playing along with Sunday Stamps, Fab 'n' Funky, and CAS on Friday challenge blogs. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

The images were 'painted' with water and then the color was picked up by a dry cloth. What was left behind were washed out images such as the rabbits, the carrot, and the eggs.
The background was easy peasy.
I sponged the panel with Faded Jeans, Fossilized Amber, Broken China, Cracked Pistachio, and Wilted Violet oxide inks.
I didn't see any pink in Sunday Stamps inspiration so, I didn't add any pink. Wow was that hard!

Yarn Cat

Hello All,

For today I will be playing along with Addicted to CAS, Cardz 4 Galz, CAS on Friday challenges. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

One layer card showing digital images from the company ClipArtisans.
My daughter loves cats and space! How could I go wrong with this card?

I wanted to emulate a space feel by stenciling a bit of blue with the Just Flow stencil from Stamplorations. The sentiment was stamped using a retired set from a-muse.

Circular White

Hello All,

For today I will be playing along with CAS on Friday, AAA Cards, and Cupcake Inspirations. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

Die-cuts were the name of game for this card.
I die-cut the circles using SSS product and the sentiment is a wooden die-cut that I embossed in white.
I left the edges of the sentiment untouched for a bit more dimension.
The monochromatic theme really sets this card off. Clean and simple design allows this card to shine.
Literally, shine!
The background paper is shimmer paper. I added it because it was fun, and yet still, very elegant.

Hibiscus

Hello Everyone,

Today I am going to enter several challenges- Curtain Call, CAS watercolour challenge, CAS on Friday and AAA Cards. All the challenges were so inspirational for this project. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

My salt technique is ever so subtle.
All I wanted to accomplish was the faint texture of sand.
A small simple sentiment goes nicely with the larger than life hibiscus.
I decided to reverse the Curtain Call photo and put the color in the background leaving the flower white. I think it really pops against these colors.
This teeny tiny flower might have missed your radar.
Masking with post it notes worked well this little flower. The rest of the flower was also masked off using repositionable adhesive from my Zyron. Rolled some paper through the machine so the back would have the adhesive. Stamped on it, fussy cut and placed it over the original.
 Challenges Entered:
Curtain Call: Hibiscus
CAS Watercolour: August 2017- Salt
AAA Cards: CAS Game- Masking
CAS on Friday: #115- One Layer Wonder

These flowers are so majestic and absolutely stunning! When discovering this flower I will usually stop and admire the sheer size of these things! And then there are the amazing variety of colors. Just awesome! Mother Nature sure knows what she's doing.

Well, that should do it for me!! Thank you so much for stopping by and do appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to spend time with me. We will see you soon. Take care and happy stamping.

All the best,
Shawna
