Intensive Care and The Body - Was I good Enough? (2025)

Two major forces in the industrial/noise metal scene, Intensive Care (Andrew Nolan) and The Body are used to releasing collaborative albums, so this one, called Was I good Enough? was bound to happen. The result isn't really surprising either. The good thing is that the quality is as high as expected. I just regret it lacks maybe a dose of craziness/unpredictability to make it really stand out among both band discographies. That been said, they've done another excellent album and I enjoy listening to it, as will anyone into dark industrial sounds.

Intensive Care - Antibodies (2022) + That We Be Made Worthy (2022)

Couldn't decide which one of these new Intensive Care releases review, so I'm doing both... Antibodies is release by the excellent Iron Lungs Records, and I think That We Be Made Worthy is self-released. Intensive Care is a Canadian duo with Andrew Nolan, ex Column of Heaven and Endless Blockade. What they do can be described as an industrial mix of noise rock and power electronics, and if you're into these kinds of sound I guarantee you'll dig it. Also recommended are the recents Andrew Nolan solo / split releases (he's been very active this year and I sure won't complain about it).

Intensive Care - Incinerated - Split EP (2019)

Another awesome release from Nerve Altar Records. It's a split between Intensive Care (from Toronto, with an ex-Column of Heaven) and Incinerated (from Melbourne). Great track from Intensive Care, somewhere between Godflesh and Obituary, with a massive groove (close to a hip-hop feel at times!), the four tracks from Incinerated (I discover them with this release and sure will check their discography) are excellent death/grind, also with a lot of groove.
Overall it makes a really interesting and enjoyable release, I dare you to resist playing it again when it ends !

Full of Hell - Intensive Care - split 7'' (2018)

A pity this split is just a 7'', it makes you want more from Full of Hell and Intensive Care. Full of Hell demonstartes on their 3 tracks a concentrated dose of their agression and that's good, whereas Intensive Care end on a less explosive, but not less good, note with their excellent noise/industrial rock. As could be expected those two goes very well together (Full of Hell often add  noise element to their music even though not really on this split, whereas Intensive Care is from ex Column of Heaven, a band that could well have inspired Full of Hell, or at least was also in similar powerviolence/noise territory, just more experimental and less brutal).
Excellent stuff.

Intensive care - Pay pig (2016)

Intensive Care is a new band with guys who were in from Column of Heaven and The Endless Blockade. On this casette, Pay Pig, their first release it sounds a bit like a development of the noise element in Column of Heaven. There's some Power electronics (especially on the three short tracks / interludes), mixed with the most sinister sludge and some early Godflesh (especially the two longer tracks). And they already really master that thing. A great first release and a very promising new band. Recommened!
