Family Pictures.

We had some casual/fun family pictures taken in April while in Boston for the marathon. A great friend was kind enough to take them for us- (weird being on the other side of the camera.)  Check out Kate Rose's photography here. She's amazing. We've shot several weddings together in Boston and it's always a pleasure to work together- we have a lot of fun. Thanks Katie! xoxo
View the ENTIRE session in a slide show HERE
WARNING: BAD hair for me. Jo's not very fond of his either... why is it so hard NOT to rip yourself to shreds when viewing these types of things?!! Focus on the little man, not us, we've decided that we're no longer very cute. It's sad. Oh well.

Five year ago...

We had been MARRIED FOR ONE DAY. We celebrated our five year anniversary yesterday. July 16th. Yes, you heard right, FIVE YEARS. We're that old (or we were that young when we got married)=) An old, boring married couple from yesterday years. And we wouldn't change it for the world.=) We went out to celebrate last night. Babysitters are a fabulous creation. It was a joyous thing to be out past 8pm. We had a wonderful dinner and enjoyed a long walk in central park.
Speaking of Central Park, it's also Manhattan's BEACH. Bikini's, coolers, bring it all!!

Although Times Square is not one of my favorite places in NYC, I walked through it with Beckham- curious to see what his reaction would be to all the people and lights. He was amused.
We also went to GRAND CENTRAL STATION. Bex thought he was in heaven as he stared up at the BIGGEST AMERICAN FLAG he'd ever seen. He went NUTS!!!

Hanging out on the great lawn in Central Park. Okay... we got a little board and went nuts with the camera. For some reason, this picture of Jordan (imitating the picture I had just taken of Beckham) made me pee my pants. I had people staring I was laughing so hard... one of those moments.

This is Beckham's favorite way to roll. With ONE OF HIS LEGS up on the stroller. He really knows how to kick back and enjoy the ride.

Lots of teeth, I've lost count. We love to SWING in the park.

Things I promise to never take for granted again…

69 cent baby food jars instead of 99 cents.

COUNTERTOP SPACE!! (actually, a counter top in general.)

A dish washer, HANDS DOWN!!

Living space.

My own bedroom (we love bex but could do without sharing a room with him.)

A WASHER AND DRYER IN YOUR APARTMENT/HOUSE!!

A vehicle. I don’t care anymore that I've never had a drive way. A car is something wonderful.

Central Aidr. My oh my.

These are such SIMPLE luxuries that I’ve been taking for granted my entire life.

I love NYC. But our living arrangements this summer have humbled me. Thank you for that.

Just one more...

I couldn't help it. I found a new favorite. ;)

Happy Nine Months Old, today.

We love Beckham because…

He is ALWAYS happy. He wakes up in the morning smiling and goes to bed at night giggling (not always, lets be honest, but mostly) He loves life and thinks that everything that happens to him is awesome.

He is constantly rotating his ankles and moving his hands.

He loves his mom and dad and screams in delight when either of us walk through the door.

He has a very sweet demeanor about him.

He is curious about EVERYTHING around him and must TOUCH and EAT everything in arm length.

He has four teeth (two top, two bottom) AND four tiny bump/stumps.

He is extremely enthusiastic about things that he loves.

He HATES getting dressed. He screams and whines anytime I restrict his arms… (arm holes and car seat straps are his worst nightmare). ;)

He LOVES American Flags and birds. Whenever he sees an American flag, he screams enthusiastically. You can imagine, living in NYC, how often this happens.

He is very silly. He loves to play games and gets extremely “wound-up” whenever he plays.

He LOVES his blanky and his Mr. Lion. You’ll find them both wrapped tightly in his arms each time he’s snoozing.

He’s bald and currently showing no signs of wanting to crawl anytime soon- should we be concerned?

He refuses to hold his own bottle and always knows EXACTLY what he wants.

He loves singing songs. Our family has a song for almost everything that we do. A pajama song, a wakeup song, a goodnight song… and our favorites- songs that are made-up in the moment for that particular occasion. We’re really weird around here… ;)

Beckham weighs 22 pounds and is still in the 95% for height and 75% for weight. We couldn’t imagine life without him. He makes life so fun. Happy 9 months.
