A few weekends ago, Mom and I were working on some Christmas gifts. We had the saws, paint, drill, wood glue and nails out- working away. Being as creative as we are, we never stay focused on the task at hand. Therefore, I whipped up this sign with some scrap wood and spay painted wooden letters from Hobby Lobby. It fits perfectly on the outside of my house and I made it just in time for Christmas. There was already an existing screw in the brick and it's located in just the right place. Doesn't the gold look great with the rustic wood?

Red and Turquoise Stockings
A good friend of mine asked if I would whip up a few stockings to match her Dr. Suess red and turquoise Christmas themed decor. I've created my own stocking pattern that I use time and time again. I was super satisfied with the way they turned out. I mixed and matched different fabrics so they're all the same but still different.
Isn't her set up FABULOUS?!!!

Ruffled Christmas Dish Towels
I can't seem to quit making these ruffled dish towels. They're super easy and pretty cheap to make. I feel like they're a decent handmade gift that's so much better than a bath salt or something cheesy. Here are a few I whipped up for Christmas.

As you know I'm an Aggie, so I made one for myself for football season. The orange UT one was for Mrs. Rooster since she just built a new house.

Christmas Stockings
Christmas is sure sneaking up on me this year!! I didn't even have time to post all of my Halloween crafts that I made...I'll just have to save them for next year. Several years ago I made some burlap stockings and never really did anything with them. I decided to decorate them for my boyfriend's sister and I made a Hello Kitty stocking for her God daughter.

Stay tuned for some Dr Suess themed stockings that are red and turquoise!

Felt Lettered Christmas Pillows
I get so excited about the Christmas season that I can barely contain myself. Last fall, while watching Aggie football I would cut out felt letters for this project; I love to watch football but I like to be multi tasking when watching any kind of TV.
I simply printed out letters onto paper to create a pattern for the letters. I cut out the paper letters, then traced the letters onto the felt and cut out the felt. Once I had all of my letters cut out, sewed them onto the burlap/fabric. Trick: I hot glued the letters onto the burlap/fabric before sewing. The hot gluehelped to keep all of the letters straight while sewing.

Gold Skinny Christmas Tree
Last year I wanted to change my tree from red and gold to brown and gold, also I wanted to get a tall and skinny tree. Life got busy, time got away from me and I didn’t end up with the brown and gold tree. However, everything worked out because my church needed ornaments and I was able to donate the red and gold. This year, I am on top of things!! I was able to get the tall and skinny tree; as well as, new brown and gold ornaments. Everything was up before I left for the Thanksgiving holiday. I cannot stand a bare tree …. As you can tell from looking at my pictures. The more ornaments, the better!!
The stem of the Christmas tree wasn’t tall enough for the pot; cement was the fix!
The base of the tree is able to stand on the cement in the pot.

Glitter Deer
I whipped up this glitter deer for my boyfriend’s house. He needed a little Christmas cheer in his house. I like the look of the girly glitter with the manly deer. What’s not to love about glitter?! This is just a piece of cardstock with glue and glitter; simple but still fabulous!
