A Splash of Colour!

Is the theme this time round @ the PlayDateCafe
You have to use Black and White and a splash of 'BLUE'
I decided on a Timmy tag as i just cant get enough of how they feel and how well they work with my distress inks... i need this tag cardstock in A4 i tell ya.
I stamped a harlequin background in black soot, then misted with water, let it bleed slightly and then removed the excess water with a bit of kitchen towel.
I stamped out 2 clocks, and a butterfly onto sticky canvas, i left the clocks blank and cut them out, but coloured the butterfly with chipped saphire and tumbled glass and stuck this to some metal and then cut out.
{I did this to be able to give the butterfly dimention and shape}
I pieced it all together and finished it with a stamped quote sticking out of a punched mini envelope.
I really like how the distress inks bleeds..Off now to try it with some other colours TTFN x
All the supplies I used are available from The Artistic Stamper.
Have a great weekend x

WOYWW /Play Date Cafe

WOW is it wednesday already... Julia and the WOYWW crew will be wanting a nose around.. but unfortunatly not much is happening on my desk.. well other than the little critters who decided to have a party while i was at work!!!
I did however finally get a chance to join in again with the PlayDateCafe challenge...
I needed a boy card in a hurry and these colours inspired me to create this...
Stamps used were Stampers Anonymous {fella} and Artistic Stamper {background}
I'm not usually good at altered style cards but this turned out quite cool
so i'm well chuffed, just hope the receiver  is too.
Thanks for visiting, It's blowing an absolute hooley outside at the minute,
so i plan to stay in and craft the day away, Stay safe peeps x

My Purple Heart....

Another week and time for another PlayDateCafe challenge...
Here is the inspiration and colours
And here is what i came up with
I'd not made any jewellery in quite a while..
I went to a small craft show in sept and got lots of fab lampwork beads... plus i have lots of other 'home stock' but had since done nothing with them, this challenge was the kick up the bum i needed!
Unfortunately the camera just didn't pick up the rich purple tones of the hearts very well.
All the beads are threaded onto a wire base and then attached to the cord with a jump ring cord twist concoction i created to be a bit different..
I also made a matching pair of earings.
Maybe in future i'll use more colour challenges to make my jewels.. Sometimes i need all the help i can get lol
Thanks for stopping by and looking.. come back again soon x
.....
{goodness me...well i never... there is always some dummie in the photo trying to grab the limelight! lol}
