Outside The Box!

Over at the Stampotique Designers Challenge their theme this week is to 'Think Outside The Box' which is quite handy as I have been doing just that with my attempts to make things for the DT call they have at the moment.
This is one of the pieces I felt just didn't quite make the grade for submission, but for this challenge it's perfect.
It was certainly out of my comfort zone, I've never embossed onto a thick acrylic b4 and boy did I have fun with it warping and twisting, which I kinda knew would happen, just not as much as it did!
The hanger has been alcohol inked and stamped from behind with angel boy, and then the wording embossed on the front and edges, with a a paper glimmering hope stuck to the front, and for a little added something I used mini bottle top alphabet which reads 'no angel' on the handle.

Right I can't stay here all day, I've Snazzy DT pieces to make!!
Till next time

ATC Play

I sat happily playing with some ATC's the other day, I managed 3 sets of 3 in a set of 12 I was doing, but was stumped with my last 3, That was until I saw the theme over on the Stampotique Designer Challenge
'Artist Trading Cards'
It was just the push I needed to finish the collection, and here they are
All the bases are playing cards
Covered with a mix of gesso, paint, pan pastels and stencils
And topped with stampotique images in black embossing powder and highlighted with a white posca pen.
I'll be sharing the other ATC's another time for sure, just not photographed them yet.
Thanks for the visit. Catch ya next time.

SDC49

Ello Peeps
Today i'm here to share with you a couple of cards I made for this weeks Stampotique Designer Challenge
The brief was to use 'Pink, Purple & Black'
So I set to work with the paints and came up with these..
I even dusted off the sewing machine for the top one to add some pink stitching.
I used MS paints, and found objects for the background, then just added a bit of stamping and the stampotique figures and I was finished.

I've still got got around to making my Timmy tag..maybe i'll do that today!
Catch Ya Later x

PP Play...

And no i'm not stuttering..
This is my entry for this weeks Pan Pastel Challenge
They have a 'happy birthday' theme

I used versamark through a stencil, then brushed the pan pastel all over the base card.
I stamped 'head' onto plain white card, as I did with the MME funday stamps, cut um all out and played till I found the layout you see b4 you.
Simples... But I like it.
What do you think?

Bad Blogger!

You'll have to forgive my sporadic blogging of late, I decided to go ahead and have signed up for a locally run craft fair, So I am frantically trying to get enough stock made so my table doesn't look bare lol
That and trying to get my knee back fighting fit with lots of gentle exercise!
The poor blog is taking third place at the moment.
So in the mean time I thought i'd share this simple little card so you're not looking at an empty space!

I've used stampotique's Portland backed onto a simple paint stamped and washed background.
I'm also sorry if i've not made it round to your blog, once i'm a bit more prepared for the show i'll be hopping on by to say hi for sure xx

Make a wish!

The Gals over at Just for fun have a month of shapely challenges,
The theme this week is 'circles'
I created mine with the bottom of a mini bottle and black paint.
I lightly washed some diluted black around the circles.
I thought they looked like dandelion stems {or like I call them wishes} so I drew on stalks
I stamped and cut out moon girl and sat her on them for a focal point to the card.
And finished with the wording.

Challenge Hat-trick!

I don't quite know where the days are disappearing to, I s'pose daily life is getting in the way more then i'd like it too. {I'd much rather be in craftroomland covered in ink, then doing the boring stuff like washing and shopping and visiting the hospital for scans etc..}
I did however manage a couple of playful hours yesterday, and before i hear smutty giggles {you know who you are} I mean in the craft room, {My dear other half was working last night but i did receive a very beautiful bouquet of lilies with a single red rose, and a hand made card which made up for the fact i spent the evening alone.} Anyway i digress..
I managed to finish my half started tag which combined 3 challenges
Sunday Stamper 'Love'
Simon Says Stamp'n'Show 'A Tag'
& Stampotique 'Valentines or Love'
Moon girl is actually made out of hearty clay, I stamped her into the clay and then cut her out and coloured her once dry.
The background of the tag is the rusted enamel effect from last weeks compendium challenge
I did manage another challenge tag but i'll save that for tomorrow!
Thanks for dropping by x

Mojo a No Show! Pt 2

Another day another mojo.. this time not so pretty..
My good friend Alison made a super card for this weeks Stampotique challenge using the fab 'Portland' image... Now there has been some discussion between us as to the gender of this character, she thinks its a girl, i think its a boy..
So i decided to make a manly card and this weeks 'not so sweet 16' theme seemed perfect.
This also fits in with the GC68 Colour challenge which is 'Red & Black'
Unfortunately after making the card i discovered that the actual challenge was to make a non girly girl piece, so i fear my boy card doesn't count but i figured i'd still share it anyways, they may forgive my mistake.. that i of course totally blame Alison for lol

So people what do you think.... Is Portland a feminine Boy or a manly Girl???

SDC13: Wings, Wings, Wings

I decided it was about time i joined in with the Stampotique Designers Challenge
I've been meaning to take part for weeks now but just never got around to it, till now that is.
The ever so talented Effie posted about a slight alteration she made to the Timmy bird cage and i thought it looked so cool I just had to try it out.
I've used 'girl with heart purse' who i coloured with copics, added padded silver wings too and then placed next to her altered cage home.
The blue flowers are grungepaper and if your heading off to Stevenage today for Stamperama, head on over to The Artistic Stamper stand where the lovely Hels will be doing make and takes {of these very flowers i believe} Sadly i'll be hard at work while you're all enjoying the stash frenzy, I am of course willing to except any gifts you feel you need to buy me in lou of me being able to attend rolf.. well a gal can try can't she! But seriously I do hope anyone going has a fabby day.
Anyways back to the tag which I finished using my trusty dymo for the words.
And thats your lot.
Oh look i totally forgot...Durrrr... The background was a dusty concord/perfect pearl spritz mix, sprayed onto a kitchen towel and then dabbed all over the tag, a lace border stamped down one side in broken china.
Righty that really is your lot now..
*Happy Creating*
