Craft Room, Oh How I Missed You!

OMG I have been itching to get back to my craftroom since Ally Pally and yesterday I finally managed it, Oh how happy was I, like a pig in S*@t I can tell ya lol
I played from first thing in the morning to late into the afternoon, and some of the evening too!
I had a couple of challenges I really wanted to take part in so I combined them
Grungy Monday 'Color Washes'
I sprayed the frame with red pepper, I also sprayed the roses on the art part dress form.
 The Stamp Man 'Embossing'
I used vinny the vagabond to emboss some red pepper core'dinations card with the regal flourish folder.
Just coz the whole piece is kinda distressed and shabby!
I used the smallest rosette and some trinket pins for the wording.
And you an just about see the very faint crackle created using the lush new fresco paints
For some reason it didn't crack like it should but I'm thinking it's more operator issues then the paint lol, I definitely need more practice! And on that note I'm away to play some more xx

Love Configuration!

Good morning Stampers
Well here we are at the start of Feb already and a new month means new challenges!
The first being The Artistic Stamper Creative Team challenge
This month it's a 'LOVE' theme
I created my very own configuration box
I started by off by using one of the already cool papier mache collage frames, but i added some cardboard segments to make my own cooler configuration, I painted the outside of the frame with a 'dash of red' Studio paint, Once this was dry i covered the cardboard inside with patterned paper and stuck it in place. I used tissue tape {made by myself as i had run out of the proper stuff!} just like Tim did in his configuration video to make the front look all neat and tidy.
I stamped the pretty flourish from the stampers anonymous 'Rockstar' plate along the bottom of the frame and added some tiny metal flowers from my stash.
I got a whole bunch of fragments and stuck them to pages from the seasonal paper stack, some of which i had stamped first using the stampers anonymous 'lovestruck' and 'urban chic' stamps, and some i stamped on top after i had cut then all out to give a different effect.
I found some acrylic letters that i treated in the same way i did the fragments.
I found a selection of items to fill my configuration gaps such as some maya road bingo chips and a love key for Tim idea-ology rangeI also made a little love note using a punched out envelope from more seasonal stack paper and stamped the little rhyme from the roses are red plate.

Finally to balance the frame as there was a big gap at the top,  I filled it with a TSS metal rose that i cut using the tattered florals die, i used the second smallest of the set. I was going to use the beautiful red metal, but then realized I didn't have any!!! {mental note to go visit the artistic stamper and stock up lol} so i used black instead, and before i assembled it i placed it into an embossing folder and just rubber it with my hand to get a less defined emboss. I lightly sanded it and then put it all together.
And there you have it.
One Love configuration.
And speaking of love, why not hop over to the Team blog and show your love to all the other creative members and there great artwork xx

Busy Busy Busy!!!

OK you got me, i'm not super busy like that title claims... but i am entering the
Lots To Do challenge with this weeks theme which is 'Distressed'
I can't believe its saturday already, All i can say is,"wow the adults were right", the older you get the more time flys by, talking of flying that leads you nicely to my entry...
I sliced into a canvas and wrapped the cut pieces round the frame to create a shadow box type thingy, I backed it with my 'distressed' piece of cardboard.
The frame itself i coated with distress crackle paint and then splodged on some distress ink to darken the colour, it didn't really crackle like i'd hoped but it did leave a cool textured finish which was good enough for me.
I punched out a bunch of circles in white card and proceeded to ink and stamp em using Timmy products, these once dry were stuck inside bottletops and filled with UTEE adding a sprinkle of micro beads while the UTEE was still hot.
I created a little birdy scene inside the frame, making a cage from wire and cutting the bird from an old book page.
The white mass behind him is actually UTEE, which i poured direct from melting pot to TSS big daddy mould , i then dusted it with a smidge of perfect pearls.
I printed the wording on my comp as couldn't find any sayings i liked so i made up my own.
Finished with some twigs from my garden and a few musical notes and you have the finished artical.
