Inspired By:

Hay super people..
So the blogging has been a bit sparse this week, BUT I have been very busy creating, mainly DT projects for next week that I obviously can't share just yet. And a few other projects that I just haven't gotten around to  photographing yet!
I did however make and photograph my entry for this weeks PaperArtsy Challenge.
The lovely Linda Cain is back and showcasing some very cool projects.
The main inspiration for my piece was Linda's 2nd project, I loved the metal edging and harlequin background, as well as the layered images.
.....
I used one of my 007 Lynne Perrella images layered up on another from set 005 and tinted with distress ink.
I actually stencilled with some gesso and texture paste, then when it was dry I coated the whole piece with 'irish cream' fresco.
I blackened the embossed copper tape with 'little black dress' fresco, rubbing a little over the raised harlequins.
I used some Crafty Emblies cogs that I stamped with images from the 'clocks #3' ink & the dog plate, I also used the phrase from the same set stamped on some Tim Holtz paper.
*****
So thank you Linda for the inspiration.. I look forward to next week and another fab designer to inspire me!

Thank 'Crunchy' it's Friday! Inspired By:

It's time again to share the piece I made for this weeks PaperArtsy challenge after being inspired by all the fun uses Helen Chilton came up with for PA's 'crunchy' wax paper.
I've had a pack of unloved 'crunchy' for about 6 months + with no clue as to how to use it..
But not any more... Thanks to Helen x
I tried most of the techniques {minus the ironing} and made a little sampler card.
I just received the Lynne Parrella 007 stamp plate, which was a prize win {YEP you can win stamp'age peoples, so why not be inspired and join in too.} I had to get the main image from the new plate onto the card as I just adore her, {the original image I did have ready got the boot lol} She was coloured with watered down fresco paints.  I also used one of the feathers from the new plate too. Other stamps used were: Eclectic #6 & Wings #1.

So now I know how to use my crunchy, hopefully it won't be unloved any more!
Thanks for stopping by..
Till next time..
