Only a quickie..

This is one of the elusive rings i kept mentioning that I've been making up to hopefully sell at a fair in November {should it go ahead!} Finally managed to take a pic of one, not that's its a very good pic, a bit bright, still learning with the all singing all dancing camera i got last Christmas lol

Made very similarly to the brooch its just felt, lace and a vintage button!

Felting again..

Yep i've been at the old wool tops again seeing what i can come up with and this time i've created a pretty little brooch.

I rolled a small amount of wool to make a ball, wet felted it and left it to dry.

Once dry i cut it in half.

I sowed some lace all round the edge, threaded some seed beads for detail and finished by attaching a wire butterfly.

I finished the back with just a circle of felt and a brooch attachment.

I've still yet to photograph the assortment of rings i've been making but when i get time i will be back to share.

I hadn't really thought to sell my work but a few friends suggested it, so i'm giving it a try... and that's why there hasn't been much blogging going on, but as you can see i have been busy creating!

Stampboard Brooch Swap

I'm taking part in a swap held by Sid over on UKStamper to alter a piece of stampboard and make it into a brooch.

Here is my efforts...

I actually had alot of fun trying to make the piece as un-like just a piece of stampboard as possible, which was quite hard but i think it turned out ok

I hope whoever ends up with it is happy :O)
