Butterfly Wishes!

As alot of you know I am now up in London in readiness for Ally Pally this weekend,
SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLL {sorry i'm a wee bit excited to see all my pals}
But b4 I left I did manage to make my entry for the following challenges
Country View Crafts Challenge with their 'Butterflies' theme and
IndigoBlu Forever 21 Challenge with their 'Words & Phrases' theme
I've used one of my prize stamps from IndigoBlu 'Elizabeth Bennet' and coloured her with copics.
My first colouring attempt at the larger flowers wasn't quite up to par so I stamped them out again, and when I was happy with the colours I cut them out, mounted then on top with some foam mount which added a nice dimension to the overall look.
I also did the same with the butterflies although the teeny tiny butterfly was cut from paper at some point and was randomly found on the floor the day I was making the card....spooky!
The wording is also an IndigoBlu stamp from their 'little voice' set, stamped onto a tag and then mounted onto a nestie die-cut shape, as was the main image. Don't ask me the names as they have all gone clean out of my head!

If you are attending Ally Pally you will find me lurking at the PaperArtsy stand with my good buddy Gillian and the rest of the #PATWITS so if ya see me do stop, introduce yourself and say Hi, I love to meet fellow craft folks xo
I hope to get lots of photo's so will be back to share them some time after the weekend.
Till then...Stay Inky

Outta the Blu!

Good day fellow crafter's, I hope you all had a crafty weekend.
I sure did making my entry for the Brand Spanking New monthly Indigo Blu Challenge.
And when you see the prize that's on offer you'll wanna play along too.
The first theme as you might expect is BLUE.
And here is my offering:
I decided to work with the 'Wreathed in Smiles' set

{which you can see is a christmas set} as I had won it from my local craft store {Craftasmic} over the christmas period but not had chance to use it. It just shows how versatile the stamps are.
***
I started by stamping the swirl in the 4 corners, I then stamped the wreath onto a nesties 'labels 22' die-cut.
I layered another nesties 'floral oval' over the top making it look like I used a background stamp.
I made a bow from seam binding, flattened it out as best I could and used the bow stamp on top, I wasn't sure it was gonna work but it came out really good.
I stamped and fussy cut 2 ferns and layered up the card adding a red heart, metal embossed & inked butterfly, mini roses and some lace.

I hope you like my offering, I'll have my fingers, toes and everything else crossed come the 21st of next month lol.

Right I must dash, It's my week over on the Snazzy's DT blog and my posts won't write themselves lol
here is a wee peek at my first project which is up already HERE.
Stay Inky
