Grungy Grunge Day!

YAY another thing on my to do list completed.... I was having a play yesterday evening and came across a blank grungeboard bracelet I had pre-cut to size, so as Grungy Monday is having a 'grungeboard extravaganza' challenge I figured it was time to do something with it.
I started by giving it a coat of snow cap dabber, then coloured with peeled paint distress stain.
{waited for this to dry and re-apply more stain}
Once that was all dry I stamped a Wendy Vecchi phrase and a part-section of an Artistic Stamper brush image.  I then used forest green stazon to add some Wendy Vecchi dots, masking off the brushes first.
For the closure I used a Tim Holtz hitch fastener and a large green eyelet {which I now know to be a tad too big, but hay ho}
I matte accented the phrase and then gave the whole thing a coat of matte medium to seal.
Granted it didn't really turn out very grungy but hay that's OK.

Until next time

I'm Crackin Up!

No i don't mean literally although some would disagree! I am of course talking Compendium Of Curiosities with it being page 42's 'Distress Crackle' this week.
After seeing Hels doing an ATC i realized it had been an age since i had made and swapped one, So Hels if your up for it.. I'll swap an ATC with ya!
And here it is...
I used an atc piece of timmy paper from the vintage shabby pad, the sheet music one not that you can see it very well after its coat of rock candy crackle. I die cut all the shapes with timmy dies from grungeboard. And cut the wording from old book pages.
This is also my entry for this weeks Sunday Stamper 'Music' challenge

Delayed Reaction Copycat!!

As much as i love this grungeboard purse project... it was not my own idea.. i saw a fab one created by Linda some weeks ago and just knew i wanted to give it a try.
I coloured my grungeboard with vintage photo distress inks, then stamped the fab artistic stamper houndstooth pattern over the entire piece, folded it to resemble a purse, and then punched the holes down either side with my BIA, i threaded together with string, which i also lightly coloured with ink.
I attached a clasp from my collection with eyelets to close, and embellished with some Tim Holtz idea-ology bits, i also made a grungepaper flower using the flower power stamp set and dotty background stamp also from AS,
The back i kept simple by adding a closed stamped zip.
Quite a simple but fun project to create.. why not give it a try yourself.. would make a nice little gift for someone perhaps!

Canvas Club Pt 2 (well it started that way)

This canvas started out as another one for swapping but as i was making it, it started to take form and by the end it was a full on ME canvas lol, i can't explain it but sometimes things just make themselves (i don't mean literally, i'm not a witch or anything!!!)
Anyway, i thought that while i was in the process i would take some pics of actually making it not just the finished item, coz i wanted to play with my new camera aswell.....
Here is me hard at it... lol
I used the same sort of things for this canvas, stamps,
inks but added some dabber painted grungeboard and a sprinkle of embossing powder too.

And here is what i made and am KEEPING ALL FOR ME LOL :op
