Foxy!

I think my Mojo is on vacation...I'm just not feeling it lately. I try and try to sit at my craft table and pick through this, pick through that trying to get inspired, but nothing is working out very well. This is actually a card I made a while ago, when my Mojo was still with me, LOL.
I used the striped ribbon for color inspiration. I love the warm earthy colors in it. And as luck would have it, it paired beautifully with the DP, which is from K & Co. (I think.)
Well, I'm off to work. Hopefully Ms. Mojo will be coming back from her little (very little, ultra mini in fact) vacation! I don't like not being creative, I get very restless.
Thanks for stopping by!

Gorjuss Early Bird

I forgot about this cutie card I made a couple of weeks ago for a sketch challenge, although I can't for the life of me remember which one. I had just gotten some of the new Early Bird papers from Cosmo Cricket and they inspired me to use a Gorjuss Girl stamp from Sugar Nellie. Sometimes my collection of stamps grows faster than I can use them, and periodically I go back through them to see what I want to use again. I don't like to get stamps that I only want to use once, LOL!

Here's a closer look at the card:
You may notice I've started layering my ribbons a lot. This came to me suddenly when browsing Strano Designs ribbons store. They have ribbon magnet sets (which is another idea I love) that really appealed to me, the combination of colors, the patterns-- it inspired me to use the idea for cards. I tried layering a very wide polka dot, with a slightly narrower stripe, with an even narrower sold all together in a bow, and loved the look! A very dramatic embellishment for very little time and money!
Amazing how inspiration can come from the unlikeliest of places, isn't it?
Hope it inspires you a bit!

Gorjuss in Pink

I have to say, I LOVE, love the Guide Lines 2 background stamp set from Papertrey Ink! The background paper you can create with this set just come out so beautiful! I'm amazed everytime I use it.
This card is just all frills, girly pink and polka dots. I would've loved to get this card when I was a little girl, I was obsessed with all things pink!
On another note, we're getting another dog this weekend! DBF and I are taking the 6 hour drive tomorrow to pick up our new puppy, Ollie. We figured our Springer Spaniel Pepper needs a companion. So it's back to house training and having a constant watchful eye over the new puppy. Phew, I'm tired just thinking about it! LOL. I'll post pictures as soon as we get the little cutie!

Gorjuss For Everafter...

Sorry for the corny title, but I couldn't resist! There are so many adorable character stamps out there lately, it all started with Magnolias for me. Then the Rachelle Anne Miller stamps, then Sara Kay and Elisabeth Bell, now Gorjuss girls...with more on the way. Sigh...I am always broke. Just yesterday I received my adorable stamps from The Greeting Farm. I'll be posting one of those cuties soon.

I used the new Cosmo Cricket paper collection Everafter for this card. I had a heck of a time trying to line up those scallops though! Went through a couple pieces of the DP till I got it right. I hate when that happens!

Hope it inspires!

Gorjuss Girl & Porcelain

Paired up this sweet Gorjuss Girl with some Porcelain paper from the Basic Grey collection. The colors are so beautiful, I love the watercolor washes they included in this kit instead of the usual solid color papers. I punched the flowers with a McGill flower punch I picked up at Michael's a little while ago, embossed them to give them dimension and glittered them up with Stickles. Who needs Primas?!! LOL.
Well, I'm off to enjoy the warm temperatures, resume my daily walking routine now that I won't get frostbite!
Till later!

My Gorjuss Girls Are Here!!

I just had to take a break from my Magnolia DT cards to play with these beauties! Isn't she stunning?! I love the simple, sweet expression (or lack thereof) on her face.
Anyway, I just came up with this one very quickly, just to get it out of my system so I could continue doing what I should be doing! LOL.
From what I understand, there are to be more Gorjuss Girls from Sugar Nellie coming soon...sigh. These stamp companies are out to get me...
Thanks for stopping by!
