Many Thanks - Another Watercolour Card

Hello everybody,

Gayatri here today! I am sharing with you another watercolour card using Faber-Castell's Gelatos.

I have used watercolour paper for the panel which I stamped with the flowers and sentiment using Archival Jet Black Ink.  I then generously spritzed the panel with water. Then I also rubbed some blue, yellow and pink gelatos on my craft sheet which I also spritzed with water. I then took a round brush and applied the coloured on the watercolour panel. I let the colours blend and dry on its own.  How beautiful is that background. Love it! I then used the black Mr. Huey to spatter some black ink. I then added some tiny rhinestones for some bling.

Here is a closeup of the card.

These are The Craft's Meow stamp sets I have used on my card.

Many Thanks!

Helloooo! This is Gayatri here today. How are you doing? Hope you are all enjoying your summer. I am in the southern hemisphere and it is winter here for me. Past few days have been nice sunny yet freezing cold during the morning and evening. At least it is not raining. That will make life miserable.

Anyway, I am here to share my card with you. As much as I like using a stamp set to stamp my focal image and sentiment, I LOVE combining stamp sets.  Especially if I can use a holiday stamp set for a non holiday project. This is what I have done with my card below.

While shopping around last week, I was drawn towards a cushion which had bold black stripes with a big colourful flower on one side. Among a huge pile of cushions, this one caught my eye. I wanted to try it on my project. All I wanted was a long striped stamp. I found it on a holiday stamp set called Holiday Foundations.

I used the thin long stripe stamp and stamped using Archival jet black ink at an angle on the card front. I did not want to cover the entire card front because I like white space and it is perfect to stamp the sentiment.

For the flower and leaves, I chose the flower from a Sympathy Stamp set called Hope Blooms.

This flower has the modern look I am after. Instead of stamping the flower and leaves on white cardstock and colouring, I stamped them on coloured cardstock and cut them out. This give a clean, minimalist modern feel to the card. I cut the center part of a second flower and layered it.

Finally for the sentiment, I wanted a sentiment with bold font. I found it in Many Thanks Stamp Set.

Many Thanks

This is a clean simple bold card. I love to combine different stamps from different sets to make a card. Hope you liked my design process and next time something catches your eye while shopping, take a photo using your phone. Try and make a card using your inspiration:)

Thanks for stopping by!

Floral Thanks

Hi all, Lin here today with a simple thank you card.  I used some colored inks to show off this lovely airy flower from our Flower Garden set, trimmed out my stamped panel with a bit of fussy-cutting, then framed it with some coordinating solid papers.  I thought the lovely font on the sentiment from Many Thanks complimented the flowers nicely.

Here are the stamp sets I used today:

Thanks for visiting us today - hope your long weekend here in the States is a great one!  Take some time to remember the brave men and women who have sacrificed for our freedoms.

Thank You Note card set

Hey everybody,

Gayatri here today. It is 2nd of the month and it is my turn to bring you today's post. I have not done a traditional card today. But instead made a Thank You flat note card gift set.

Here is the note card gift set for you.

I will explain to you my design process and how this note card set came about.

I had these green envelopes from Stampin' Up! for a few years. They 5 1/4" x 3 1/4" size envelopes. I love the olive green colour of the envelopes.  I wanted to use them in my project.
I also bought Colourbox mini gold ink recently which I wanted to use on my project. Finally, lace is trendy at the moment. Gold, lace and green together is perfect.

What project to make was my next question? After much thought, I wanted to make a gift set. A stationery gift set. Thank you note cards are perfect.

Then, I went through my TCM stamp binder to chose the stamps I wanted to use. I chose Lovely Ovals which had gorgeous lace designs in it. Then I wanted Thank You sentiment. I searched through my TCM collection and can you believe? I didn't have a simple Thank You sentiment! So I decided to cut the "Thank you for all you do" stamp from Many Thanks stamp set. I love the font with a nice curve on that sentiment and is perfect to go with the lace design. I braved and cut the stamp so I now have the 'Thank You' and 'for all you do' separately. They can still stamp very well.

Many Thanks                Lovely Ovals

So after some trimming and stamping, here is a set of Thank You note cards with envelopes.

I love the stationery look of the note cards. They are flat so you write the message in the space provided. I also love the gold stamping. It shines at an angle. Gold and white are elegant together.

I also stamped the envelope with the sentiment using the gold ink to coordinate with the note card.

And here is the packaged note cards and envelopes.

I put them in a large glassine bag, used a green doily die cut, tied a bow using an organza green ribbon with a simple gold thank you label.

I played with photoshop and added some fun faux bokeh effect on my final photo below. Cool huh!

A simple flat stationery note card set made using couple of stamps and packaged can make a beautiful gift to a co-worker or a teacher or your boss or for wedding guests..... Quick and easy to make.

Hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by!

Pretty Pastel Thanks Card!

Hey dear TCM fans!
Gayatri here today sharing a card using pastel colours.
First here is the card for you.

I have used Flower Garden and Many Thanks stamp sets to make my card. First I trimmed a 4'x 51/4' white cardstock. I then made a banner mask and masked slightly above the middle of the card panel. I then stamped the flowers in grey, pastel yellow and blue. Stamped leaves in pastel green. I have used Impress Inks for the colours and Going Gray SU ink for the grey. I then removed the mask. You can stamp the sentiment on the masked area but I wanted the sentiment to stand out. So I stamped the bold sentiment from Many Thanks stamp set on a scrap white cardstock and made a banner. I have adhered this banner using foam adhesives. To add interest, I added some rhinestones as well. This finished panel is adhered on to the cardfront using foam adhesive.

Here are the two stamp sets I used for my card.

Thanks!

Hello TCM Friends!
It's Sharri here with a colorful card to share with you today.
It's that time of year when spring fever starts to hit many people that are in the middle of the cold winter season - me for one! LOL!
I love the bright colors of spring and with spring fever in full swing, I decided used bright spring colors for my card.

I used the newly release Many Thanks stamp set along with the butterflies from Butterfly Kisses.  The papers are from an older Cosmo Cricket paper pack called Pixie-licious. I added an embossed panel behind the sentiment for interest.

I finished off the card with a few rhinestones to accent the sentiments and butterflies.
Enjoy your day and thank you for stopping by!
