New release from Lili of the Valley

How cute are these penguins?? They will be in the Lili of the Valley Etsy shop from tomorrow.

I teamed the image up with the Mythical Glade Layering Die from Tonic.

I have done practically no crafting during lockdown because I was homeschooling my 2 girls. It's definitely been a challenge. I felt like a total novice when I sat down to craft yesterday and I think it's going to be a long while before I get back in to the crafty groove. I definitely need to do a Kit and Clowder class - I just hope it's safe for the girls to return to school in September and I get time to craft!

Baby bunny!

Oooh, this is the first tent card I've made that doesn't fall over :-) Awesome! I'm practising because I'm making a tent card in my first class in a couple of weeks time. Eeek!
I've used the very scrumptious Maja Design 'Coffee in the Arbour - White Daisies' paper. Yum! I've dabbed some Ranger Malted Milk acrylic paint around the edges because the 12" paper was edged but when I cut it, it was only edged on two sides and looked decidedly odd!!! The stamp is from the LOTV 'Babies' clear set of stamps and shamefully it's the first time it's been inked. The word is from a Woodware set - patchwork baby elephant, I think. The baby clothes in the aperture is the Memory Bo baby clothes die - 98628.
I'm going to make another tent card and write down all the instructions so that I'm good to go for the class. We'll also be making a card with a Woodware heart stamp and lots of buttons which I'll photograph. I didn't write up any instructions because I didn't think anyone would sign up for the class!
Big thank you to Lorraine at Mrs B's blog for telling me what yellow promarker pens she uses, I like these better than the copic yellows.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I really appreciate your visit. Hugs. Jayne xx

Primulas and Bluebells

Good morning!  We are off to the park this morning but it feels a bit chillier than I was expecting - might be crazy hat weather :-)

This morning I'm sharing another LOTV flower card. This one is Primulas and Bluebells teamed with Melissa Frances 'C'est La Vie' papers (which I've had forever but are sooooo pretty I can't usually bring myself to cut them!!!).

I've even hand stitched the papers - I may have to stop with that, I end up with way too many injuries ;-)

The lovely manager at my local Samuel Taylor's has asked me if I would like to teach some craft classes so I am currently freaking out and trying to get some samples together of what I might do. Hopefully, when my big girl goes back to school net week I might get five minutes peace to work something out. That's if my little climbing monkey ever goes to sleep in the afternoon. Ahh, life is top fun :-)

Hope that you're having a great weekend. I hope to get back to blog visiting this next week - apologies for my absence. Hugs, Jayne x

First LOTV DT card :-)

I was super excited when I got the e-mail asking me to join the LOTV DT collective; I didn't realise at that point how stressed I would be making cards for them! I got myself into such a pickle. I coloured up the image to match some beautiful papers I KNEW were in my craft box only to find, when I'd finished the colouring, that those papers were long gone. Doh! Anyhoo, on the bright side it matched these Maja Design Vintage Summer Basics 1922 (Which I had been saving because they were too lovely to use!).
I thought these were bluebells but the name of the stamp is 'Fogloves' so I guess they're not ;-) I even hand stitched the papers.
We seem to have spent the Easter weekend visiting parks and doing Easter Egg hunts :-) Much fun was had by all but as I'm on a diet no chocolate was had by me.

I want to say a big thank you to a crafty friend who calmed my cardmaking nerves and politely encouraged me to get a grip! Sending hugs, Jayne xxx

Stitch it at Bellarific Fridays!

I like Fridays; it's the end of the week and I get to play along at Stampingbella's 'Bellarific Fridays' challenge. This week we had to incorporate stitching into out card. This card was a bit of a rush job - in-laws coming, house a mess = panic stations!! I had coloured up this image last week but obviously it was done with no thought as to what papers I'd use as I couldn't find any to match. Thank goodness for NitWit Collections!!! These papers are from the Ladies and Gentlemen Collection.
The stamp is Opal the Optimist and she's my new favourite :-)
I apologise again for not visiting as many blogs as I'd hoped. I really hope my health starts to improve soon - it gets you down after a bit! I'm sending hugs to everyone, especially those in need. Hugs, Jayne xxx

Oriental Delight!

As soon as I saw these papers in my local craft shop I knew I had to have 'em!! Yum scrum :-) They are from Kaisercraft's Cherry Blossom collection and are super pretty! I thought that they were perfect to use with the LOTV 'Aimi with lantern' stamp.
I have used WOC flowers and dragonfly/butterfly dies from Joanna Sheen. I still haven't managed to get hold of nice lace so I'm scrabbling about my ribbon box for scraps!
Hope that you had a great weekend. Sending hugs, Jayne xx

Baby Boy

This is a 7"x7" card, bigger than I usually use but I think it looks ok. (?) The image is from LOTV and is just sooo lovely. I bought it from  Create and Craft - it was part of a set of clear stamps and they are all yummy :)  The papers are 'Cottage Charm' from NitWit Collections. All really muted shades of blue, just lovely.
Apologies for using the Sue Wilson bow die again - I'm certainly getting value for money!!

I've just helped my daughter make a Father's Day card for her Dad. I'll try and get a photo, she's done a great job :-)

Celebrate - a Little Bit Crafty mid-way reminder

Super quick post with a really terrible photo - v sorry! The papers are beautiful - the camera has made them look a really funny shade. They are beautiful shades of pinks and lilacs! Honest!! They are from the Possibilities range over at Nitwit Collections.
This is one of my new LOTV stamps :D Did I confess to buying the six on my wishlist and a set of four from Create and Craft? I'm on a stash diet now as am saving for our summer hols :) Restraint is my middle name.

Cards inspired by a Song over at the Crafty Little Fairies!

So this week over at the Crafty Little Fairies we are asking that you make a card inspired by a song. Easy peasy :D I've gone for 'Angel' by Aerosmith.
This is one of my favourite LOTV stamps - isn't she just delish?
I've used the Holiday Bouquet paper collection from NitWit Collections as the soft pinks and greens are just perfect for that subtle hint of colour. I've used the Spellbinders build a snowflake three die set along with a die-namics flourish but otherwise have kept it really simple (for me!).

This week we are sponsored by Iva Nova Chest and the Ribbon Girl - how cool is that? What more incentive do you need to enter? Looking forward to seeing all the entries this week :D

I'm back tomorrow with a Little Bit Crafty mid-way reminder using the brand new NitWit collection 'Hootie Holidays' - which is more yummy pinks and greens.

Hope you are doing well and having a great week. Biggest of hugs, Jayne xx

For the One you Love over at Crafty Little Fairies!

Isn't it great when you can put all your absolute favourite things all on one card? I really enjoyed making this one - and I was dreading it because I wasn't too sure about the theme! I am just loving these pretty, delicate papers from the Romance and Roses collection over at NitWits and the fresh spring colours really suit this stamp. The image is 'Love Grows' from LOTV and I coloured it with copics. I've used my well loved Go Kreate XXL Frilly Frames No 10 die as I just love the shape - I'm after the XXL Frilly Frames No 6 set and am hoping that it somehow makes its way into my Christmas stocking!!!

I hope that you get the chance to play along with us this week, we're sponsored by the fabulous ladies over at Dreamees so it's well worth joining us to get the chance to win a Dreamees voucher. We had a huge number of entries last week and they were all stunning. We're really very grateful for all your support since we changed the blog - Squirrel has done the most amazing job at organizing everything :D  The DT call is still on this week so put DT after your entry if you want to join us!

I'm back tomorrow with an A Little Bit Crafty DT card using a super cute Pink Gem digi teamed with papers from the Merry and Bright collection at NitWit. It's such a hard life ;D Alas, I have to go and make a start on a mountain of ironing that must rival Everest in height. Hugs, Jayne xx

Christmas in October over at Crafty Little Fairies.

Apologies that this is the quickest post ever. I'm writing this on Wednesday evening and I'm absolutely shattered and moments away from hitting the sack!

This week over at the Crafty Little Fairies it's Christmas in October. I had such fun heaping on the embellishments - I only stopped when there was no more room left on the card!! Joy :D

We have 3 sponsors this week :D So get entering - how fab are these sponsors?

Pretty In Pink over at the Crafty Little Fairies!

Ok, so the Crafty Little Fairies have moved blog address and we can now be found here This week our challenge is easy peasy - 'Pretty in Pink'. Do you remember the film? Oooh it had the yummy Andrew McCarthy in it - that takes me back! Anyhoo, a pink card it is then. In my case a very pink card and some exciting news! I've been asked to join the Nitwits Collection DT. Yep, I've been doing a happy dance ever since I got the news!! Super big thank you to lovely Paula Holifield who put my name forward ;D

.
I've used lots of totally scrumptious papers from the Nitwits 'Fine Linen' Collection. Well, how could I choose just one papers from a collection that lush? The flowers are also from the collection - I resized them (ooh get me, vaguely knowing how to do that!) and layered them up. This is such a pretty collection of papers and perfect for this challenge.

Ok, I'm off to try and work out how to upload the photo to the Nitwits gallery. I may be some time.

I hope you get chance to join us over at the Fairy Challenge Blog - we're sponsored this week by:

A Little Bit Shabby over at A Little Bit Crafty!

Over at A Little Bit Crafty this month we've gone all 'shabby chic'! We're sponsored by the fabby Octopode Factory and Hobbyctz :)

  £7.50 voucher

I used this beautiful stamped image from Lili Of the Valley - it's one of my favourites and perfect for a bit of shabby chic! The papers are Papermania 'At Christmas' by Lucy Cromwell - they're all yummy!
The card is an easel card but the picture is a bit rubbish!
I hope that you're able to join us this month!

Isis is now eight weeks old and had her first round of vaccinations yesterday - how time flies. Today we have a hospital appointment with Indigo - it's all go!!

Birthday cards with a number on at Crafty Little Fairies!

Super quick post today - it's stay and play at school this morning and I'm way late :(

Today over at the Crafty Little Fairies we would like to see birthday cards with a number on - mine has a number one that you can barely see!

Apologies for the photo - I will get my act together - just as soon as Isis starts sleeping!!

All About the Boys on Lili's Little Fairies and it's a girl!!!!!

I realised that I hadn't got around to saying that the bump was born on August 5th and to much relief it's a girl! Indigo is thrilled to be a big sister and I am thrilled to no longer be pregnant! We've named the baby Isis - although at the moment all she's getting is her sister's name!  We're all doing well and over-doing it on a daily basis - it's all good :)

Over at Lili's Little Fairies it's all about the boys. I made this a while ago, which is a super good job 'cos I've got nothing done in the last two weeks!

The papers are We R Memory Keepers 'Travel Light' which were a freebie with a magazine. The image and sentiments are from LOTV .
The prize up for grabs this week is a two week GDT slot. I hope that you get chance to visit the Dt's blogs - all totally fabulous :)

Big hugs, Jayne xx

Embossing challenge over at the Joanna Sheen Challenge Blog

Over at the Joanna Sheen Challenge Blog this fortnight we are hosting an embossing challenge. We would like to see projects using dry or heat embossing and if you use a Joanna Sheen image you will be entered into a random draw to win a £15 Joanna Sheen voucher.

Huge apologies for the pants photo!

This super cute image is taken from the House Mouse Triple CD ROM which can be found at the Joanna Sheen on-line shop HERE. I also used the Die'sire embossalicious 8"x 8"embossing folders 'Regency Swirls' and 'Grande Dots' which can be found HERE. The poinsettia is from Sizzix, the Tim Holtz Tattered Poinsettia die - yum scrum!

I hope that you get the chance to play along with this challenge - I think it's the first time I've made a card without using design papers and it was great to use my much under-used embossing folders! Big hugs, Jayne xx

Seeing Double over at Lili's Little Fairies

What is with this weather? The sun is now shining but it's blowing an absolute gale. I cut short my power walk in fear of being blown away! Still, I've managed to get some colouring done and I managed to salvage my washing from my  'accidentally putting a new blue tee shirt in with my white load' disaster :)

Today over at the Fairies we would like you to use a LOTV image that consists of two people/animals/animal and person. Couldn't be simpler! As an added bonus we are sponsored by Stamposaurus and have two gorgeous stamps to give away :)

I was about to sign off and remembered that I hadn't actually posted a pic of my card - blimey, I'm all kinds of nuts at the moment!!!!
I used the totally scrummy Gabrielle Collection papers from Bo Bunny on this one; I really love this green colour. The sentiment and image are both LOTV. I've used a little Melissa Frances corner; they were half price at my local craft shop and therefore impossible to resist :) I coloured with copics; my distress marker colouring is not improving and I'm on the verge of giving it up as a bad job!!

The good news is that I managed to transfer two albums to my ipod; the bad news is I haven't got a clue HOW I did it! Back to the drawing board.

Hope you're having a great week. Thank you for stopping by, hugs, Jayne xx

All Stitched up at Lili's Little fairies!

Well, this one took me forever!! I'm not really sure how to pull off the faux stitching look successfully so I decided, in my wisdom, to get my piercing ruler, prick holes all around the edge of the paper and then hand sew. Ha! What a crazy woman!! Anyhoo, t'is done and I'm in no hurry to try it again!
I've used my new dangly heart dies from Memory Box - just how cute are they? I'm trying to cut down on my purchases but every time I visit Lorraine's blog I see a beautiful card with some new scrumptious die on it and I'm sunk! Mrs B, you are very bad for my poor bank balance!!
The papers are Melissa Frances 'C'est La Vie'; the whole pad is filled with scrummy papers :D  The image and sentiment are both LOTV and the flowers are from WOC.

So, this week we'd like to see you use an LOTV image and either real or faux stitching on your card. Simple :D

You may need to sit down for this news. I, chronic over-embellisher that I am,  came top three in the CAS Without Words Easter challenge! I don't even care if I got the sympathy vote - I was over the moon!!

Carrying on with the good news; I am now over half way through this pregnancy! I'm really not a natural and am in no way glowing. I still look decidedly green and my body resembles a mish mash of jabba the hut, Kim Kardashian and Dolly Parton. It so is not pretty. If it's a boy, my daughter wants to call him Dappy Duck.  I think I may have my work cut out :D

Thank you for visiying me, it makes my day. Big hugs, Jayne xx

Buttons and Bows over at Lili's Little Fairies

A nice easy challenge this week! All we want to see is a card made using an LOTV image with a button and bow thrown on for good measure :)
I think perhaps the meece LOTV stamps are my favourite of all; I can't explain why, they just have such a happy feel to them. I think I was suffering form embellishment withdrawal symptoms after making the two CAS cards and I went merrily mad with embellies on this one! Nothing makes me happier than heaping gorgeous embellies on a card :D The papers are bits of a Forever Friends pad that I've had for years. The image and sentiment are LOTV and the flowers are WOC.
Hmm, muslin, lace, ribbon, a button, a doily, a frame and a zillion flowers; I'm not even sure this one will stand up!!! I hope that you get a chance to join us this week, and don't forget we have a DT call on at the mo, Big hugs, Jayne xx

Up,up and away!

This is the card I've managed to make this week. It's been a bit crazy. So, I got the Chronology papers back out as I thought the balloon paper was perfect with this image :)

This is an LOTV stamp that actually belongs to my daughter but I've 'borrowed' it! The fabulous balloons are a new release from Dreamees and are a steal at £3-00! Dreamees Hayley also has a youtube video showing you how to make flowers from the balloons! It's genius and I've used the idea on my second 'Little Bit Crafty' challenge blog card which I'll post on April 15th.

I'll be back tomorrow with a CAS Easter card. It's only CAS because I'm sending it in the post and I'm being tight!!!! Big hugs, Jayne xx
