Penélope Luz Dracarys & Fire and Dragon Nail Art

Yes, you read it right! Dracarys from Game of Thrones was the inspiration for this polish by the indie brand maker Penélope Luz :) I planned to use it in the last Games of Thrones episode from this latest season... but it didn't happen so here we are :p This weeks ANS challenge theme is my favorite hobby... altough nail art is my absolute favorite one, watching series is also another I very much enjoy :D So PL Dracarys suits the theme very well :p

A personagem Dracarys de Game of Thrones foi a inspiração para o nome deste verniz da Penélope Luz :p Queria tê-lo no último episódio da última season, mas saiu-me o tiro pela culatra hehe. Decidi usar o PL Dracarys porque adequa-se ao desafio desta semana do grupo ANS; o tema é o "meu passatempo favorito". Claro que este é nail art, mas ver séries é dos meus passatempos preferidos também :p

PL Dracarys polish overall reminds me of fire, hence the nail art :p It has multi sized orange glitters and a fine golden one in a translucid base. It can be layered over another polish for best results. I chose OPI My Vampire is Buff. The brush comes with a lot of glitter therefore two coats is enough to give the result you see in pictures :) I advise you to use top coat to smooth all the glitters. For the nail art, I used the saran wrap technique for the blazing fire in the middle nail and then stamped the dragon from Messy Mansion 05 plate on top; on the ring nail I stamped the fire design from DRK-B plate and then colored using the leadlight technique. It doesn't look as good as the middle finger fire, but it is difficult to get the same opaque finish when using jelly polishes.

No geral, o verniz PL Dracarys lembra-me fogo e sem esquecer a alusão à Dracarys, nasceu esta nail art :) É constituido por glitter fininho dourado e laranja com vários tamanhos. Como tem uma base translúcida, fica melhor quando aplicado sobre outro verniz. Escolhi o OPI My Vampire is Buff. Vem bastante gltter no pincel, de modo que duas camadas foi o que precisei para o resultado das fotos :) Relativamente à nail art, no dedo do meio usei a técnica lembrando fogo e carimbei o dragão da placa Messy Mansion 05; no dedo anelar carimbei a fogueira da placa DRK-B e preenchi o desenho com a técnica leadlight. Claro que a fogueira não ficou tão boa quanto o fogo, mas isso é porque usei cores jelly

Cult Nails Evolution & Cupcakes Gradient Nail Art

Cupcakes anyone? Wherever you are, it's always time for cupcakes! lol I have peach and lime ones for you today hahaha. This is a nail art I did last week, my idea was to have something fresh and sweet in my nails at the same time ;)

Alguém quer cupcakes? Tenho de lima e de pêssego para distribuir hoje xD Sejamos sinceros... qualquer hora é boa para comer cupcakes, certo?? :p Fiz esta nail art na semana passada e o objectivo era ter algo fresco e doce ao mesmo tempo nas unhas :)

The fresh part comes from the background gradient. I did it with a white polish, the green Ruby Wing Rodeo and the Peach Cult Nails Evolution. My boyfriend pointed out my nails draw too much attention but I didn't care, it was on my nails not him hahaha! Cult Nails Evolution is the last polish from the New Day collection I had to wear. It is a sheer pretty peach polish that dries relatively fast. It is opaque in three coats. I'd say the formula of Evolution lies between the awesome Cult Nails Falling Hard and the difficult Cult Nails New Day (both from the same collection).

A parte fresca vem do gradiente de fundo. Usei um verniz branco (penso que da Cliché), o verde Ruby Wing Rodeo e o pêssego Cult Nails Evolution. Aqui o Homem da casa achou que chamei demasiada atenção com estas unhas... mas eu não quis saber, eram as minhas unhas e não a pessoa dele xD. O verniz Cult Nails Evolution é o último que tinha para usar da colecção New Day (e já agora da marca lol). Diria que formula deste verniz situa-se algo entre a espectacular do Cult Nails Falling Hard e a difícil de usar do Cult Nails New Day (vernizes da mesma colecção). O Evolution cobre as unhas com três camadas e a formula é algo aguada, mas fácil de usar e seca relativamente rápido.

Now the sweet part comes from the cupcakes design from DRK-B plate :) You can honestly stamp anything you like over this... the base is super versatile in my opinion :) I loved it so much!! Hope you did too ^^ Kisses and see you tomorrow :)

A parte doce desta nail art vem do desenho de cupcakes da placa DRK-B :) Sinceramente, podem carimbar o que vos apetecer sobre esta base porque é bastante versátil (por ex frutas, pranchas, flores, etc). Eu pessoalmente amei o resultado! :D Espero que vocês também, beijinhos :) Ahh uma nota final, para quem não sabe, a Cult Nails é uma marca indie americana.. aliás, é uma classe superior ao indie porque não são fabricados artesanalmente mas mantêm algumas das características da classe indie.

Andreia 64 & Double Stamping

This week, the theme challenge of Advanced Nail Stamping Group is double stamping. I'm so excited with this theme (plus don't have any more ideas to do this week lol) that I made two nail arts in a row :p However, I haven't photographed what's on my nails yet, so I'll leave you to my roses and barbed wire stamping :)

Esta semana, o tema do desafio do grupo Advanced Nail Stamping é carimbar duplamente. Gosto tanto do tema e como também não tenho nada planeado (a nível de nail art) para esta semana, já fiz duas manicures consecutivas :p Mas, ainda não fotografei o que tenho nas unhas, por isso deixo-vos com rosas e arame barbado :p

This sort of is a traditional set of stamps since the 3rd set of Bundle Monster was released, however I didn't use any images from that set. First, I started with two coats of Andreia 64, a Portuguese brand, This is a nude polish with hints of creme and yellow which is also a bit streaky and doesn't dry fast. After applying top coat, I stamped the barbed wire from DRK-B plate with Dashica Black and the roses from MoYou Pro 07 with Dashica Red polish. I reckon in real life it is difficult to notice both designs, hence I used a matte top coat (Mollon Pro Top Coat Matte).

Esta é uma combinação de carimbos algo tradicional desde que o 3º set da Bundle Monster saíu, no entanto não usei nenhum carimbo desse conjunto. Primeiro, comecei por pintar duas camadas do verniz Andreia 64. Comprei-o precisamente para usar no ex-trabalho. É um verniz nude creme com toque de amarelo, pouco pigmentado, seca devagar e arrasta um bocadinho. Serviu o seu propósito visto que a dada altura só podia usar manicure francesa (-.-'). Depois de aplicar top coat, carimbei o desenho de arame farpado da placa DRK-B e rosas da placa MoYou Pro 07 com os vernizes Dashica Black e Red, respectivamente. Na via real não se distingue muito bem as rosas do arame, por isso apliquei top coat matte (Mollon Pro Top Coat Matte) e ficou muito melhor :)

I love the result, there's a certain tattoo reminder here lol. Possibly it would look much better over white instead of nude polish. Also, my advice is for you to select a more separate image of roses to get a better result than mine and better show the barbed wire design :) How do you fancy this? Kisses :)

Gostei do resultado que me lembra uma tatuagem lol, mas há alguns pontos a melhorar no caso de vocês também tentarem este look. Penso que ficaria melhor sobre uma base branca em vez de nude (ponto discutívl eu sei) e, por outro lado, se escolherem uma imagem com rosas mais dispersas, o arame farpado notar-se-á melhor e ficará mais equilibrado na unha. H&M Blue My Mind

Hola guapas! :)

About time an awesome blue showed up here, right?? Yesss! This one really blued my mind! hahaha I really don't know why it took me so long to purchase... but here we go, H&M My Mind!

Já estava na hora de vos presentear com mais um belo azul, certo?? Sim! :) E este realmente deu-me a volta à cabeça devido ao belo e vibrante tom azul! Não sei porque demorei tanto a comprá-lo, mas enfim, ei-lo:

Run to your nearest H&M store and fetch your bottle, that is my advice! lol I don't have any dupes to such a gorgeous and vibrant blue (cof cof I don't even dare do compare haha). Formula wise, it is a bit weird and watery in the first coat but builds nicely with the second one. I loved the shine of H&M Blue My Mind too. This is a brand that has been growing up on me.. I think I will own every H&M blue! lol eventually :p

Um conselho: corram para a loja H&M mais próxima e consigam um exemplar deste belo azul! lol Possivelmente terei dupes da cor na minha colecção, mas nem me atrevo a comparar! xD A formula é aguada e estranha à primeira camada, mas com a segunda a cor constrói-se lindamente. Gostei do brilho. A H&M é uma marca que me tem conquistado aos poucos... pelo menos na área dos azuis! Comprei este H&M Blue My Mind numa promoção, sendo que normalmente ronda cerca de 4€.

Since I had no courage to do nail art in all my nails, I just painted the ring one on white and stamped the image design from DRK-B plate. Then I placed a few neon square studs from BPS and top coated everything with Poshé top coat. I loved the outcome and kept staring at it all the time! What about you?? Kisses,

Não tive coragem para fazer qualquer tipo de nail art e tapar este maravilhoso azul.. por isso brinquei só com o anelar. Carimbei o desenho geométrico da placa DRK-B sobre branco e adicionei studs neon quadrados (comprados na loja BPS). Adorei; e não parei de admirar o resultado final a toda a hora hahah ^^ E vocês? Kinetics KP 275 Blue Jasmine

In Exposcosmetics 2014 fair I had the chance to pick a Kinetics polish to review and selected Blue Jasmine* from the Spring/Summer Magnolia collection :) I purchased more polishes from this collection composed of 10 polishes but this is the first one to get to my nails.

Na Expocosmética tive a aoportunidade de rever um verniz Kinetics; seleccionei o Blue Jasmine* da mais recente colecção Primavera/Verão 2014 Magnolia. Comprei mais uns vernizes da mesma colecção, mas este foi o primeiro que estreei ;)

Kinetics Blue Jasmine has a soft lovely blue shade an a very sheer formula. I applied four coats to achieve full nail coverage. Almost all my Kinetics polishes are very pigmented, but this one seems to be an exception. It also stains cuticles a bit because the formula is runny. The shine remains beautiful as ever and so does the great brush :) I'm not sure about the drying time because I applied Kinetics Kwik Kote top coat soon after application.

O verniz Kinetics Blue Jasmine tem um tom azul delicado e uma formula bastante rala. Apliquei quatro camadas para cobrir as unhas. Parece ser a excepção à regra relativamente à pigmentação dos vernizes Kinetics. O verniz também escorre um pouco para as cutículas devido à sua formula aguada. O brilho e pincel fantástico permanecem idênticos :) Apliquei uma camada do top coat Kinetics Kwik Kote após aplicar o verniz.

Do not judge me... but soft cute colors always appeal to an equally cute nail art... So, flowers in pink it was! lol :p I divided the flower image from DRK-B plate over my middle nails and also created a polka dots patter in white. I'm not sure about the polka dots though; The stamping polish was Mundo de Uñas Soft Pink.

Agora, não me julguem. Simplesmente não resisto a criar uma nail art fofinha com vernizes que me inspiram a tal lol :p Dividi a imagem da placa DRK-B pelas unhas do meio e nas pontas fiz um padrão polka dots. No entanto, não fiquei muito certa em relação a este último elemento. O verniz de carimbo rosa foi o Mundo de Uñas Rosa Claro.

Kinetics Blue Jasmine is clearly a cute shade and funny enough, I don't own a similar blue! How is that possible?? lol Anyhow, I wished it was more pigmentated because fou coats it's tiring (unless you prefer a sheer look). check the links below where you can purchase Kinetics polishes :) Kisses,

Sem dúvida que este Kinetics Blue Jasmine é um azul muito fofo e curiosamente, não tenho tom igual/similar na colecção (como é que é possível??). Hehe. Mas, desejava que fosse mais pigmentado por quatro camadas é dose (a não ser que prefiram o look mais ralo). Podem adquirir os vernizes Kinetics seguindo os links abaixo :) Beijinhos,

Sunday Stamping Challenge: Butterflies, Ladybugs & Fireflies

Hope you're enjoying a very nice Sunday, wherever you are ;) The theme of today AIS stamping challenge is to stamp with Butterflies, Ladybugs of Fireflies. I was going to play with ladybugs... but I was so lazy that I switched to butterflies :p

Como vai o vosso Domingo? Já foram votar? ;) O tema do desafio de hoje do grupo AIS é carimbar com Borboletas, Joaninhas ou Pirilampos. Eu pretendia brincar com joaninhas mas como estava preguiçosa... optei pelas borboletas :p

This is not the first time I try the leadlight stamping technique, but it is the first time I show you :) If you don't know what leadlight stamping is, it was created by Julia (Messy Mansion owner) and you can see her video in youtube. I started with my base polishes: three coats of Missp 12 Hope and thee coats as well of Yes Love Neon Glitter G1-2 polish. Yes Love G1-2 has a little thick formula and I'm not fond of the brush, however I do love this white jelly base filled with neon glitters! Gorgeous! :D Over Missp Hope (which I'll talk about in another day) I stamped the butterflies pattern from DRK-B plate and then colored with China Glaze Escaping Reality, Capricho Red Carpet and Purple Professional 66. 

Esta é a primeira vez que vos mostro uma manicure com a técnica leadlight, apesar de não ser a primeira vez que a aplico. Para quem não sabe o que é, é uma técnica inventada pela Julia (dona da Messy Mansion) que utiliza vernizes jelly; podem ver o seu tutorial no youtube. A minha base são três camadas do verniz Missp 12 Hope e três camadas do verniz Yes Love Neon Glitter G1-2. A formula deste Yes Love é um pouco espessa e não apreciei muito o pincel (porque é difícil fazer o contorno da cutícula), mas adoro a multitude de glitters neon de várias cores na base branca *-* Lindo! Carimbei as borboletas da placa DRK-B sobre o Missp Hope e de seguida colori com os vernizes China Glaze Escaping Reality, Capricho Red Carpet e Purple Professional 66.

Due to the glitters texture, you really need to apply top coat over Yes Love G1-2 or else the result isn't pretty. I have three coats of Poshé :p This polish costs 1€ around here... perfect! :p Hope you have a very nice weekend, kisses :)

Estes glitters neon da Yes Love não ficam com uma textura nada bonita se não aplicarem top coat chicas. Estou a usar três camadas de Poshé para ficar glossy como eu gosto :) O Yes Love G1-2 e todos os restantes 11 irmãos podem ser encontrados por cerca de 1€ nalgumas lojas chiquenesas. Cliché Madrugada

Looking at my unpublished files I decided it was time to post this manicure. I did it for an AIS stamping challenge where the theme was using purple. I didn't post them at the time because I considered it to be a fail manicure. But now... I'm not sure lol. I remembered I wanted to see more of the lilac base back then but now I like it... go figure O.o

Estava aqui a navegar pelo ficheiro com manicures ainda não publicados e decidi que estava na altura de vos mostrar esta. Fi-la para o desafio do gupo AIS cujo tema era tons de roxo. Não postei na altura porque não gostei e considerei um falhanço... mas agora já não tenho a certeza lol. Lembro-me perfeitamente que queria ver mais da base lilás... e eis que agora gosto.. vá-se lá perceber O.o

The lilac base is Cliché Madrugada, a Portuguese brand. I love the shade! It can be considered a "common" color, but truth is that with a slight change of blue/purple pigment we have a wide selection of colors and I fall for each and everyone of them lol (guilty!). Plus, Cliché Madrugada also has a touch of grey that makes it so sweet :) About the nail art... I honestly don't remember which one is the purple polish that I used to stamp near the cuticles... :s The other two are Dashica Purple (middle color) and La Femme Lilás (near the tips of the nails). After stamping I mattified it with OPI Matte Top Coat... in an attempt to bring out the base color.

A base lilás é o verniz Cliché Madrugada. Adoro a cor, por isso não me escapou quando o vi na loja "chiquenesa" (só para ti Anita ^^). A cor pode-se considerar vulgar, mas com tantas e pequenas variações de roxo e azul, perco-me por todas! E o tom de cinza adicional só torna este Cliché Madrugada super fofinho! :) Relativamente à nail art, sinceramente já não me lembro qual o verniz que usei para carimba junto às cutículas... mas os outros dois foram o Dashica Purple (cor do meio) e La Femme Lilás (cor junto às extremidades das unhas). Numa tentativa de destacar a cor base, acabei por matificar tudo com o verniz OPI Matte Top Coat

What do you think? Like I mentioned, I like it more now than back then lol, Maybe it all depends on one's mood :p The stamping design belongs to DRK-B plate by the way. There's lots of designs in the DRK plates, so I still have lots to play with :D :D. Kiss, kiss,

O que acham? Como referi acima, gosto muito mais agora do que na altura lol; parece que tudo depende da disposição da pessoa no momento :p O desenho do carimbo pertence à placa DRK-B. Barry M Gelly Blackberry

Hola guapas! :)

One of my sisters came from UK to spend a few days here in Lisbon last weekend. I only regret not have been able to get more polishes for me through her because I'm in swap right now lol! Yes, I did enjoy her company hehe, but I also put Barry M Blackberry in my nails the same day muahahah!

No fim de semana passado uma das minhas irmãs esteve aqui em Lisboa :) Não a via há quase dois anos, pois ela está a trabalhar no Reino Unido. Só vos digo que arrependo-me de não ter comprado mais vernizes por intermédio dela, mas a verdade é que estou de momento numa troca lol. Sim, desfrutei da sua companhia, mas também coloquei este verniz nas unhas no mesmo dia muahahahah!

Barry M Blackberry is a gorgeous royal blue gelly polish *-* I LOVE the shade! Can't go wrong with it! I'm not a fan of gelly finishes... I don't really like (there are a few exceptions) to see my white nail line. But, I've read so many good things about this Gelly line of Barry M that I had to give it a shot. And, they also stamp! I was and am incredulous! Truth is that in formula, Blackberry is perfect. It applies in two coats, gorgeous shiny color and the formula is nice. I'm happy to spend my money :) I have no swatches of it alone because I was again with my sister and it was late :p I did the nail art as soon as I could. My choice of design in a damask one from DRK-B plate, stamped with Color Club Blue Heaven. Love it!

O verniz Barry M Blackberry tem um tom azul royal espectacular com acabamento gelly *-* AMEI a cor! É impossível não ficar bem! Na verdade, não gosto muito de vernizes com este acabamento (salvo algumas excepções) porque nota-se a parte branca da unha. Não foi o caso com este. Aliás, estou até encantada com a formula que requer duas camadas; tem um brilho espectacular e seca rápido. As várias reviews que li mostram que até carimba. Foi efectivamente dinheiro bem gasto :p Não fotografei o Barry M Blackberry sozinho porque era tarde e passei logo para a nail art enquanto tagarelava com a minha irmã lol. Escolhi o desenho de damasco da placa DRK-B e carimbei com o verniz Color Club Blue Heaven. Fiquei encantadíssima!! <3
