Summer Mermaid Nails

Hello everyone! :)

This Summer I did two mermaid nails manicures and I wanted to show them in a single post.

First we have my vacations nails from August ;) You see ILNP Interstellar, such a gorgeous duochrome blue with holographic glitter <3 In the finger I stamped the mermaid pattern with Bundle Moster BM XL209 plate.

The following mermaid nails have a gradient underneath made with FUN Lacquer Midnight Nocturne and Glitter Gal Lizard Belly. On top I stamped with DRK Magic Garden stamping plate in gold.

piCture pOlish Lakodom & Feather nail art

Hello everyone! :)

Today I have a trendy feather nail art so show you that I did a while ago :) I tend to post my nail arts a bit after I use them because well, there's editing and writting to do :p However, you can always follow me in snapchat (clockwisepolish) and check out what I'm doing 

Hoje vou mostrar-vos uma manicure que fiz há uns tempos com penas bem trendy. Costumo postar as minhas nail arts algum tempo depois de as fazer... Editar e escrever consome muito tempo. Mas podem sempre ver em tempo real o que faço no snapchat (clockwisepolish)! 

But first, let's talk about the base. piCture pOlish Lakodom is a gorgeous off white polish with silver holographic glitter. I love it because it looks super elegant in my skintone  I applied three coats and could still see the nail tips, hence it's a bit sheer - but rather sexy as well! I used Anny Quick Dry top coat over this nail art and I want to call your attention that I believe this top coat doesn't go well with piCture pOlish polishes. That's because for the second time (the first was with Cherish) the polish turned yellow (looked like it was burned) around 24h later. But only the polish since my nails were ok and normal.

Mas primeiro vamos debruçar-nos sobre o verniz base. O verniz escolhido foi o divo piCture pOlish Lakodom que é uma parceria entre a marca Australiana picture polish e a loja russa Lakodom. A cor é soberba! Um branco cru cheio de glitter holográfico prata . Mas tenho uma chamada de atenção a fazer: usei o top coat Anny Quick Dry. Notei tanto com o Lakodom como com o Cherish que este top coat queima o verniz; a manicure fica mesmo amarelo queimado mas não afecta em nada as unhas.

Abou the nail art, I tried something new to me :p I stamped the feathers from Bundle Monster BM XL-209 plate with DRK Nails Jumbo Jelly clear stamper and filled them with white. Afterwards I stamped with different colors the same design over the white and finished with black. I am in love! I should make a video instead of writting these description lol.

Quanot à nail art, experimentei algo novo :p Carimbei o desenho de penas da placa Bundle Monster BM XL 209 a branco e preenchi todo o seu interior. Depois carimbei por cima com o carimbo transparente DRK Nails Jumbo Jelly com várias cores e por fim com preto. Ficou espectacular e eu amei! :D Não acham que eu devia fazer videos em vez de escrever estas descrições? hehe

GL Nails Velvet Gel Polish Review

Hi guys! :) 

Today I bring you Velvet by GL Nails. This is the color tha closes my review of the first prt of the Butterfly Lovely gel polish collection. Afterwards we'll have neon shades. I like to think this first part if the transition from Winter to Spring given the colors ;)

Trago-vos hoje a minha review do verniz gel GL Nails Velvet. É a última cor da primeira parte da colecção Butterfly Lovely que vos mostro ;) As outras 4 cores são neons e hoje termino aquela parte que gosto de pensar ser a transição de cores de Inverno para a Primavera.

GL Nails Velvet is a lovely medium blue with hint of grey in the formula. It's not too bright because the grey mutes it down. In terms of formula, we can compare it to the others of the collection (except for GL Nails Baby). I applied GL Nails Velvet in three thin coats combined with GL Nails NutriOne base coat and One top coat. Dying time is 1 min in LED light (or 2 min under UV lamp).

O gel verniz GL Nails Velvet tem um tom azul médio com um toque de cinza na formula; é o suficiente para não ser uma cor viva e chamativa, mas sim discreta e elegante. Gostei! A formula é parecida a outras cores da colecção (à excepção do GL Nails Baby). Apliquei três camadas finas e catalisei cada camada durante 1 min na lâmpada LED (podem ser 2 mins sob a lâmpada UV). Combinei a aplicação com a base GL Nails NutriOne e finalizei com o top coat GL Nails One.

I used the following nail art almost a month ago and I remember it was raining. Don't ask me why, but truth is weather can influence our moods and that means nail art as well. I decided to do something simple. I stamped the flower pattern from Bundle Monster BM-XL 209 stamping plate with Mundo de Uñas Light Grey. Simplicity in it's glory ;)

Da mesma forma que o tempo e o ambiente à nossa volta nos influencia o estado de espírito, a verdade é que também influencia a nail art. Usei esta manicure há quase um mês e recordo-me que estava a chover, de modo que optei por algo simples na "onda do azul acinzentado".

Kiko Power Pro 20 Cyclamen

I have a quick nail art to show you today that I used a while ago. I had around 30 min to do something and I picked a mix n match nail art :p

Hoje quero partilhar convosco uma manicure que fiz em 30 min há uns dias atrás. Tinha pouco tempo... e optei por uma nail art mix n match (o que não recomendo porque pode demorar mais se não tiver bem pensada :p)

I started by applying Kiko Power Pro 20 Cyclamen. This is a lovely bordeaux creme polish, very pigmented, easy to apply and fast drying formula. I continue to be pleasantly surprised with the Kiko Power Pro line so far. In the ring finger I applied two coats of Cliché Rainha (silver texture finish) and stamped the geometric pattern from BM XL 205 plate using Color Alike B a Silver King stamping polish. 

Comecei por estrear o verniz Kiko Power Pro 20 Cyclamen. Estamos a falar de um bordeaux cremoso e sexy com suntom roxo (é verniz, não se enganem!). A formula Power Pro continua a deixar-me surpreendida porque a cobertura, pigmentação e tempo rápido de secagem são excelentes! (só falta ser frasco rectangular). No dedo mindinho apliquei duas camadas do verniz Cliché Rainha e carimbei o padrão geométrico da placa BM XL 205 com o verniz Colour Alike B a SIlver King. 

I was going to match magenta and purple, but instead decided to try silver. I don't regret it :p Do you like the color combination? Kisses,

Anny Top Selection

Hey guys!

I'm back after an absent week. My lovely, wonderful grandmother passed away last weekend and It's been a crazy, hard week :(. Anyway, today I just want to share a quick manicure with you that I did a while ago. 

 Estou de volta depois de uma semana em que estive ausente. A minha avó maravilhosa faleceu no fim de semana passada e tem sido uma semana arrasadora e difícil :( Mas bom, hoje trago-vos uma manicure razoavelmente simples que fiz há algum tempo atrás.

I bought Anny Top Selection a couple months ago in a promotion. Top Selection belongs to the Cashmere Winter 2016 collection and it has a velvet matte finish. I love the nude color, super elegant & sexy! I stamped it with the roses image from Bundle Monster BM XL 205 using DRK Nails Sangria and Marrom metálico polishes.

Comprei o verniz Anny Top Selection há uns meses atrás numa promoção da Loja Douglas (bem bom!). Este menino pertence à colecção Cashmere de Inverno 2016 e tem acabamento suede. O tom nude é lindo - discreto e elegante! Carimbei o padrão de rosas da placa BM XL 205 com os vernizes de carimbo DRK Sangria e Marrom Metálico.

Mollon Pro Extrême 27 Bright Pink Review

Hola chicas! :)

Alas, today I bring you the last polish I have to review from the Mollon Pro Extrême Fall collection :D The collection has six polishes, all with the 3-step gel polish finish with no need for UV/Led lamp. In the meantime, you can check the previous five polishes: 25 Powder Pink, 27 Red Carpet, 28 So in Lilac, 29 Aronia and 30 Aubergine.

E eis que hoje partilho convosco a minha opinião e review do último verniz que tenho da colecção de Outono Mollon Pro Extrême. A colecção tem seis cores com acabamento de verniz gel em 3 passos, sem necessidade de usar lâmpada LED/UV :D Entretanto, podem as outras 5 cores aqui: 25 Powder Pink, 27 Red Carpet, 28 So in Lilac, 29 Aronia e 30 Aubergine.

Mollon Pro Extrême 27 Bright Pink is the pink of the collection. There really is something bright in it, although the polish has a dark pink color. Can't explain myself properly! Anyway, the formula is amazing! Super glossy, easy to apply, fluid and very pigmented. I applied two coats, after applying Mollon Pro Extrême Basecoat and finishing with Mollon Pro Extrême Top Coat.

O verniz rosa desta colecção é o Mollon Pro Extrême 27 Bright Pink. Tem realmente um toque muito vibrante, apesar da cor em si até ser rosa escuro. Enfim, difícil de descrever! Seja como for, a formula é maravilhosa! É fluída, fácil de aplicar, brilha horrores, seca rápido e é pigmentada! Que mais se pode querer? Apliquei duas camadas depois da base Mollon Pro Extrême e finalizei com o top coat Mollon Pro Extrême.

Since Valentine's Day is coming, how about a nail art suggestion for that special day? Yeah! haha. For this nail art I started by creating stamping decals with the heart image from Bundle Monster BM XL 205 stamping plate, which is a collaboration plate with Magically Polished. I really like the design and am very pleased with the etching of the plate. In the other nails I stamped heart polka dots in the tip of the nail.

Que tal uma sugestão para o dia 14, visto que o Dia dos Namorados está mesmo aí à porta? eh eh :p. Para esta manicure, comecei por fazer adesivos de carimbo com o desenho de rosas dentro do coração da placa Bundle Monster BM XL 205. Gosto bastante do desenho e estou surpreendida pela positiva com a gravura desta placa (comparativamente aos primeiros sets) que é uma colaboração entre a Bundle Monster e a blogger Magically Polished. Depois carimbei polka dots corações do mesmo desenho como manicure francesa.

Purple Professional 121 Bridal Veil Review & Valentine's Day Nail Art

Hello sweeties :)

Today I bring you my first Valentine's day nail art as well as Purple Professional Bridal Veil nail polish review. Bridal Veil is part of the Royal Winter Ball Winter collection from which I have previously reviewed Purple Professional Royal Highness.

Hoje é dia de estrear uma nail art romântica adequada aos dia dos namorados por estes lados para inaugurar a data festiva! :p Aproveito também para rever o verniz Purple Professional Bridal Veil da colecção Royal Winter Ball de Inverno da marca. Anteriormente revi o verniz Purple Professional Royal Highness da mesma colecção.

This is a white polish with frost finish. I applied three coats to achieve full nail coverage. It dries with streaks due to the finish and the formula is a little thick, but manageable. I'm really not fond of either the color and finish, but I know some people do :) However, I noticed that applying top coat will take the streaks away and that made me fall in love with Bridal Veil.

Trata-se portanto de um verniz branco com acabamento frost. Apliquei três camadas para obter cobertura da unha. A formula é algo espessa, mas manuseável, e seca com estrias ao longo da unha devido ao acabamento. Não gostei especialmente deste verniz, contudo sei que há quem goste :) O que posso dizer é que apaixonei-me pela versão matte uma vez que nesta as estrias são eliminadas e o verniz fica mais suave. :)

I took out all my romantic/valentine's day appropriate nail art stuff out hehe. This was the first nail art that came to mind :) In the middle nails I stamped the romantic letter pattern from BM-311 plate and freehanded the letter with acrylic paint. In the other nails, I then stamped the hearts images from BM-317 plate with Dashica Purple and Dashica Lilac.

Tirei cá para fora todo o meu material de nail art minimamente relcionado com o dia dos namorados. Estamos a uma semana do dia e estou algo pouco inspirada hehe. Mas esta foi a primeira ideia que tive :) Comecei por carimbar as unhas do meio com o padrão de letras de amor da placa BM-311 e desenhei a carta com tinta acrílica. De seguida carimbei as restantes unhas com as imagens de corações das placas BM-317, utilizando para tal os vernizes Dashica Purple e Lilac para carimbar.

I really love the matte look :) But now i wonder how this love letter would look in a vintage base... what do you think? Kisses,

Kiss Under the Mistletoe Nail Art

Hey guys! :)

I have many stamping plates (not as much as some people out there... :p) and sometimes I like to go through them because I know I forget some awesome designs. One of them is this cute couple from MoYou Comic 05 plate. I decided this was the perfect time to use since I wanted to participate in the Pueen IG contest (you can still participate until tomorrow!).

Como devem calcular, tenho bastantas placas de carimbo (se bem que não tantas como certas pessoas :p) e de vez em quando, gosto de "corrê-las" e analisar os desenhos que me esqueci com o tempo. Um deles é este casal a beijar-se da placa MoYou Comics 05. Queria participar no concurso da Pueen (a decorrer no IG - ainda podem participar até amanhã!) e pensei que este desenho seria perfeito para combinar com azevinho!

So, the contest has a Festive theme... hence I "cropped" the couple out of it by doing a stamping decal. My idea was to have lots of mistletoes in my nails to really imply the kissing under the mistletoe tradition. I tried two versions but this was the most fetive. The red arch in the same finger is a stamping decal made of MoYou Festive 01 plate. The mistletoes are aso stamping decals from Bundle Monster BM-302 plate. Yep, lots of decals here hahah except for the index finger which is plain stamping from Gals GA-27 plate. The colors used were Color Club Harp On It, Colors by Llarowe The Mighty Red Baron and A England Dragon.

Julgo que cá em Portugal não damos muita atenção à tradição americana do beijo debaixo de azevinho (corrijam-me se estiver errada). Mas não deixa de ser engraçado :p Para esta nail art idealizei imensos azevinhos dispersos pelas unhas... na verdade não tenho lá muitos azevinhos nas placas (ohhh), de modo que tive de me adaptar. Aliás, fiz também duas nail arts porque a primeira não estava muito festiva como o concurso pede. O arco vermelho sobre o casal é um adesivo de cairmbo feito a partir da placa MoYou Festive 01; os azevinhos são também adesivos de carimbo da placa Bundle Monster BM-302. Usei muito a técnica de adesivo de carimbo hehe, com excepção do indicador que tem carimbo simples - árvores de Natal da placa Gals GA-27. Os vernizes usados foram o Color Club Harp On It, Colors by Llarowe The Mighty Red Baron e A England Dragon.

I loved the result! But I figured I should have done an ombre background just like I love... however I decided to go with holo to see what would come out. The full impact under the sun... gorgeous! What do you think? What improvements would you add? Kisses,

Amei o resultado! Mas cheguei à conclusão que devia ter feito um fundo com gradiente como gosto... mas optei por fundo holográfico para ver até onde conseguia ir hehe. Mas o impacto ao sal é... soberbo! <3 O que acham? Que melhorias sugerem? Beijinhos,
