Christ, the Lion of Judah

One who observes and thinks about what has been seen, what has passed by my way, what greater meaning lies behind and beneath life's small events.

If you were 2.5 or 3 years old, would your parent give you directions, send you off to run a few kilometers to your destinations? Hell, no. Japanese parents assign children to do dismal work? Ready? Set? Go?
It is difficult to describe.
" It doesn't always go smoothly. They run into the occasional accidents. Every time they nearly fail, I find myself tearing up and desperately hoping they can overcome.
When they do
conquer the errand, I feel the deepest sense of pride I have ever known
in my years of life, an emotion I imagine only parents are normally
privy to. Usually, this is also when my tears that had been building up
for the length of the episode will actually cascade over in pure joy." One Enough
"Of course, like anything on the internet, we can't just be happy about this beautiful baby show. Some viewers were also quick to point out how this could only be possible in Japan, a country we here in the West perceive to be so much safer and designed with such better city infrastructure that these wee tots can toddle to the supermarket unsupervised"
Just a note: The families are part of their community. Families watch them by the sidewalk, help them, laugh. There is nothing I could compose to capture this amazing tantalizing accuracy. In other words, there is no way I could take this on.
But, you know what, that's not what Old Enough! is here for — at least, that's what I'm choosing to believe. The show isn't supposed to make us reckon with how much better and safer Japan might be. It's here to spotlight some really stinkin' cute kiddos walking around in squeaky shoes while doing some mundane errands and making my entire freaking day. So please, forget about whatever work you may be doing and go watch this show, now made extra bingeable by Netflix's global platform."
Pinky promise, I won't tell your boss.

The teachers shivered as they watched the recess horde which never ever ended. It’s death or life, lies or truth. It's them or us. Their eyes glazed around the mob, knowing that some opportunity could lead to havoc.
Like the crack of a jump rope, a type of sizzling chemistry suddenly burst around them, exploding loose. Screw philosophy and fact. Forget about instruction, all the facts from teacher education. Clothes? Who needs them when all hell breaks loose?
Somewhere,
there is an agency, somewhere that will set the playground in order. Over
near the swings there would be a huddled group of people, clutching boxes of books,
reading as if their lives depending on it. The agency will know how to help
them all. Soon.
I wouldn’t count on help coming anytime soon.
This meme was started by Delores a long time ago. Troubles led her to bow out, but the meme was too much fun to let go, and now Words for Wednesday is provided by a number of people and has become a movable feast. With Elephant's Child and other blogger volunteers, Mother Owl's we will find the challenges. Underlined words are some of the words available.
The
aim of the words is to encourage us to write. A story, a poem, whatever
comes to mind. My difficulty is using words that were just released.
Grant me some forgiveness, greatness cannot be hurried.

I am well versed in recess duty. There is no joy in that place.
I want to visit St. Mary's Mead for a while, maybe even more.
I would like to be one of the villagers who assist Miss Marple, in some very minor way. I'd like to meet her for tea and scones, learning of details following the librarian's sudden death. I want to know about the frog leaping from the grandfather's clock and scaring the teacher; thus, Miss Marple knows the answer to a mystery where the frog has some meaning.
Words rumble to tell
Of a Nation, a song sung and then
Whispered down a dark highway of history.
Like black keys on a piano,
Their role fades with age.
Keys are owners of music,
Silence is their warning.
