GARRETT'S BAND TRIP

(May 13-15) Garrett was excited for the band to compete at the Heritage Festival and go to Disneyland!  They left EARLY in the morning on a double decker bus :)
I received pictures throughout their trip from a friend and also from a group texting app.  Garrett made a goofy face in almost EVERY SINGLE PICTURE!!!  Ugh that kid!!
They celebrated Mr. Yanez's birthday!
Got this picture on the group text of Garrett in a hot tub with a bunch of girls... oh boy!
They had a blast at Disneyland and the band did awesome at the festival and earned a Superior with distinction!!  Good job!
The next day they went to the Santa Monica Pier and beach...
This crazy kids had a fun trip!

MORE FISHERMAN'S WHARF, SEA LIONS, GHIRARDELLI SQUARE,

(3/14) After our Alcatraz tour we explored more of Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39...
We stopped for lunch at In-N-Out...
... and took some silly selfies :)
The kids LOVED the sea lions...
After exploring for a while, Robert and the 3 younger kids went back to the hotel.  Madison and I wanted to explore some more.  Madison wanted to do some thrift shopping.  The closest thrift store I could find was a Goodwill a few miles away.  So we walked and walked...
On our way we stopped at Ghirardelli Square.  The line for ice cream was insane!  So we just checked out all the little shops and looked around the chocolate factory store...
Then we continued on our way.  We got to Goodwill to find out that it was only a donation center, not a store.  Boo!!  That was a long walk for nothing!
But it was a fun walk.  Lot's of things to see.  For fun, we walked up Hyde street as far as we could until our legs were jello. It's really steep so was a good work out :)
View of the Golden Gate bridge on our walk back to the hotel...
After that Robert and I left the kids at the hotel and walked to a pizza place to get them dinner.  We dropped it off at the hotel and went on a date night.  We just walked around and then ate at a restaurant called Cioppino's.  We ordered the Cioppino.  It was a seafood stew and it was sooooo GOOD.  We both ate crab legs for the first time :)  Fun night!
