Hooray For You card

My 7 year old great granddaughter had 2 abscessed teeth pulled earlier this week.  Ouch!  Her mother told me she was so brave, going back into the dentist's office with only the nurse, while her mother remained in the waiting room due to Covid precautions.

Tuesday I visited Violette's in Lakeland and was able to find this fun piece of paper to make Laila a card.

I found the slim line dies by LDRS Creative at Violette's, too.

The curvy die and Hooray for You sentiment are from SU.

The slimline card base and envelope and the stamps inside the little window are from CTMH.

Challenges:

As You Like It Challenge - Favorite way to cut your image ( I enjoy fussy cutting my image.  The popped purple tooth fairy on this card was fussy cut from the patterned paper I used.  I find fussy cutting relaxing.)

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - A Bit O Green

Cuttlebug Mania Challenge - Use Green (I used the cuttlebug for all the die cutting.)

Through the Craft Room Door Challenge March 9th - AG

Simon Says Monday Challenge - Use something Green

While I'm posting, here's a birthday card for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge,

using a MFT sentiment die and a MFT stamp and matching die.

Corrections

Yesterday I posted 2 cards I had made for my son,
and still hadn't decided which I would give him.
I finally decided to give him the owl card.
Unfortunately, when I opened the card to add a sentiment, there were smudges on the inside and an ink spot on the back.
It never pays to hurry.
I did some cutting and gluing and added a few things until I thought it worthy of Dr. Rob.

I had submitted the original card to Color Dare Challenge #200, and hadn't read the rules closely enough.  That little owl stamped on kraft paper was a no no.  The challenge was an all and only color challenge.  So today I've made another card using Colonial White, Ruby and Sapphire only.

I got to use some of the ribbon I received in the mail yesterday from DL.Art.  I got the patriotic colors bundle and the red was a perfect match (even if it doesn't look that way in the photo!).
I'm giving away a gift certificate to DL.Art as part of the Tuesday Throwdown 300th Post Celebration and Blog Hop, so you might want to scroll down a few posts to check it out!

(using stamps from the CTMH For Always Card Making Workshop)

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Color Dare Challenge #200 - Ruby, Sapphire and Colonial White
Polkadoodles Challenge #26 - Add ribbon or twine

After baking about 20 dozen cookies for Dr. Rob's party yesterday, you'd think I'd be done baking for a while.
Not so.
Check out the blueberry cream pie cooling on the counter.  Yum!

Have a wonderful week-end.
Come again!

Bugaboo Bird

Catch the Bug has a photo inspiration challenge this week that sent me in search of a bird.  I sized, I printed x3, I fussy cut, I paper pieced, and I planned to let the finished image sit and maybe use it on my Mojo Monday card tomorrow, depending on the sketch.  Needless to say, it didn't sit very long before I had it glued to this card:
Papers and sentiment stamp used are from CTMH; scalloped circles are cricut cuts from the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge; stitched circle die is from La La Land; and I used my Craft-Dee Bowz Maker for the yellow sheer double bow.

Today I am entering these challenges:

613 Avenue Create Challenge #178 - Anything Goes with an anything goes twist
One Stitch at a Time Challenge #263 - Stitching, real or faux (stitched circle)
Just Add Ink Challenge #313 -  'B'   (Bird)
