More Double Trouble - Pinch Proof

The new challenge at Double Trouble was, indeed, a challenge for me.

We are snowbirds and I travel with only a small stash of card making supplies.  And because I am always an overachiever and want to make all the Troubles happy, I needed to think out of the box for

Challenge #186 3-2-1 Recipe "Pinch Proof"

 https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-68jVYZI-FAs6lHmz6Qz0w-KyPu_5Zej3EkmnbnKuGl2w6DLN83WHtMDxCre00JcnphuYSDhhmAlNL6qS7k7gU862skmeLSC0JKdCCU5d1A3hqIHKWNwXVsg8ws47agwWiKJgcQnca4OR7z4CL6pKx4f8mVviDlHSjEMoU-GQcnNVMk0ECtC8D9CIR4x9/s570/Thing%201%20186%20Kitchen%20Ingredients%20copy.jpg

Thing #1's recipe posed my first problem.  I have no stencils here.  Using some dies I made two of my own, one a row of triangles and the other scattered leaves.

Using the sketch from Try a Sketch on Tuesday Challenge #665, Thing #2's  request, was easy.

But Thing #3's idea to use shamrocks was almost a deal, or should I say challenge, breaker!  And then I had an epiphany and was able to comply.  Can you find my 3 shamrocks?

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog.

Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge #745

Welcome to my blog, where I have
a new card to share with you each week for

 Tuesday Morning Sketches
The sketch for this week is another great one to use paper scraps.

That's what I did.

The card above is actually my second effort.  I started another card and then the idea I had had didn't quite work.  But eventually I went back to it and I'm happy with the result.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog.

Send A Smile 4 Kids February 2023 Challenge #234

The theme for the February Challenge at

Follow SAS4Kids on Facebook!
is
Easter/Spring Cards 4 Kids.

Anything Goes for kids is always acceptable, too.
We just want to see your wonderful creations
and hope you enjoy making and sharing them!

Here's a set of cards I made for the February Challenge.

When I opened the box of Spring/Easter stuff  in my stash, I came across these 3 apertures from die cutting bunnies for previous cards.   They were perfect for a bit of Iris Folding.

Here's another fun card I created from the scraps in that box.

It would be great if you joined the fun at the
February Challenge.

Just for Fun

Today I decided to make some cards just for fun rather than for one of the design teams for whom I usually make my cards.

In your house, who is generally assigned the task of hiding the Easter eggs for the kiddos to find?  Our Easter bunny has changed over the years.  First my DH did the hiding for our kids.  Then when our first granddaughter arrived my son, who was still living at home, did the honors.  After he married and had a home of his own, I've hidden the Easter eggs.  Now the grandsons are grown and they hide the eggs for the next generation, my great granddaughters.  They also help them find them, which is wonderful.  Half the time I can't find the glasses on my face.

(That reminds me, I have wash in the dryer to fold.  It'll wait.)

You may be wondering why I am sharing our family Easter bunny history.  Gerda Steiner is having an online Easter Egg Hunt.  Participants make something using a GS design, download and use the special watermark and hide it for the GS design team to find.

I thought it would be fun.

Here's the card I made:

I'm also going to post it on the SYD March Challenge on the Gerda Steiner blog and on the facebook page.  You can also post whatever you make on instagram, but that's out of my league.

I also entering these challenges:

My Time to Craft Challenge #477 - Animals

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Use Your Favorite Things   (I printed my bunny on printable glitter paper.  It is awesome when printing digis.  No glitter in your printer!  And you can find it in the stationary section at Wal-Mart.)

Tuesday Morning Sketches #593

Welcome to my blog, where I have
a new card
to share with you each week for
Tuesday Morning Sketches

To start the year off, everyone on the TMS Design Team has chosen their favorite sketch from last year.
This was Tammy's favorite sketch.

All the cute papers are from an Echo Park Paper Pad I picked up last year.
The lightly watercolored bunny image is a stamp by Art Gone Wild.

I hope you'll have time to play along at

this week.
The Design Team would love it if you'd visit our blogs.

Easter Handbag

Today, while my DH played 9 holes of golf, I played with a handbag die set a friend loaned me.
These will be perfect gift bags with a bit of Easter grass, a few chocolates, and a gift card.
The little chick with banner is a stamp with matching die  from CTMH, which I colored with watercolor pencils.  I also die cut a piece of craft foam to mount them on.  It gives the image a lot more stability than pop dots, especially those skinny legs and feet.

Easter Card & CTMH Class 3/20/2018

Here is what we worked on at Joyce's CTMH card class on Tuesday.
Bear in mind, that it started to snow shortly after class started.  Consequently, we worked at breakneck speed so we could be on our way before the roads got treacherous.
(Yeah, I stamped the Happy Easter crooked.)

The flip side of the paper is pink, which everyone else used.  This will go to SAS4Kids and they always need cards for boys.

To save time, this side step card came home in pieces.  I colored and assembled it here.

**************

Isn't this a darling bunny image?
It's so sweet I wanted it to have center stage on the card.

Quilting today

Three weeks ago we went into Eustis to visit the My Favorite Things store.  I purchased a quilt square die, something that had been on my wish list for a while.  Then I got that stupid butt kicking cold.
(I am feeling much better.  Thank you to everyone who has asked.)
Today, I finally unwrapped the die and made 3 squares using CTMH papers.
Then, after making the squares, I wasn't sure what to do with them.
Using a set of stamps from Our Craft Lounge, they became Easter cards and will find their way to SAS4Kids.

Iris Folding Anyone?

The other day I die cut some really pretty bunnies which are waiting to find homes.  I really wanted to use the negatives for some iris folding.

Papers and stamps are from CTMH.  I was going to use cotton for the bunny tails until the spool of crochet cotton caught my eye.  The eye is just a black dot of marker with glue on top.  The nose is a punched circle, also with a dot of glue.

Challenges:

Crafty Animals Challenge #11 - Anything Goes
