Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge #746

Welcome to my blog, where I have
a new card to share with you each week for

 Tuesday Morning Sketches

Here's the sketch with which we'd like to challenge you this week.

The design team was instructed to
think brush strokes for those rectangles below the focal point.

Unfortunately, I neglected to bring any brushes with me to our winter home.  But I did bring my box of ink cubes, which I used instead.  This card could be used as a Father's Day card or a birthday card.
(Papers and stamps are from a SU Paper Pumpkin kit.)

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog.

The Design Team invites you to stop by
 and visit their blogs, too.

You can be sure that one of us will be visiting you.

The stamps are from Stampin' Up and the die cut borders are MFT.  I fussy cut the three letters.

I can't wait to visit your blogs and see what you do with this sketch!

Tuesday Morning Sketches
Here is a new sketch for you to try:

I'm just about finished making Mother's Day cards.  So I started making Father's Day cards.

I thought this was an easy design and great for using scraps.

Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge #698

Welcome to my blog, where I have
a new card
to share with you each week for

Tuesday Morning Sketches

This week we have a brand new sketch for you to try.
I really had to put on my thinking cap for this one!  My hexagon dies are in Pennsylvania.  I'm in Florida.  Hmmm!
Since sketches are meant to be a jumping off point, I thought I'd try using triangles instead.   But there was something about that card front I didn't like.  Then I discovered I could make hexagons with 6 little triangles.   How'd I do?

I'm getting an early start on Father's Day cards for SAS4Kids,
although this would make a fine birthday card, too.

The Design Team would love it if you'd visit our blogs.

Ruff Day

Hoping you'll like another Father's Day card featuring Funny Pup, a Bugaboo digi image.  I used the female version on another card a few days ago.
This pooch is colored with pencils, except for his eyebrows.  I used a black gel pen for those to get them real black.

Challenges:
Sweet Stampin Challenge - Die Cuts and Punches (Stars and letters are die cuts; sentiment is stamped)
Aud Sentiments Challenge #253 - AG with a sentiment
Cut It Up Challenge #202 - Perfect Pet
Catch the Bug June Theme Challenge - The Man, The Myth, The Legend

Now I must return to my project du jour ... my mother's tax return.

Double Trouble Challenge #58

Today I'm sharing a masculine card with lots of circles that is also entered in the Use Your Stuff challenge, so Trouble Maker, Twisted Sister and Double Dare at Double Trouble Challenge #58 should all be happy.

The DAD stamps are from SU; everything else is CTMH.
I started out stamping the letters on gray cs, fussy cut them, and then decided I didn't like them.  I also dry embossed the background with a gear design, but it doesn't show up very well.

And since I already had the gray letters ready to use, I did.

Both cards will work well for Father's Day, birthday, or just about any occasion.

Challenges:
Unicorn Challenge #55 - Masculine
Ike's World Challenge #133 - R is for Round (circles on paper and round metal studs)
Cuttlebug Mania Challenge - Father's Day (background is dry embossed with a gear design)
Cardz 4 Guys Challenge #246 - Father's Day
Use Your Stuff Challenge #399 - Masculine/Father's Day
Double Trouble Challenge #58 - Masculine, circles, play at UYS
Paper Fun Day Challenge #18 - AG option: masculine
Lil Red Wagon Challenge #552 - patterned paper or design your own backgroundpaper
