Fussy Friday

With a bridal shower to attend on Sunday, I thought I better get to work on a card to accompany my gift.  Did you ever have a day when you had a difficult time getting a special card just right?  Today was one of those days for me.
I now have an unused assortment of shower umbrellas in various combinations and shades of pink, black and white, after finally deciding on which I liked best.
Ditto for the framed sentiment.
Here's the final card:

Cricut cuts are from CTMH Art Philsophy and Artistry  cartridges.
Papers, black shimmer tape, bling and sentiment stamp are also CTMH products.
Card design is a pleated skirt fold.

Challenges:
City Crafter Challenge Week 372 - Something beginning with an "s" (stamped sentiment)

Bridal Shower/Wedding Card

Today I switch from Baby Shower Cards to some for Bridal Showers.
I think this card could be used for either a shower or as a wedding card.

You can't see the clear glitter Wink of Stella in all the flower petals, but in person it's very pretty.
The stamp on the card front is from Verve.
The inside stamp is from CTMH.
The velum die cut is from Cherry Lynn Designs.
The doily embossing folder is by Sizzix.
The flowers are fussy cut from the center of the embossed doily.

Challenges:
Scrapy Land Challenge #43 - Anything Goes
Crafty Creations Challenge #317 - Tic Tac Toe (1st column: sentiment, flowers, leaves)

Eclectic Ellapu June Challenge - Purple Team: Wedding
Chocolate, Coffee and Cards Challenge #110 - Bingo (3rd column: emboss, die cut, ribbon)

Muse Challenge # 101

This relatively simple card could easily be used for Valentine's Day, a wedding, anniversary, or birthday.   Marion Vagg is this week's muse for the Muse Challenge #101 and you'll find her card, the inspiration for my own, right here.  In fact, she's made a whole set of cards in fabulous colors.

It's supposed to be a one layer card, but my stamping was a little crooked.  So I cut another panel and just covered up my goof.  I used CTMH paper and stamps from the Heartstrings WOTG Cardmaking Kit and CTMH white daisy pigment ink.

I'll be submitting this card to:

A Great Card Day

Today my friend and CTMH consultant, Joyce Houck, held her annual Christmas Card Extravaganza. Those attending made 8 fabulous Christmas cards using some of this year's CTMH Christmas products.  Here's what we made:

I think everyone was pleased with this year's cards, not to mention the fact that we had taco soup for lunch which we all love (The recipe can be found on Joyce's blog, if you're curious.).
Thanks, Joyce, for a great day.
