After a couple days of rain and record cold temps for May,
today was a beautiful day.
I thought I'd Celebrate by making a card for Double Trouble Challenge #85. This is only a one week challenge because it is the 5th Monday of the month. And because it is the 5th Monday of the month, the theme is
Something, Anything, Everything and Optional YoYo Fun.
After very careful and in depth research, I decided to let the Pinwheel Yo-Yo trick be the inspiration for my card. To make it extra fun, I made a Yo-Yo Spinner card. Pull the little blue star and the pinwheel spins like a yo-yo. Wind the string back up to do it again and again.

Today's card was made for the MFT Color Challenge.
Blue and brown is one of my favorite color combinations.
The sentiment stamp and brown glitter paper are both from MFT.
This sentiment is fairly versatile, and works well for the cards I donate to SAS4Kids.
The bunny is a Tim Holtz Sizzix die, popped with a die cut piece of craft foam.
The rectangle dies are from Stamplorations.
Challenges:
MFT Color Challenge #157 - see above; Allsorts Challenge Week 607 - Something New (rectangle dies); Aud Sentiments Challenge #266 - AG with a sentiment;
While sorting through a stash of paper, I found this scrap of cute pachaderm patterned paper. Not knowing where to file it for later use, I just made a card for my SAS4K box.
I followed this week's My Favorite Things Sketch.
The stamp and dies I used are from MFT.
Additional challenges I am entering:
Fab n Funky Challenge #497 - Birthday; Seize the Birthday Challenge #201 - Birthday, option/scraps; Cute Card Thursday Challenge # 655 - Dies & Punches;
The theme for the October Challenge at
Crafting Happiness Challenge #66 - AG; Allsorts Challenge Week 589 - I love... die cuts, fun paper, and Birthday Cake; Artsystamper Digitals Challenge #23 - AG
A freshly made card for the new challenge
Additional challenges I am entering: Aud Sentiments Challenge #259 - AG + a sentiment; Krafty Chicks Challenge #523 - Stamp Act; Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Stamp It In September; Try It On Tuesday Challenge - Neat and Tidy
However, I did make this card is for the My Favorite Things Color Challenge #148.
When I first saw the colors for the challenge,
I wasn't too sure, but the blue and orange look nice together.
This is a closeup of the glittery flower.
The sentiment and the flower stamp are from My Favorite Things. When I bought the flower stamp, I decided I could easily fussy cut around the flower. But, the next time I was in the MFT store, I picked up the matching die.
Now that I have satisfied my creative side, I really do need to dust.
Thanks for the visit!
