Just wanted to say HI!

Today I have a card up on the Reprint blog. I tend to make a card every other 6 or 7 month... Anyway, it was fun. :)

I was inspired by this week's Mojo Monday sketch.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi!

Almost a year since I last posted here. Feels like longer. Since it's October and breast cancer awareness month, I'd like to share my story.

I went to Princeton and Washington in October last year, came home and found not one but two urgent letters from the breast cancer center at the local hospital. Right before leaving I had done the breast cancer screening offered to women over 40 and I am so happy I did. They had found a huge tumor in my left breast. It turned out that it had also spread to the lymph nodes.

I'm alive because of the screening program and I will forever be grateful for it. And I smack myself for not checking my breasts myself - I could feel it, once I knew! If it had been found earlier so much would have been easier. So I urge all of you to please check your breasts! :)

The past year has included operation, chemo, radiation and now medication. Not a trip in the park, but I'm alive and kicking. :) I've done well, the hair is coming back, the support has been amazing and it's about time to start anew. A proof of my recovery is the recent urge to craft!

I was on the Reprint DT when I was diagnosed. And this amazing company has been nothing but supportive while I've been occupied with other stuff. I'm really happy to finally be able to contribute to their blog!

This was such a fun card to make, I was inspired by Jennifer McGuire's youtube video Stamping with water and had to try this technique. Love how the background came out, and also love to be learning something new.

The card was inspired by the lovely sketch over at Sketch Saturday.

Thank you for stopping by and letting me share. :) Take care, and I hope to see you soon! :)

Birthday card

My ex mother in law turned 82 the other day and I decided to make her a card. Spring flowers and butterflies might not be the most obvious theme for a fall birthday card – but hey, they are pretty, right! Being born late September I know everything about no strawberry cake and tulips for my birthday. :) I say no more. :)

Ett stort 1

I really like how this card turned out. Simple but the papers are absolutely wonderful. Everything is from Reprint, and this card with product information is up on the Reprint Blog today.

Ett stort 2

I used last week’s sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches, really liked that one. Too late to play, though.

I’m going to Princeton in November. Sooo looking forward to go the the US again! Never traveled beyond the city lines of New York last time, this time it’s New Jersey. It will take me some time to cover the continent… Anyway, any scrappy shopping possibilities in the Princeton area??? Give me a shout out if you have any tips!

Thank you for stopping by!!!

Together

Happy Wednesday! I’m up on the Reprint blog today with a card made of a paper I totally adore. Love, love, love the soft text pattern and the rose buds along the edges. I knew I’d use it at once I saw retrosketches #133.

Together 2

The sentiment and butterflies are embossed with copper. Kept the design clean to let the paper and embossed stamps shine.

Together 4

Here is the fab sketch:

I have a second card to share. I’ve been playing with my Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps. It was a long time ago and I’ve missed them. I teamed up a few of my favorite sets and had some fun.

Hello 1

I used this great sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches:

I’m also entering the card in Creatalicious Challenge – flowers. I meant to use a lot more flowers, but the clean gene hit me. On the other side, the one flower is the center. :)

Thank you for stopping by! Have a fab day!

Happy Holidays

Hello everyone! Happy Friday!

I’ve started on my Christmas cards. Love making them, they are my favorite themed card. It was pure joy to bring out the holiday stash. I found this beautiful MME paper which I’ve hoarded for I don’t know how long.Three years or. Time to use it! :)

Happy Holidays 2

I’ve used Amy’s fab sketch from Jingle Belles.

It’s a great one – perfect for clean and simple and quick cards (this one took like 15 minutes). Most of the card is done once the paper is glued down to the card base. I added a stamp and some lace and twine. Done.

Happy Holidays 3

My second card is this week’s Reprint project. I used the cutest little bear stamp and Reprint Basic Collection Pastel 6x6.

A close up. :) I stamped the bear twice, colored it with distress ink and layered them to get some action.

Have a fab day!

Thank you!

Mojo hit me yesterday. Wasn’t sure it would ever return so I’m really happy. And now I’ve made three cards. I doubled this year’s card production in two hours… Hope it will stay! First card is for my mother’s neighbors. They are the most amazing people ever and I will never be able to thank them enough for all the support and love they spread.

Thank you 1

I’ve used the oh so wonderful Delicate Asters PreCut Set with coordinated dies from Heartfelt Creations. Perfect flower this time of year.

Thank you 2

I used sketch #235 from Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

Next card is made for Reprint. I’ve been an absent DT the past months but I intend to change that now. Info about the products can be found on the Reprint blog.

I’ll save the third one for another day. :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Helloooo! I have two projects to share today. The card is last week’s Reprint project, using last week’s Seize the sketch.  Too late to play, but the sketch was a good one!

Birthday Card

Stort grattis 2

Äntligen vår! Och vår betyder nystart, så också för mig med nytt liv med nya mål och nya uppdrag. :) Det här är mitt första projekt som Design Team-medlem hos Reprint Hobby. Yay!

Spring is here and it’s time for a fresh start! New life, new goals, new assignments!  :) This is my first card as a Design Team member of Reprint Hobby, a Swedish manufacturer and wholesaler.

Stort grattis 1

Det är ett födelsedagskort till en arbetskamrat. Den unge spolingen fyller 40 minsann.

This is a birthday card for a co worker. The young man turns 40 next week and he needs to be reminded of the fact he is finally one of us grown ups. :)

Stort grattis 3

Jag ville ha ett “manligt” kort med stänk av rosa och glitter. Vem älskar inte rosa och glitter??? Lite detaljer stämplade med Victorian velvet, stickles och glossy accent fick stå för den biten.

I wanted to make a male card with hints of pink and bling. (Everybody deserves some pink and some bling!!!) I added some stamped details in pink, some stickles and glossy accent.
