I have a dream of taking a trip in a hot air balloon one day, but for now pretty pictures will have to do ;-)  While I was busy designing the envelope, I thought how great it would be to receive an envelope like this with a ticket for a hot air balloon trip inside! Lavender & Lime

Oh . . . how I enjoyed the  favourite colour combo challenge from Theme Thursday! I just love the combination of these two colours! The background is part of a french document that Miette from Chez La Miette bricole shared with Karen from the Graphics Fairy - two very generous ladies! Due to time difference, I am still in time to share this on Brag Monday.

Purple iris

Dating back to ancient Greek times, purple irises were planted over the graves of woman to summon the Greek goddess Iris to guide them in their journey.
I discovered Collage Obsession today and will try and take part in their weekly challenge.

Touched by colour

A hodgepodge of a few things I really like - 1920's fashion, bold colours, french ephemera and feathered creatures. Her hairdo was known as the Marcel wave - a stylish wave given to the hair by means of a heated curling iron. Named after Francois Marcel, a 19th century French hairdresser who invented the process in 1872. It revolutionized the art of hairdressing all over the world and remained in vogue for over fifty years, no doubt making a fortune for monsieur Marcel!
