Miley turned 4 months on the 20th. It is really weird to think that she is already four months old. She continues to be a happy little girl.
She is starting to nap better during the day, which is really great but she still struggles to fall asleep at night. We can't quite figure it out. When I put her down for a nap she goes right to sleep with very little fussing but at night it is a whole different story. It usually takes us AT LEAST an hour to get her to fall asleep and most of that hour involves some type of her letting us know she is upset. Once she falls asleep she is great though.
She is very talkative and usually is full of happy screams all day long. She is funny though because if she isn't happy she just has no emotion. She isn't mad but she just will give you this blank stare if you try and talk to her or get her to smile at you.
Her sisters are starting to show more interest in her now that they don't have to be AS careful with her. She likes when they play next to her so she can stare at them. She smiles when she can hear Emma close to her and she loves when Katelyn gets right in her face and says "Hi, baby girl!"
She still really likes her swing but doesn't love her bouncer as much anymore. She would rather be laying under her toys on her toy mat so she can hit the toys and try to roll over all at the same time. Like both of her sisters, she rolls from her back to her front but can't figure out how to reverse the process. It is pretty funny to watch her roll, it happens in slow motion because it is so hard for her to get over her arm.
It is still pretty weird for me to look at her with no hair. She has a tiny bit there but since it is so light you can't really see it so she mostly looks bald. She has some really long wispy strands scattered on her head though which I think are pretty funny.
She is getting better at sitting up and if she thinks that she is in a position that is too reclined will do everything in her power to sit up higher. This is one of the reasons that she doesn't like her bouncer as much anymore.
She has a pretty serious death grip that Emma and I both have to suffer from. From about 4 months to 9 months I am always really, really tempted to cut my hair so I don't have to pry it away from chubby little baby fingers but I always resist because I remember how long it takes me to grow it back out. Emma always tells Miley that she should apologize to her for pulling her hair and hurting her. She sometimes forgets that Miley can't talk!
She giggles and squeaks with delight alot but especially when Dad is around. All of my babies love him more than me. He is the baby whisperer in this house. Sometimes I can do everything in my power to make her happy or get her to fall asleep and she just wont give in and it seems like the second that he picks her up she stops crying and falls asleep. He has the magic touch. He has been traveling alot for work lately so it has made for some long nights for the two of us.
We love our happy, chubby, 4 month old and are so glad that she is part of our family.
