Groupon SnoWalk@i-City: Our first time experience
My family bought our first Groupon:
The deal that we bought:
I must say Groupon Customer Support is quite prompt in responding to customer queries via support@groupon.my.
I emailed an enquiry on Fri, Dec 30, 2011 at 2:27 PM. Immediately, there was an email auto-responser from Groupon with the subject 'We got your request, and will be in touch very soon! (ticket #9xxxx)'. The official reply to my email enquiry only came at at 11:04 PM on the same day.
Not bad.

After our visit to i-City, I emailed again on Mon, Jan 9, 2012 at 12:38 AM, requesting for explainations with regards to my experience using Groupon @ i-City.
Here's the content of the email:
Hi,
My wife and kid just finished our Snowalk and 1 outdoor ride.
Would like to have answers to the following questions:
1. We redeemed our Groupon for 1 ticket for the 2-tier ride and another 3 tickets for outdoor rides. When we went to the ticket counter at ferris wheel, we were told that each of the 3 tickets were for one person each - hence we could use it for myself, my wife and kid. Is it supposed to be that way? (We didn't use the 2-tier ride ticket)
2. If let's say just my wife and I, by right, with the 1 ticket for the 2-tier ride and another 3 tickets for outdoor rides, then both of us could go on all the 4 rides - is that correct?
I hope you can clarify.
Thanks.
A week went by. No response from Groupon. I emailed again on Tue, Jan 17, 2012 at 10:23 AM with the following content:
Hi Support,
Do you have a policy not to entertain questions from customers after the deal is done?
At least, have the courtesy to reply my email. I just want answers to my questions.
Regards,
Joshua
Fifteen minutes later, I got this email from Groupon:
Slim, Jan-17 10:38 am (MYT):
Hi Joshua,
My colleague Athiesh did reply your request #9xxxx It may have gone to your Spam/Junk folder.
As for your question.
If you and your wife went as a couple then yes you would have been able to redeem the coupon to ride all 4 rides.
Please let me know if I can be of any more assistance.
Regards,
Slim

My reply to Slim on Tue, Jan 17, 2012 at 10:53 AM:
Slim,
Thanks for your reply.
Just checked my Spam/Junk, no email from your colleague Athiesh.
I think Groupon should've communicated clearly to the i-City people especially those manning the ticket counters. This man at the ferris wheel ticket counter in particular, misunderstood the groupon promo. He told me 1 coupon per person. So, I gave him the three coupons - one each for my son, my wife and I.
Well, it was a good thing that we only wanted to ride the ferris wheel for if we wanted to ride all the 4 rides, I think we wouldn't be able to do so after the ferris wheel ride.
Thanks for your reply.

Kenanga Wholesale City: Get free ABC, PARKING!
My family went to Kenanga Wholesale City for the first time on 17 January 2011.
These vouchers were cut out from an advertisement in the The Sun.
Tip: Always get extra 2-3 copies of The Sun. Thus, I got three vouchers! ;)
Redeemed the above vouchers for the real vouchers.
Some shops were still in setup stage like this one.
Shop selling spectacle frames.
Janson trying out a frame.
After shopping, went to the seventh floor for lunch.
Welcome to Kenanga Food Court, a Non-Halal Food Court!
There's an eating area (indoor) next to the Coffee Corner.
There's a balcony for patrons to 'eat out'.
It is being separated from the indoor eating area by glass walls and door.

Our FREE ABC and herbal tea!
'Food-court' food is pricey and not that tasty.
Last but not least, the toilet is decent and clean. 8-)

Suria KLCC: Peaceful assembly, flashmob rulez! ;-)
About 100-strong flashmob staged a protest against the Peaceful Assembly
Bill at KLCC today, defying an injunction threat from the management.
My family was there. No doubt, our going there was planned the night before. Suggested to my wife to go shopping at KLCC and told her about the flashmob. She said ok. Suddenly, she remembered the first Garrett Popcorn Shop in Malaysia was now in KLCC Suria and told me about it. *hint hint* So, I had to said ok to buying her favourite Garrett Popcorn. ;)
Ok, cut the story short. We were there when about 100-strong flashmob staged a protest against the Peaceful Assembly
Bill at KLCC today, defying an injunction threat from the management.

PappaRich 3 Two Square: Eating together as family
Mommy wanted to have dinner @ PappaRich. Ok, since Mommy wanted to go, so off we went to the nearest PappaRich.
Well, PappaRich, the latest of the modern upmarket kopitiam chains that are popping up all over the country, is certainly growing rapidly.
As a family, we eat at PappaRich at least once a month. So, it does not qualify as 'our family restaurant'. Our family restaurant is still one of those traditional kopitiams. ;)

Cravings Kitchen & Bistro Tesco Extra Cheras: Food, drinks, free wifi, astro
Our first visit to Cravings Kitchen & Bistro Tesco Extra Cheras on Friday, February 11, 2011. We went there for dinner. My wife said the belacan fried rice was ok. My butter rice with grilled fish was nice but the fish portion was not enough for my big appetite that night. Janson loved eating the yummy chicken tempura nuggets...
Somehow, the free WiFi didn't work.
Will we go there again? Maybe.

Nuffnang Friso Family Day Out: Tony Pua and Najib were there!
Thanks to mommy whose post entitled us to attend this event for the second time.
Janson having fun!
In the gym: Janson 'doing his thing' while most kids joined the song-and-movement activity.
Managed to meet and greet Tony Pua who was seated at the cafe on my way to the loo. 'Tony Pua!' I called him. He looked at me and smiled. Obviously, he didn't know me. So, I just said, 'Good to see a MP here.' He smiled.
The doting dad, Tony Pua with his eight-month-old son.
Then, during lunch, Najib was next to me!
Thankfully, he was not Najib-Altantuya!

Father's First: Janson's first time informing he poo pooed
This afternoon, daddy and mommy were totally 'knocked out'.
We were lying on the floor in the living room.
Mommy was already fast asleep while daddy was about to fall asleep. Suddenly, I heard 'Poo Poo'.
I opened my eyes and saw Janson standing in front of me. Quickly, I got up and pulled him to me. Grabbing him, I pulled his shorts and diaper and peeped inside.
Hehe....yes, there was indeed poo poo - a piece of hard stool.
Then I woke up mommy. She cleaned and changed his diaper while I lifted his legs. Finished! Janson was happily playing again, mommy went back to sleep and daddy his resumed baby-sitting.
