Princess Papers, Pearl Dew Drops and Flowers

My little girl is a huge fan of anything feminine. Pinks, Purples, glitter and jewels, a mini me I suppose. She loves to get dressed up in her many princess costumes and usually smiles ear to ear when she does. This rare photo had me questioning my little princess and I thought it was truly perfect to scrap.

Hey there everyone, I'm here today to share with you a layout I created using some beautiful Princess papers from The Robins Nest. For this layout I used Plum Fleur and Glitter Black and White Border Swirl papers.I painted the Border Swirl papers with Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze and Glimmer Mist. The glaze works as a resits which I love. I created a pink peony made from the pink flower pack and added a few of the stickers from the Daughter Sticker pack.

I also added a fussy cut Princess border and a bunch of Champagne Dew Drops to add interest to the distressed layout.

When my daughter saw the layout she turned and hugged me and said "It's beautiful mommy, how did you know I wanted that?" That was enough for me hehe. Here is the entire layout. I hope you enjoy it as much as my daughter and I.

Take a moment and check out the beautiful Fleur and Castle of Santa Maria da Feira collections. Perfect for the princess in all of us. Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope that all of our readers in the Tennessee,Ohio, Kansas, Georgia regions are safe and I hope that all of you are having a great weekend.

TAAFOMFT June 30th Challenge

Hello Everyone and happy Tuesday. I hope that all of you had a fantastic long weekend.

This week marks the last challenge over at the TAAFOMFT blog and the challenge is "favorite collection" So as an ode to the wonderful Miss Julie, I decided to create a favorite collection of favorite things for the challenge. That was a mouth full wasn't it lol.

I decided to created a layout that does not include a photo. Instead, I used the lyrics from the wonderful Sound of Music song instead as the focal point. I'm so loving all the little embellishments I created to go with the beautiful papers from Pink Paislee. Anything with butterflies (like the Butterfly Garden collection) are a love of mine for certain. From the brown paper package tied up in string, to the white dress with blue satin sash. For the dress, I used the Dress me Up dress form from Basically Bare and added a good helping of both Bridal Glitter and Moonrise Glitter Tinsel .

I love the richness that these glitters have added to the dress form. I also used some Organic Garden Glimmer Glam on the Cosmo Cricket mittens to tie in with the colors. All that dimension on the layout is created using Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots. Positively the best dimensional adhesive out there.

So if you haven't made your project for the new challenge at TAAFOMFT, take a few moments today and create about your favorite collection. And Julie, I just want to take a moment to tell you that I'm beyond honored to have been a part of your challenge site. I've been blessed to create for you. Thank you again *hugs*

Until next time

I will post when I can, so you will still have stuff to see. So don't be strangers. There will be little surprise candies along the way as well, so comment when you can.

This card was my final project for Urban Swank. I so adore Becky and I'm blessed to call her a friend. Becky thank you for everything!!!

I so love the circles and the butterflies on this one. Super pretty and cheery I think. I added a little ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and some Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type to finish it off.

Happy Blogging Anniversary to MEEEEEEEEEEE

Happy Blog Anniversary to me!!!! 2 full years of blogging and sharing my creativity with you. 2 full years of making some amazing friendships and 2 whole years of editing posts hehe. I so love the blog community and the craftiness that I find every day on it. Today is CANDY DAY here at Ink Cut & Fold, but before I start announcing winners, I've got a few projects to share with you.

These projects have been made using products available at Frantic Stamper. I've been a busy bee with so many things on the go, but noticed these little gems hadn't been shared.

Love the brightness on this one. I used heat embossing and alcohol inks to create the background stamped image for the heart. Lots of Tim Holtz goodness on this one

With Valentines Day right around the corner, I have created a few projects for that. This one uses the Bo Bunny Collection Crazy Love, the perfect Valentine papers.

Another card using the Bo Bunny Crazy Love collection. This one is a favorite of mine and a dear friend thought so to, so it quickly became a favorite of "hers"

And lastly a card for a baby shower, This one just makes me smile from ear to ear. The papers are Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday.

Now off to pick some winners of all that CANDY!!! Come back throughout the day to see if you are a winner.

1st Annual Helmar Halloween Howler Hop

Hey there everyone and welcome to my little spot in the crafty universe. Today is a fantastic day filled with Halloween and Fall inspired projects from your Helmar Design Team. If you have been following along the hop, you should have hopped here from Tracy's Awesome blog. Talk about freakin scary talent!!! If you haven't been hopping with us today, go on back to the Helmar Blog and start from the top. There are so many amazing projects, and I don't want you to miss a thing (including a HUGE Helmar blog candy giveaway)

I've got a few projects to share with you today using my favorite Helmar products. The first project is a Halloween Banner that features Heaven in a Tube AKA Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots. Many of you that do stop by here or the Helmar blog, know how much I love this stuff. I can't make a project without it!!!

I've used two great Halloween paper lines. One from Cosmo Cricket and the other from Nikki Sivils. Love how they work together. The banner itself is from Nikki Sivils too. It is called the Tag Chipboard album and is perfect for banners.

Ain't that beyond sweet. Those little ghosts just pop right up with the help of Heaven in a Tube. I love the little bit of crepe paper to make the letters stand out.

Just a little Stickles for some sparkle and some oozing drips...

Look at all of those layers!!! Using Liquid Scrap Dots gives any project the dimension you need.

Now for my second favorite product, I just had to make a statement with glitter. Any of you that know me, know that I'm part magpie. Gemstone Glue is such an amazing adhesive to work with and I love love LOVE how it can be painted onto a project to really define things. I used a small bristled paintbrush to apply Gemstone Glue to each separate area of the project. Adding PK Glitz glitter, then starting on the next area. What did I create you ask??? My Fall ballgown. Now to find a place to wear it around these parts lmao.

All of those little rhinestones are also attached to the dress form using Gemstone Glue. This stuff is beautiful and dries perfectly for things like gems, glitter, mirrors, and glass. Not to mention beads, and metal and fabric and and and. Maybe I should start calling it Heaven in a Bottle.... hmmmm

The ribbon is available at Really Reasonable Ribbon, where you can also buy some Helmar products.

Whatcha think? Have you gotten that crafty mojo for Autumn and Halloween projects pumpin!?! Well there is more I tell ya. Before you head on over to Laura's Blog, make sure to leave some love here. Every blog needs a little love, and when you do that, you may just win the GRAND HOP PRIZE!!! And I might just have hidden candy too.

Now click the button below to go and check out what Laura has created. You won't be disappointed. Thanks for stopping by today.

Once in a while I'm inspired to create sweet, cute cards that just make you smile. Cosmo Cricket has a great collection called Joy Ride, filled with airplanes, sweet luggage and "are we there yets".

I created this cute little card using Helmar Liquid Scrapdots, which many of you know, I call Heaven in a Tube lol.

Hope this little card makes ya smile.

Isn't that little Burberry bag the sweetest??? I gotta get me one like that hehe.

By the way, my two recent giveaways didn't have their new owners stand up, so I'm combining them for one bigger prize. Leave a comment here, let your friends know, become a follower, mention it on your blog, tweet it or facebook it. Transparencies and Cards

A few days ago, I shared with you a transparency tag that I created using a tag from heART of Scrapbooking. Today I've got another project using one of the Vintage Girls journal tags. I haven't done a lot of vintage and shabby chic, but I'm getting the bug BIG TIME!!!

I think that has something to do with constantly stalking both Beatriz Jennings and Julia Stainton's blogs. If you have never checked these out, go take a look when you can.

Here is the card

Is that not the sweetest image? I adhered the tag to a white piece of card stock using the V2 Vellum Adhesive from Helmar. Stamped a flourish with Staz-on and added some Cosmo Cricket small type letters to finish it off. A little organza ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and a Prima rose.

Love the softness of this one and the sentiment is from one of my favorite love poems of all time.

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of everyday's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love thee with a passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints, --- I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life! --- and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.

Dress forms the Cosmo Cricket way

Hi Everyone and Happy Friday. Man this week flew by. Guess that is what happens with a short work week hehe. Today I've got another card to share with you that I created using the May Royal Kit from Queen Kat Designs. The stamps alone, in the May kit, are simply beautiful. This dress form caught my eye as soon as I opened up my kit. Ain't she purdy???!!!???

I stamped the image on a glossy tag with staz-on then spritzed the tag quite liberally with Scarlet and Lemon Glimmer Mists. Have I ever told any of you, how much I love Glimmer Mist? There are so many ways to use it.

I just love all of the little pictures on the Material Girl line from Cosmo Cricket. Such a sweet line.

So what are your plans for the weekend? Share a little about what you are going to be doing over the next few days.

Until next time

Cosmo Cricket meets a Zipper with QKD

Hello Everyone and Happy Thursday to all of you. I had my weekly weigh in for Weight Watchers, and I'm down another .8lbs. I'm super excited about that, and I'm really starting to feel good about how I'm looking. On Monday I am starting on a little daily routine, to bring a bit of order into my life. When it comes to crafting, I'm exceptionally organized, but at the expense of housework I think hehe.

Today I've got a great card to share with you that I created with the May Kit from Queen Kat Designs. It was filled with lots of Cosmo Cricket goodness and a few great little additions.

When I first saw the zipper in the kit, I wasn't sure how I was going to incorporate it into a project, but I think it worked out well.

Have you ever used sewing notions of any kind on your projects? If you have I'd love to see a link to them. I'll have another QKD Royal Kit project for you tomorrow and it is full of Glimmer Mist mmmmmmmm.

Until then, thanks for stopping by

Queen Kat Designs Blog Hop Monday

Hello Everyone and Happy Monday to all of you. Hope you are all enjoying the long weekend. Today is QKD blog hop Monday and there are some amazing projects along the hop. If you just popped in, take a quick hop back to the Queen Kat Blog to start from the beginning of the hop. If you've been following along, you would have hopped here from the super talented Keely Yowler's Blog. Keely's coloring is always so cheery and beautiful.

This week, we had an inspiration challenge and I will admit, I had a little problems with this one. The inspiration pieces are so stunning, but the kit doesn't have that Art Deco feel.

So I used the first picture. The placement of the design elements and some of the colors in the print, took me to right about here....

I don't make tags very often, but wanted to use the shape of the Chrysler Building and a tag with the ribbon, seemed to work. So what do ya think?
Now it's time to hop on over to the store and take advantage of some awesome prices and grab that May Kit. It is full of Cosmo Cricket goodness and you will love creating with it. Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Queen Kat Designs Blog Hop

Hello Everyone and Happy Monday to you all. Today is another Queen Kat Blog Hop and I've got a super sweet card to share with you. If you have been following along, you should have hopped here from Terri's Blog. If not you can hop on back the the Queen Kat blog and start from the very beginning.

This weeks challenge was to create a monochromatic project and the May Royal Kit had just what I needed to make a sweet green card. The Material Girl line from Cosmo Cricket is so full of whimsy that I decided to make a card for a "wee one". This is what I came up with

Sweet and simple. The photo corner was inked with distress ink then covered with matching distress stickles.I love the layers with this card and look at that, it's a clean and simple design. I don't do those very often do I hehe.

Now hop on over the the store to take a look at the great May Kit and some of the new RUBBER stamps. They have great detail and are wonderful to ink up. Thanks for stopping by today and have an awesome Monday.

Queen Kat Designs Blog Hop Monday

Happy Monday Everyone. Hope you all had a fantastic weekend and a wonderful Mothers day. the children and I went back to Calgary to see my mom and had a wonderful time.

So it is that time of the week again, when I share with you my challenge creation made for the Queen Kat Designs Blog Hop. If you have been hopping along, you should have hopped from Terri's blog. If you haven't started from the beginning, you can pop on over to the Queen Kat Blog to see all of the creations for this week.

This week was another Sketch challenge and I just LOVE LOVE LOVE this sketch.

With all the wonderful Cosmo Cricket Material Girl goodness in the May Royal Kit, I found inspiration quickly. Here is my creation

I cut out some of the flowers on the Material Girl Inspiration paper to create the layered flower. Just spun the ends of each flower around a very small paint brush and VOILA, beautiful flowers. I think this dress form stamp is one of my favorites that I've received from Queen Kat. A real classic image that stamps like a dream.

So if you love Cosmo Cricket, take a look at this months kit. It is filled with Material Girl Goodness.
Now hop on over to the store and check out the new stamps and grab yourself one of the May Royal Kits.

Mother's Day the Apron Way

Oh the weather outside looks frightful..... Gotta love Snow in May, the joys of living in Rural Saskatchewan I think haha. How is everyone today? The kids and I are off to Calgary to spend Mothers Day with my mom and we couldn't be more excited. Our boy told Gramma this morning and I think I heard both of them squeal.

So to celebrate Mother's Day, I'm sharing a little card I did for Frantic Stamper. I don't do shape card very often, but found a few wonderful templates out there {You can find one at Anna's place- my favorite spot for dipping my toes in the country}. The card is created using Cosmo Cricket Early Bird collection and I think this one is just darling. When I was a little girl, my mom always wore the cutest aprons in the kitchen and i remember that fondly.

So here it is. Happy Mother's Day Mom. We love you

One last little bit this morning. Just wanted to let any of my readers that are down in the south dealing with tornadoes, flooding and the like, that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.

Queen Kat Designs Blog Hop Monday

Hello Everyone and Happy Monday. It is another installment of Queen Kat Monday Blog Hop, and today I get to start sharing with you the amazing May Kit. It is chalk full of Cosmo Cricket goodness and I have had so much fun creating with it.

If you are following along on the hop, you should have popped by here via Terri's Blog . If this is your first stop, hop on back to the Queen Kat blog to start from the beginning.

For this weeks challenge, we had a sketch to give us some inspiration and I just love this sketch.

Isn't that a great sketch. I love the simplicity of it and how you can really use your creativity to make it your own.

Here is my take on the sketch

The colors in this months kit are absolutely amazing, and that it is full of Cosmo Cricket goodness is such a bonus. If you haven't tried a Royal Kit from Queen Kat, I strongly recommend this one. Truly a great kit.

Now off to the store to take a look at some of the new releases. There are a tonne of great images to pack up in your cart. Did you know that Queen Kat is changing over to rubber stamps? The detailing is going to be fantastic.

My favorite from the store this week.... Has to be the stamps in the May Royal Kit
A dress form, the scissors in border that my card has, and some great sentiments. Go check it out.

Until next time, thanks so much for stopping by. I so appreciate your comments.
