Scrapbook Star Tutorial Cracked Glass and Metal Flowers

A cloudy, overcast Wednesday today everyone. I did get a moment to go and plant my sweetpeas and hope they will sprout. Yesterday our Son had a doctors appointment and we finally got some results that are going to help him stay healthy. Poor little guy {5 1/2} has had a real rough go this year.I guess that is what happens to Little pumpkins born at 33 weeks. He has some high level allergies and a sever allergy that we think has been toe culprit to all his sickness. He is allergic to our kitty and that is just heartbreaking. Now we have to see if my sister will take Puck for I don't think she'd make it with anyone else. She is a super shy, scaredy cat, and is an indoor cat to boot. *pouting*

But let's put a happy bit into this post today.
I've got a great 2 part tutorial over at Scrapbook Star and I love how it turned out. You can find the whole tutorial HERE. I created the Cracked Glass effect using UTEE and a metal flower.

Here are the photos for you.

Such a cool technique that I will definitely be doing again soon

Here is the flower

And the finished card

Tonight is weigh in at Weight Watchers, and I'm feeling really great about the outcome. I'll share it with you tomorrow.

Until then,

A Batik Background Tutorial

Hi Everyone and happy Tuesday to all of you. Today for the first time in 10 days, our little boy actually feels and looks healthy. Man he has had a rough go the past while. Nice to see he is bouncing back.
A few days ago I did my march 1st tutorial over at Scrapbook Star and I just had to share the card. I love love love how this background turned out and if you'd like to give it a whirl, you can find the tutorial here.

For the background I used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (one of my favorite products in my craft space) and they really finish the background beautifully.
Here is the card. A happy birthday to any of you that are celebrating a birthday this month.

Love that color combination too.

Today I'm watching the Design team reveal over at GCD Studios. Man they've got a stellar line up for this term.

Hope you all have a fantastic day today. Let me know what your favorite technique is. I'd love to know.

#3- Leave a comment on this post answering this question- What would you like to see on my blog? What changes? Do you want to see more techniques, tutorials, pictures of my family and life, more writing about whats going on in Erika World. A different look? Setup? widgets? Maybe you have a suggestion, an idea, something that would make this blog even better. Your ideas and thought matter a WHOLE BUNCH and I want to make sure that my audience loves coming to visit.

Another Scrapbook Star Card

Today's card is an inspiration challenge card that i did for the Scrapbook Star's got Talent July challenges. I have everyone using a picture of Leonid the Magnificent from a few years back on the America's got Talent Show. Here is the picture, followed by the card. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

I used a wonderful technique where you take a cuttlebug folder and ink it up, then put your painted grungeboard piece into it and this amazing embossed ink image is the final product.
