KinderStampO's 34 Birthday Balloons and Counting Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to the KinderStampO's 34 Birthday Balloons and Counting Blog hop. So many amazing projects on the hop today and I'm so very thankful you stopped in here today. There are over 40 bloggers joining in to celebrate and if you have been hopping along you should have hopped here from Denise's fabulous blog. If you are just stopping in,l hop on back to KinderStampO's blog to follow along

For Jessica's birthday I wanted to create a little something special for a very pretty lady. Something Victoria Secret inspired: Filled with beauty and whimsy. So when I received my Say it With Letters piece for January, I knew it would be the perfect thing to alter for the occasion. I grabbed some white feathers, a bunch of pink and white beads and a great Pink crystal heart and starting gluing!!! The beads are fastened on snug using Helmar Gemstone Glue. Love how this stuff dries clear. For the wings I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive. I'm so so so loving this, so without further adieu...

The prima roses were painted with Vintage Pink Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels and the Leaves Glimmer Chip with Forest Green Glimmer Mist. Here are a few close up photos for you.

It was so fun creating this project and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I do. Your next stop on the hop is Haidee's blog. Thanks so much for stopping in today and leaving some love.

Happy Birthday Jessica. May this year be even half as beautiful as YOU!!!

Woodn't ya know it

Hey there everyone. Happy Tuesday to all of you. Today is my first design team post for Tattered Angels. How stinkin exciting is that!!??!! This month, we are celebrating wood and all the altering possibilities using Tattered Angels products.

I've got three projects to share with you and I'm beyond excited to show you what an amazing change a little Glimmer can make.

First off a wonderful Christmas tree cut out from Say it With Letters. I love unfinished wood and all of the possibilities. For this tree I used a combination of Mermaid and Dirty Martini Glimmer Glam, Dragonfly, Apple and Kiwi Glimmer Mist and Helmar Antique Crackle Medium.

I think the Mermaid Glimmer Glam is my absolute favorite. You can rally see its beauty on the chipboard pieces(hey chipboard is from a tree right?)

And to see how the Glimmer Glam, stamping and Crackle Medium work together, an even closer view.

I so love that antique vintage look that these products together created. Yummo!!!

Next I've got a wonderful cross to share. Here is the before photo, just so you can see the huge difference Tattered Angels products made.

Now I thought I would try something a little different and give the Heated Pearls technique using Helmar Gemstone Glue and Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam. Holy Doodles, the result blew me away. There are a whole lot of layers that I did using this technique and I'm so excited to share this with you. Who knew that Glimmer Glams would work with this technique. well now we know hehe.

Here is a close up of what the technique itself looks like finished. Like I said, I used a tonne of layers and found the Tiger Lily Glimmer Mist just POPPED whenn I sprayed it into the bubbling glue. HOLY DOODLES!!! You'll see Dragonfly, Apple and Tiger Lily Glimmer Mist as well as Mermaid Glimmer Glam. I did say it was my favorite right?

I also created a flower and the small cross, using metal and Mermaid and Dirty Martini Glimmer Glam to add a little more oomph to the project.

Now on to the last wood project for this months Tattered Angels Wood theme. A simple card using a wooden embellishment and some Bordeaux Glimmer Glam. The Pink Paislee Parisian Anthology papers are sprayed with Dragonfly and Lemon Glimmer Mists. Love Love LOVE this color combination.

You can really see the texture that Glimmer Glam creates with those glitter pieces. Yummo. The flowers are first sprayed with Arctic Blue Glimmer Mist, then painted with that delish Mermaid Glimmer Glam. I so love the look of the Glimmer Glam on dark misted pieces.

There are so many options when it comes to Tattered Angels Glimmer products. They work exceptionally well with wood and I'm over the moon excited that I got to share a few ways to use Glimmer Mists and Glimmer Glams for you today.

Thanks so so much for stopping by. Hope you leave a little comment, letting me know what you think.

Snow Glorious SNOW!!!

Our first snowfall of the season graced our presence yesterday and this morning our daughter says "mommy look!!!! It's time for Christmas" From the mouths of babes right?

So I followed her lead and created this great card using some Nikki Sivils Happy Holly-Days papers, my favorite snowflake chipboard pieces from Magistical Memories and Helmar Liquid Scrapdots. The beautiful ribbon is available at Really Reasonable Ribbon

The chipboard snowflakes were spritzed with Scarlet and Meadow Green Glimmer Mist. Once dry, I added some Icicle stickles to them for that snowy sparkle. This next photo really shows the dimension that Liquid Scrap Dots creates. Love it

Never would have thought to do green and red snowflakes, but i love how they turned out.

After our daughter and I got home from preschool (I'm the teacher in town), we made her very first snowman. Carrots, coal and twiggy arms too. hehe. I'll take a photo of it later today and post it for ya.   Here is the Snowman complete with licorice eyes and buttons, hence the blue tint lol.

Well on that note, I've got some projects to get done. I'm super excited about an upcoming one I created for Say it With Letters. Oh Christmas Tree indeed

Until Next time

Autumn Mojo and a Few Things to Share

Fall has definitely grabbed hold of my Mojo lately. The autumn palette is truly stunning and creating I have been. I received a beautiful Fairy image from Robyn's Fetish and decided to make her an Autumn Faerie. This image is painted using Glimmer Mist. The skin is colored in Copic, but other than that, Tattered Angels has taken this faerie from white to WOW!!! It is also my challenge card for the Fall theme challenge going on right now at the Reasonable Ribbon Blog.

This next card is one of my favorites right now. Filled with 7 Gypsies papers and a beautiful Black 1.5" wrinkle ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon. It is my last card as a design team member over at Raise the Bar. Just a little shout out to Joni.... Thank you soooooo very much.
