And now, for the inspiration!!!!

Now here is my National Scrapbooking Day Hop Project for you!

Each one of us that scrapbooks, is an artist. We share ourselves on paper every time we create. I wanted to create a layout that shared a little of my passion for poetry, so here it is..The Road Less Traveled

The journal tag is from the Noteworthy A paper, which I fussy cut. I added a little Aged Mahogany distress ink to it as well, which matches the color of the Sincerely collection perfectly.

I love the font of the Alpha Stickers from the Sincerely collection. So beautiful!!!

Here is the complete layout. I added some True Blood Glimmer Mist to the flowers to match them to the layout as well. Yup, the Sincerely collection is my favorite for sure.

Now it is your turn to leave a comment and let me know what you are doing for NSD. One lucky commenter will receive a gift of goodies from me to celebrate!!! After you've left your comment, hop on over to Kristin's Blog and see what she has created to celebrate National Scrapbooking Day with all of you.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy NSD to you

Dixie Pieces February Kit- Coloring Book

I love kits!!! The fact that someone else takes the time to make them and select matching goodies is amazing. Especially when you receive a kit that BLOWS YOUR MIND!!!!

Hey everyone, I'm here today to share with you the new Dixie Pieces February kit called Coloring Book. This kit is filled with wonderful black and white prints and a handful of color to give it that extra POP.

I'm absolutely loving the papers from Canvas Corp and Doodlebug Designs. These are such great quality papers and are beautiful to alter with color. Here are my projects I created for this months kit.

This first layout was colored using Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists and I love that it went from black and white to rainbow. I created the banner from the felt that is included in the Coloring Book Kit.

Next a Black a white layout with a pop of color. I think this is a favorite photo of our daughter. Balloons are really fun aren't they???

How about a little card too? I used some Worn Lipstick distress ink to give this one a little color.

Now I have one more layout as well, but I've got that posted on Dawn's Blog today. She was so sweet to ask me to Guest Blog a while back and I am honored that she asked. It is a little personal, but I speak up about my depression. So make me smile and head over there to see it and leave some love.

Tattered Angels and Prima. The PERFECT combination!!!

I think two of my favorite products on the market have to be Tattered Angels and Prima. They go together like peanut butter and jelly and are beautiful to work with. When our theme over at Tattered Angels this month was a partnering with Prima, I just about inked. The creative wheels started turning and I created 3 projects using some of the prettiest color combinations I've seen.

All of the projects below use Helmar Adhesives, they truly are the best there is and I couldn't create without them. My go to glues are Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots, Helmar Premium Craft Glue and Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.

Here they are for you.

First off a layout using the Prima Canvas combined with the Prima Tattered Angels clam pack colors (Patina, Cranberry Zing and Suede)

Next a card I created using Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and water to create a water color effect. Love the result this created.

And lastly a Dreams mini book front page that I created. Tracy Weinzapfel, a good friend, started a challenge on her blog to create a Life List Journal. I have never created a mini book before, but something in Tracy's word inspired me to at least try. Thank you so so very much Tracy for you inspiration and your belief in me. You have been there when I've had troubles and you always know exactly what to say. (if you haven't seen Tracy's blog before, please go take a peek and follow, she truly is amazing in every way)

I'll be back tomorrow with a few more projects for you. I've got posts up at Cottage Cutz and I Brake for Stamps today as well, so be sure to take a boo would ya?

A Christmas Bauble or Two

It is the weekend, and with only a few days left until Christmas, It is time to start prioritizing. Will the baking get done? Don't think so, but that is alright with my moms amazing baking waiting for us back home. YUMMO!!!! The wrapping is on the list for today, as is a few creative projects that need to get done before we leave.

Today I'm sharing with you my last 2 projects for December using Tattered Angels products on glass. These little baubles were so much fun to create and something that the children can be a part of. The first one I used Deep Plum Glimmer Mist and glitter. First, I sprayed some Helmar V2 Vellum Adhesive into the glass ornament so that the Glimmer Mist and glitter would stick a bit better.  I'm quite happy with how this one turned out.

Next i decided to do a little painting on the outside of a glass ornament as well as the inside. For this one, I used Big Apple Glimmer Glam and red glitter on the inside of the ball and Mermaid Glimmer Glam on the outside. 3 coats with each, then it was time to add snow, but how was I going to achieve that. Here is my secret.... Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots added onto the ornament using a stipple brush. Once it was completely dry, I then added a little Stickles in Picket Fence to get the snow. Easy Peasy I tell ya.

Try you hand at creating your very own glass ornaments for the tree using Tattered Angels products. They are so versatile and vibrant. Hope you are all staying warm today. Until next time

Fran truly has everything and some of my absolute favorite products are available. Here are just a few new creations to share with all of you. Hope you enjoy.

This first one was a bracelet I created using Distress Inks, Grunge Paper and the swirl embossing folder from Cuttlebug. I did both reverse embossing and straight embossing to give dimension to the swirl. You Like?

Next a Pals card using papers from My Minds Eye. A little Tattered Angel Glimmer Mist to add a hint of color and VOILA!!!

There is something so refreshing about Bo Bunny chipboard. I can always find the perfect piece for any project. and the Flower Child collection is one of my absolute favorites.

Lastly a Noel card in the cool colors of the new Midnight Frost collection from Bo Bonny. These tones of purples and blues are just wonderful for the winter season.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you are all having a fantastic week. Until next time.

Autumn Mojo and a Few Things to Share

Fall has definitely grabbed hold of my Mojo lately. The autumn palette is truly stunning and creating I have been. I received a beautiful Fairy image from Robyn's Fetish and decided to make her an Autumn Faerie. This image is painted using Glimmer Mist. The skin is colored in Copic, but other than that, Tattered Angels has taken this faerie from white to WOW!!! It is also my challenge card for the Fall theme challenge going on right now at the Reasonable Ribbon Blog.

This next card is one of my favorites right now. Filled with 7 Gypsies papers and a beautiful Black 1.5" wrinkle ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon. It is my last card as a design team member over at Raise the Bar. Just a little shout out to Joni.... Thank you soooooo very much.

Here is a journal from my Art Journal that I created for our Design Team challenge for misting. Almost everything on this page has been created by glimmer mist. HOLY DOODLE.

A Note from your Mother with Jillibean and Helmar

Hi everyone and Happy Thursday to all of you today. Our son is on his very first "big" field trip today and the weather is looking wonderful for that.

I wanted to share with you a card that I created for Helmar today.  The blog post is kinda comical, so stop on by the  Helmar blog to take a read.
This card is filled with Maya Road, Tattered Angels, Jillibean Soup and of course Helmar.

I used this weeks Mojo Monday card and I'm crossing my fingers for a win.All of the tricket pins ribbon and Velvet blossoms are from May Arts and I just loving the Jillibean papers. They all coordinate.

Here it is.

You can really see the Marshmallow Glimmer mist on the close up. I think it is my new favorite color hehe.

Please hop on over to the Helmar blog if you haven't checked it out before. By the way, what was one of your childrens favorite field trips?

Bombshell Pretty in Pink Blog Hop

Welcome to my little part of the Bombshell Pretty in Pink April Blog Hop. We were to create something pink, pastel, or spring inspired projects. Well Pink is my favorite color, so this one was a joy to create.

If you have been following along on the hop you should have hopped here from Steph's Blog I absolutely love Stephanies style. Always something to feast the eyes on creatively. If you've just popped in, then you can hop back to the beginning which is at Kas's Blog

For my card I used the Butterfly Queen set from Bombshell stamps. I stamped the image on Paper Temptress Mica Metallic Paper, then embossed using some beautiful Judikins Kaleidoscope embossing powder. Finished the wings off with some Glimmer Mist and called it a flower. Funny how manipulating stamps can take an image and make it something completely different

Here it is

Now hop on over to Sy's blog for some more Pretty in Pink creations.

One last thing. Did you notice all the new stamp sets that Bombshell has??? Holy Cannoli, they are fantastic.

A Batik Background Tutorial

Hi Everyone and happy Tuesday to all of you. Today for the first time in 10 days, our little boy actually feels and looks healthy. Man he has had a rough go the past while. Nice to see he is bouncing back.
A few days ago I did my march 1st tutorial over at Scrapbook Star and I just had to share the card. I love love love how this background turned out and if you'd like to give it a whirl, you can find the tutorial here.

For the background I used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (one of my favorite products in my craft space) and they really finish the background beautifully.
Here is the card. A happy birthday to any of you that are celebrating a birthday this month.

Love that color combination too.

Today I'm watching the Design team reveal over at GCD Studios. Man they've got a stellar line up for this term.

Hope you all have a fantastic day today. Let me know what your favorite technique is. I'd love to know.

EDITED TO ADD: I just found out that I am one of the Spotlight girls for the GCD Studios Design Team WAHOOOOOOOOOO!

Now you get to see the little Princess

Alright everyone, hold onto your hats, I've done my second layout of all time. These things are tricky I tell ya, but the end result is pretty darn sweet. I decided to do another style of layout from the first one. Figure I need to find my "scrapbooking niche" and as long as I'm learning every time, it is all worth the time I spend on the project itself.

This has to be one of my favorite pictures of our daughter Morgan. She is a little girl who loves to dress up and will do so with almost anything. Jewelry, hats, clothes, sunglasses, shoes...Well you get the picture lol
Here she is...

Let me know what you think. Your input is really appreciated especially being so new to scrapbooking. Cards I can make like a whiz-bang, but scrapbooking is quite different I find.

On a side note, my weight watchers meeting was last night and I lost 5.2 pounds this past week. WAHOO. That made me so happy and I'm looking forward to more exercise to work off some more. Thanks for stopping by today. I hope that you have had a great week so far.

A little spring Cheer and Some Great NEWS

Happy Tuesday everyone. Today I have a little spring cheer to share with you all. Another Glimmer Mist project where I used a masking technique. I love the bright colors that the border brings to the card and love love love how that little dragonfly turned out. Spray a piece of grungeboard with Glimmer Mist then when its dry, doodle using white Glaze pen. Ain't she purdy?

And I've got some really really really exciting news to share. After discussions with Bonnie at Really Reasonable Ribbon, I have signed on to be a Design Team Member. I'll tell ya, if you love ribbon, this is the place to shop. The prices are fantastic, the selection INSANE!!! The good kind of insane though. So take a moment and check out Really Reasonable Ribbon .

Off to check on our little monkey, who has a fever today. Poor little thing I think is cutting her 2 year molars.

Glimmer Mist Love

Hello Everyone and Happy Monday to you. Tomorrow our son is back to school and life gets back to routine which I must admit, I'm excited about. Yesterday we took down all the Christmas decorations and it is nice to see some of those pieces that are packed away for the month of December.

Today I have a wonderful card to share with you that uses a whole lot of Glimmer Mist techniques. Have I told any of you lately how much I love Glimmer Mist? I think I need to get a few more colors. Any suggestions? What are your favorites? I used a grungeboard piece to create a mask then sprayed two colors on the card front. The ferns on the top left have also been "glimmerized" as has the flower. I actually masked off the tips of the petals so that I could get a green mist in the center alone. Lastly the stamped flower image mas been painted with Glimmer Mist. Just spritz some on your craft sheet and use a small tipped paintbrush to pick up the color and apply it to your image.

don't forget to stop by tomorrow because it is BLOGIVERSARY TIME!!!! Just to whet your appetite, there are 2 whole plates of rubber from Hearts in Touch complete with E-Z mount. And that is just the tip of the iceberg. So tell your friends, tell everyone you know.
Until tomorrow
