Magistical Memories meets GCD

Hello everyone and welcome to the middle of the week. I hope that all of you are having a great week so far and thanks for stopping by my blog today.

Today I've got a card to share that will be the new colors of my new craft space. I'll be hopping along to get it all ready, but no time limit has been set yet.

For this card I used quite a bit of paper from the GCD Artsy Urban collection as well as the super sweet Flower from Magistical Memories. There are so many beautiful chipboard pieces at Magistical, that I find myself gravitating to use them ALOT!!! And what would a sweet project be without some Helmar adhesive. This baby is put together with Zapdots and the adhesive runner

The ribbon I used for the card is from Really Reasonable Ribbon. White Leaves, Grey Diamond Ombre and Silver Grey Organza .

Now where is the card you ask? Here she be. This is one of my favorites to date I think.

And a close up of the flower. I created the look on the flower by first painting it with black and pearl paint dauber. Then applied Mustard seed Distress stickle to the top. Easy peasy!

I think these colors are seriously going to kick up my mojo in the new space. Everytime I create something from grey, yellow and white, I smile ear to ear.
Now on to the crazy list of challenges that I've entered this ray of sunshine into

Flutterby Wednesday-use flower with winged creature
Crafty Creations- encouragement
Flourish timeless Tuesday- Use chipboard
Paper Take - Use Flowers
Mojo Monday- sketch
Ooh-La-La- Bright and Cheery
If the Shoe Fits - rain or shine
Raise the Bar- yellow gray white

Thanks a bunch for stopping by. Tonight we are taking the children to the circus. They don't know yet, so I'm sure they will be beyond excited when we get there.

Toodles for today

Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop

Hello everyone and happy Thursday the 13th. Every month on the 13th, all of the Really Reasonable Ribbon Design team will be having a blog hop. Full of wonderful wired ribbon flowers, gorgeous gingham and sensational satin. And since today is the 13th, it is Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop time.

If you haven't started at the beginning, make sure to pop back to the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog so you can see all the great creations. If you have been hopping along, you should have hopped here from Cheryl's blog. This girl never ceases to AMAZE me. talk about the WOW factor.

For my project today, I've used 1.5" Crochet White lace, White Leaves {to create the flower}, and 1/4" Jungle Green Satin All of the paper, butterflies, sentiment and acrylic pieces are from GCD Studios.

Cutting your ribbon and creating thinner borders and flowers, is a great way to step outside of the box, when using  your ribbon stash. Try new things with your ribbons and trims. You might be pleasantly surprised at the outcome.

Now hop on over to the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store and put a few of the products you've seen today in your cart. The prices are crazy amazing and the shipping is faster than Superman.

Don't forget to leave a comment over at the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog for your chance to win some candy.

Thanks for stopping by today. Until next time

Toodles.

Nice to be back

Hello Everyone and Happy Tuesday to all of you. I went back to Calgary this past weekend to spend Mother's Day with my mom and we had a great time. On Saturday, we went to the zoo and the children just LOVED it. Morgan was excited about everything from the baby geese, owls, elephants, you name it, she loved. Markus really is a fan of feeding the ducks hehe.

Today I've got a few projects I made a bit ago using some of my favorite GCD papers from the Artsy Urban line. I just love these and need more hehe.

I absolutely love the texture and sparkle that the Artsy Urban collection has. Throw in a good amount of butterflies and you've always got a winner in my books.

How was your Mother's Day? Did you get spoiled? I sure hope so

Until next time

GCD May Spotlight Gal

Hello Everyone and welcome to my blog. Today I'm sharing my first project as one of the May Spotlight Gals for GCD Studios. I absolutely fell head over heels in love with GCD as soon as I started making cards. I still remember that first piece of GCD paper that went through my fingers. It was the Mosaic Hearts. The texture, the quality, the YUMMO factor!!! Undeniable. I think, looking back, that it was GCD that started my.... shall i say addiction.

Today, I'm sharing with you a project that i've made using the Artsy Urban collection. This line is stunning, and I love creating with it. I love adding a LOT of patterns into my projects and this is no exception. I'm all about the texture. So without further adieu, here is my first Spotlight Gal project.

I've used this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch for this card. Couldn't pass it up hehe
You can see more GCD creations at the GCD Studios Blog and on their Facebook Page.

Pssst, i used a whole bunch of Helmar with this card. Adhesive Runner, Craft Glue and Zap Dots.
