Life

I have been a Michelangelo fan since I was about 4. The work he did is simply breathtaking and when I saw how many Michelangelo stamps I Brake for Stamps had, I was truly in heaven.

HI everyone,I'm here to share with you a card I created with the Michelangelo 2 stamp. I colored the image with a combination of Copics and acrylic paints and I really quite like the outcome. I hope you do too.

To add a little old world "charm", I also added some beautiful metal embellishments from FabScraps and adhered them with some trusty Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive. The papers are 7 Gypsies.

Remember that if you want to grab some stamps at I Brake for Stamps, you can use my Design Team code SAVE10ERIKA. You will save 10% and you only have a couple more days to use it. That is when my term with I Brake will be coming to a close. So go save yourself some money and enjoy all the great stamps I Brake for Stamps has to offer.

Thank you so much for stopping in today. I hope you all have a great rest of your weekend. Until next time.

Autumn Mojo and a Few Things to Share

Fall has definitely grabbed hold of my Mojo lately. The autumn palette is truly stunning and creating I have been. I received a beautiful Fairy image from Robyn's Fetish and decided to make her an Autumn Faerie. This image is painted using Glimmer Mist. The skin is colored in Copic, but other than that, Tattered Angels has taken this faerie from white to WOW!!! It is also my challenge card for the Fall theme challenge going on right now at the Reasonable Ribbon Blog.

This next card is one of my favorites right now. Filled with 7 Gypsies papers and a beautiful Black 1.5" wrinkle ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon. It is my last card as a design team member over at Raise the Bar. Just a little shout out to Joni.... Thank you soooooo very much.

Round 5 Ms Scraptastic 2010

I so hope that you are all enjoying my adventure with scrapbooking. It is so much fun to create these little memory filled treasures. Round 5 of the Ms Scraptastic 2010 pageant was a though provoking one.

Our challenge was to use the phrase "If I could Change 1 thing". We could use 3 photos, had to stamp and also use paint.

I wanted this layout to really have that raw, tribal feel and I so hope that I accomplished that. The papers are from 7 Gypsies and Bo Bunny papers and the wonderful jute trim is available at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Creating those thought provoking layouts is a wonderful thing and there are so many great sites out there that help you with prompts.  Just to let you all know, the jute trim was adhered to the layout using V2 Vellum Spray from Helmar. Gosh I love this adhesive

I'm off to create my 2 projects for the final round at Scraptastic. (they have a bunch of Helmar adhesives for purchase)  Keep your fingers crossed for me. I'm super excited that I've made it this far and I'm gonna knock these next 2 outta the park.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I so enjoy each of your visits.

Queen Kat Designs Blog Hop Tuesday

Hello Everyone and welcome to my last Queen Kat Designs Royal Blog hop. It has been a great pleasure to work with such a wonderful group of girls and I'm grateful for the opportunity that Vicki gave me to be the Royal Kit Kat.

If you are just starting out, you can get to the beginning of the hop by heading to the Queen Kat Designs Blog. If you have been following along you should have hopped here from Kimme's Blog. Love Kimme's work.

This weeks challenge was a cupcake challenge. We had to find a photo of cupcakes to take inspiration from and I found this wonderful one that compliments the July Royal Kit so well.

Here is my card where I've used the Flying High stamp set and the July Royal Kit 7 Gypsies papers.

Now it is off to Roni's blog to see what she has created. Thank you to all the girls at QKD for making my term so enjoyable. You all ROCK!!!!
