I'm Back!

Hi all.

I'm back from a blogging break with a fresh look. The background is my 'Rose Garden' digital artwork, available on Redbubble, Society6 and Zazzle.

I've currently working on an exciting project but that's for another time 😉.

New Tatted Bookmarks

Hi all.
I have some new tatted lace bookmarks for you:

I've just listed this variegated yellow rose bookmark on Etsy. It would make a lovely Spring or Summer Wedding favour. Please contact me if you would like a larger quantity. Bulk discounts are available.

Why not treat yourself or perhaps give it as a gift.

'Janessa' red and green bookmark. This was shuttle tatted in a thinner thread than my other bookmarks and was very enjoyable to make.

I hope you like these. I am currently photographing a new hair accessory that I'll have available in the next few days. Keep an eye on my twitter page for updates.

Bookmarks and An Invitation

Good afternoon everyone. Hope you're having a good week. It's lovely and sunny here although to tell you the truth I actually prefer it a little cooler than this. We have all the windows open yet it's still too hot. I'm just about to go and have a cool drink but before that it's time for a blog post.

So what have I been up to? Well as usual I have several projects on the go. I'm working on two fairly large orders. I've also be making some more bookmark. Here are some sneak peeks:

I'm loving tatting this one up. It uses my 'Janessa' butterfly pattern. I think it looks great in the multicoloured thread although it does mean I've nearly run out of this colourway. I'll have to order some more from the US before I can list more than one bookmark.

This was one of those ideas that looked great in my head but I wasn't sure if it would work in practice. It uses my 'Rosa' design. I decided to use three colours for the rose in the centre and I'm so glad I went with it. A watercolour painting springs to mind. For the sides I'm using cream and olive green thread.

I'll have these two finished and listed by the weekend.

Speaking of Rosa bookmarks, I've listed a white version on Etsy.

This would make a great wedding favour or perhaps a gift for Valentine's Day next year. You can also customize this design here.

One last thing I'd like to talk about today.

Are you thinking about opening up your very own Etsy shop? If yes then I have an invitation for you.

If you click here and then create and open your shop, your first 40 listings will be free! Cool eh :)

Time to get back to the work.

Have a nice Thursday,
Heather x

Ethereal Bookmark: Part 2

~Ethereal Bookmark: Part 2~

(Find part 1 here)

My ethereal rose bookmark is now finished and listed on Etsy.

It was carefully tatted, using my original design, in high quality pale pink and white cotton threads. It's 1 3/4 inches (44 mm) at it's widest point and just under 6 1/2 inches (162 mm) long. It comes in its own handmade  stiff card slipcase. Care instructions included.

If you would like this in different colours, please check out my custom listing here

I'm just about to finish the other gothic bookmark (find a sneak peek here). This will be listed soon.

Ethereal Bookmark

(Find part 2 here)

Hi to all and Happy 4th of July to those in the US.

I'm  currently working on an ethereal bookmark and I thought I'd show you some work in progress pictures.

I'm using my 'Rosa' pattern but this time I've gone for a lovely pale pink thread, in the picture above.

For the vines I've decided to use a white cotton thread. I'm now up to a point where I can start sewing the ends in. What do you think? I should have this listed in my Etsy shop by tomorrow.

Keep up to date with all the latest news through my twitter page and Facebook fan page.

Have a nice Wednesday,

More Roses

~ New listings ~

'Rosa' bookmark - this limited edition (1 of 2) creation was tatted in blush pink and cream cotton thread with green cotton thread for the vines. Find it here.

'Rosa' coasters - this set of two coasters was tatted in variegated blue cotton thread. This was my prototype design and I have since changed the pattern slightly, so I'm listing them as one of a kind. Available here.

Updates

Good afternoon all. I hope you had a nice weekend. Lots of things to talk about today. First of all here's my latest new listing in my Etsy shop. I'm on a roll with my rose bookmarks.

I tatted this one in Yarnplayer's wonderful 'Corsage' thread with a green thread for the vines. I love how it's turned out. This is a Limited Edition creation. I will only ever make 3 so once they're gone, they're gone. You can buy it here.

Over the weekend I finished another rose bookmark, this time in a lovely hand dyed thread I bought recently in a craft shop in Rochester. Again this will be a limited edition creation.

There are also large variegated blue roses on the way. If you want to see a sneak peek of this click here.

These are ready to photographed, unfortunately it looks like the British weather is winning at the moment! A large cloud has just appeared. As soon as the sun comes out again I'll photograph then.

In the meantime I'm currently tatting a variegated red rose for a gothic bookmark.

I hope you like these when you see them.

Have a nice day,

Heather x
