Fancy Dress?

The challenge this week at Jellypark Friends is "Costume" so you don't necessarily have to make a Halloween project although the theme fits that too (& that's what I did) so there's lots of scope :D  My image is called "Boy in Halloween Costume" & is one of the new releases today in the Jellypark store & while you're browsing the store why not check out the fab Jellypark magazine, it's full of projects & inspiration & even a competition!  I coloured the image with ProMarkers, the papers are from Designs by Krista (such a bargain at just $2 for 16 patterned papers & 4 plain ones).  The ticket is from the Raindrop Echo's Halloween Ticket Sentiments again & I finished off with a border punch, brad & a plastic spider.

The challenges (there's quite a few Halloween ones about at the moment):
Delightful - Halloween
Card Makin Mamas - Halloween
The Crazy Challenge - Halloween
Papertake - Spooky Hues
Paperplay - Use Black
Paper Sundaes - Halloween or Fall
Digital Tuesday - Happy Halloween

This week's challenge at Stampin' for the Weekend is "Spooky".  My image is from The Paper Shelter & called "Franky Pastry" (lol), I coloured him with ProMarkers & added black glitter around the edges.  The papers are digi & the bat one is from Designs by Krista (not sure about the other 2).  The ticket sentiment is by Raindrop Echo & I finished off with ribbon & a brad.  Halloween is getting near so why not join in the fun :).  I'm entering my card into the Kraft Outlet's Make it Monday's challenge which is "Spooky Stuff".

Thanks for looking & have a great Friday :D

Willow Sketchie Challenge

It's been a long day today, we had Basic Life Support training at work & then I still had to work til 6.30 (we usually get to go home early on a training day) so I'm feeling a bit whacked tonight but at least it's my day off tomorrow (hooray!)

It's been a while since I've entered the Willow Sketchie challenge & this time they have an added incentive: you can win a Letraset wallet filled with ProMarkers! (the sketches are always fab too).  I kept my card quite simple cos I didn't want to hide this gorgeous sparkly paper which is from the "Up, Up & Away" paper pad from First Edition.  The image is from The Paper Shelter & called "Sleepyhead Moon", the sentiment is from Raindrop Echo & I finished the card of with some ribbon & a charm.

 The challenges:

Paper Sundaes - Anything Goes
Critter - Anything Goes
Creative Inspirations - Let's Celebrate (10)
Allsorts - Clean & Simple

Thanks for looking & I hope you're having a great week :)

This card was made using a Paper Artsy (I think, I've had it ages) rubber stamp which has been glossed with Spray & Shine (I couldn't get a good photo but it looks like a tile), the papers are digi & the ticket was free from Miss Cutiepie.  I distress all the edges & glittered most of them too.  The flower was another dissected flower from a cheap bunch of artificial flowers which I inked & glittered & added some punched foliage, I added a ribbon, bells & the greeting is from Raindrop Echo.

Anyway... on to the challenge at Sentimental Sundays this week which is "Let It Snow!", so a good opportunity  to get on with those last minute Christmas cards (of which I have lots!).  My card is made with a Snowman stamp I've had for years (sorry can't remember make/name) & the image coloured with Twinkling H2os.  The papers are digi & the sentiment is from Raindrop Echo's New Christmas Sentiments  available from Whimsy Stamps; there are some fabulous designs in this set & perfect for last minute cards. The Sentimental Sundays challenge this week is "Thanks for Thanksgiving" (with a sentiment). Every week there a free sentiments to be had too & this week DT member Chris has designed a fabulous set called "Thankfully Yours" so there's no excuse not to join in ;).  This card is a bit different for me as I prefer cute & girly but I know that not every one does!  I used the new Gratitude sentiments by Raindrop  Echo Designs, the papers are "Allsorts" from Crafts House & are gorgeous double sided & pearlised.  The butterfly is a stamp I've had for ages from Anna Griffin & although I don't use it very often I do love it.  I finished the card off with a doily, flower, ribbon & charm. Hooray for Bank Holidays!

Isn't it great having a long weekend? Especially as I managed to fit some extra crafting in (though I have gotta get the tea ready in a mo so better be quick). I tried a couple of new things on this card: messy stitching (which I really like), I thought this would be hard as I usually like things neat & precise lol but it was very easy & I'm sure I will be doing it again & I made a crepe paper flower from this fab tutorial (mine isn't as gorgeous as Terri's but for a first attempt I'm quite pleased but I'm gonna have to get some pastel coloured crepe paper). The sentiment is free from Raindrop Echo Designs & there are lots of others to choose from. The papers are from Designs by Krista, the butterfly stamp is from Anna Griffin & I finished the card with some gems & lace.

I'm entering this card for 6 challenges:
For Fun - Sketch
Sentimental Sundays - For That Special Someone
Creatalicious - Flowers and Wings
